I wasn't paying attention doing some work and thought I was replaying Mr. Fullers brother Ron's interview for a second listen while I worked and it took me ten minutes to realize it was Robert they look so much alike great interview as always gentleman
I'm glad you got Robert on. Big fan. He and his brother Ron, are one of the last links to the past. They have A great family history and are A major contributor to wrestling history. I'm lucky I got to grow up watching Southeastern/ Continental. Great stuff
Huge fan of Mr. Fuller never really saw him till he got the Col.Parker role. But was fortunate enough to see several shoot interviews with him and got to learn how much his family contributed to wrestling.Whay I find hilarious is you listen to guys like Robert and Stan Hanson and they sound like your southern uncle or grandpa but when they were in their prime they were scary as hell.
I always wondered why Robert's grandmother, Roy's wife divorced him so late in life. Amazing story. Robert is the BEST guest you've ever had fellas. WHAT a GREAT storyteller, and he's so honest because he tells his own secrets too, a pregnant wife and a girlfriend in every town LOL
I don't believe he's ever spoken about it on the record, but Robert's 'gifted' physically haha. Not surprised he was a hound-dog like. Pretty sure he's on wife #4 now.
Awesome show guys Robert is a incredible could listen to him for. I live in Southeastern Kentucky which was ran by the fullers Southeastern championship wrestling.
I’m from GA My Grandfather was a farmer and picked me up every damn day of summer to work on his farm. Most kids got a vacation and I did free labor. My Grandpa picked me up first and put me in the back of the pickup truck and then got the other workers. This also happened every school break, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I would be freezing. He treated all the help the exact same way and I too was the help. I would get in trouble for “telling stories” while the others gave me chewing tobacco. Why? Because we where not working and I was the reason 😊 I can relate to soooo many of these stories. My Grandpa and I would watch 605 wrestling on Saturday after working the farm and them are some of my favorites memories with him.
The Fuller's Southeastern championship wrestling was the best wrestling program in the United States. I was fortunate to live in a area that was ran by them and saw Robert live many many times. Was a big fan of Robert Ron and Jimmy golden. When That wrestling program was on, it was the only time my grandpa wouldn't work.
Im just discovering how awesome these are. Sweet!!
Thankful I lived all my life in North MS where I got to see him in both Memphis & Continental. Now I'm ready for part 2!

Great show! Southern men are always the best story tellers. And I’m not biased, I’m a northerner.

That was great! A bit of audio problem on Robert's end, but I look forward to part #2!
It’s difficult to hear all his lines. I hope they figure it out soon.
Great episode
Glad to know it wasn't just me. It was great though!
@@halmiller6834 yes sir. This is like a walk down memory lane and a historic lesson all in one session
🤘🔥🔥🔥
Colonel Robert Parker.
I always assumed that Christine Jarrett worked her way into the promotion the old fashioned way lol
Wait...so Christine Jarrett put a hit on Robert for insinuating that Roy was having an affair with Her? Did I get that right?
And how about Jerry telling Robert years later that he thought Robert was right about Christine and Roy
You always hears the stories about his gut wrench lol
Rip Rogers said you could put a wristlock on it 😂
@@russblack443 was that rip or honkey that said that lol
