Indonesian food is like witch food, because the color is like witch potion (there are purple, green, red, yellow, white, black, blue, gray, brown, orange, pink and others in the food). Not only that, in one food name such as "Satay" or "Nasi Goren" or "Mi Goren" or "Sambal" there are many variations. It also has many flavors in it be it savory, salty, sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, bland and others. Seems like a witch food, very unique and diverse and all Indonesian dishes can be combined and improved. Because I know there are Indonesian foods with strange names, including "Sambel Setan", "Bakso Beranak", "Kue Tete", "Keropuk Miskin", "Es Teler", "Makaroni Ngehe", "Kue Cubit", " Seblak Mewek " and many more.
Okay, if you pay attention to Indonesian food, it doesn't look beautiful, but if you eat it, it will have a unique, strange, soft, soft, sticky taste, etc., blending according to its name. of every dish. It is not easy to adapt Indonesian food to the tongue, because every dish is always different using different types of spices. I've even tried Indonesian food called "Sayur Bening", "Sayur Lontong", "Sayur Asam", "Sayur Nangka". If you pay attention, there are indeed similarities in the word "SAYUR" but they are different in terms of appearance, ingredients, taste, color and others. Those are just a few that I give examples, there are many other uniqueness.
I conclude that : Indonesian food and drink is not a gimmick. Or it can also be called the King and Queen dishes, because each dish is served in various categories into one section, namely "Indonesian Food". ❤️
You guys should come to Bali soon! Great editing btw, & as fellow Asean you nailed it for the pronunciation. Also thanks for bringing up that ‘acai bowl’ thing, good point.
Hopefully one day when international travel opens back up in NZ! Definitely on the bucketlist 🙏 Thanks fam!

You are both great. I’m glad I found you when searching for food in Greece (my wife and I are going on October for our one year anniversary) and you deserve to take over this food/travel section of this website.

I miss Auckland sooo much! i used to eat at Ponsonby. Still a great place to hang out and eat I guess.
Definitely some great spots popping up in Ponsonby!!
Indonesian cuisine IS the best in the world🤪..sure sure im a bit biased as i grew up with indonesian food🤪🤪 not being objective here haha..then again, that's impossible when it comes to food...we all tend to prefer certain flavor profile which we grew up with. Nice vid tho.. especially the part when you mention people going to bali and eating western food, afraid to taste the local flavors.🤦
Can't blame you there, we all definitely are biased with our home flavours 😆 Thanks for watching!!! And yes tourists need to get out there and try some new flavours, some of them are missing out!!!
alay
Dude but ur name is carlos liwang what race u are?
I miss Auckland so Much. Thx for this video Bro
I miss new market, queen street, elizabeth park, ponsonby, K-Road, forth street, Backpackers at the corner of forthstreet which has Diary at the entrance, Morningside Area, Takapuna , everything about Auckland

OMG-i would love to try that fish.
Really some of the best fish we've had!
I agree with you about Western food in Bali. There are even foreigners who say the atmosphere is like in the West, not like in Indonesia..
Haha, part of the joy of travel is eating the local food and they're all missing out big time! 😅
Need Suckling pig / Babi Guling, Chicken or duck betutu, lawar, urap, and pork satays to get the REAL feel of Balinese cuisine, bro! The meals look more Javanese to me.
They did say their menu is a mix of Javanese and Balinese food but hopefully, we can try those dishes you named one day!!
Jimbaran grilled fish is a Balinese culinary
