great review Chris. I went with this as my first purchase of the series. I agree that it's a bit more complicated than the earlier boxes and that Legacy would be a good starting point. It worked for me because I already had lots of play of the first box content through the app so that's another suggestion :)
@@DevilboyScooby yeah I would say so. The central mechanism is playing around with the lack of shuffling and trying to optomize things. Try the app it will surely go on sale with steam autumn sale in a week or so
I have the first 2 AEs and love them!! Thought that was enough, but this has some interesting things that may bring me back for more-especially since I don't like legacy games and this one has a campaign that's not too long. 🙂 Great review! Very helpful and informative without spoiling everything 👍👍👍
I have this but haven’t broke the shrink on it yet. Aeons End The New Age came before this and introduced the expedition system (mini campaign). It’s great.
Really? You don't like Legacy because you think it's too long? I have it but haven't opened it yet. I'm waiting for an opportunity to play with two of my siblings who both love the game. I personally think the expeditions are too short. I wish they were longer.
I don't know why I punish myself. I just sold all my Aeons End stuff because if I'm playing with gamers I'd rather play Clank and with new people I'd rather play Summer Camp and yet I still clicked on it. Chris go back to Lacerda games (which I'll still watch just for fun) so I don't feel that regret. I know I ain't getting a Lacerda game because my father would burn it when he saw it lol
@@JoseMedia2421 oh its great! It's very light but thats why i got it. It's just simple deck building and racing but there are 7 different decks and you only play with 3 a game and mix and match them.
I read comments from a bunch of people's experience with it and how annoying it is and being one of the most annoying in the game, and after playing it for the first time a few months ago I see why. It's annoying, but not that hard. I beat it on the first try both solo and with two players.
Yay Aeon's End coverage!

Is it an okay starting point for someone already familiar with deck builders (Dominion, StS, Star Realms)?

Great video, very informative as a potential new buyer.

One of our most played games. Great stuff!

MINOR SPOILER:
AE: Outcasts is fantastic for the addition of ......
Xaxos replacing Gravehold.
True but please put a spoiler warning or something as it's a nice surprise for new players :(
@@FaisalBasonbul You're right, I edited it.
@@jakesanders9834 thanks! That's a nice way of doing it. I'm gonna steal that 😊
