I went to school with the first fella (not joking), he is half Dutch and half Egyptian but lives in Germany. He is fluent in all three languages and studied football and sports business. I can guarantee you he is 0% German. He even went to the game to support his team.

Southgate owns a Ferrari but only goes to the corner shop in it, he has no idea of its capabilities and doesnt know how to drive it properly, he has luckily stumbled upon his best side and if the 11 that finished against the swiss start against the Dutch we might have a chance, but we all know he wont and it will be back to the same unbalanced static holding pattern until we go behind.
Just depends if he subs Kane at half time when he sees him ineffective again? I assume he is going to start Kane that is? Sorry Harry may not be your fault, but the system played or lack of crosses doesn't suit you. @@bernardm2528 Better to be lucky than good, right? No international coach has been luckier than Southgate. Every tournament, he gets a great draw -- and every tournament he screws up the game. I understand international football just fine, I just hate to see an English football team loaded with more talent than it has since 1966 produce games that put everyone to sleep. Nice to have low standards, I guess.
@@Intelligencia I do agree. Southgate's plan is to stifle the opposition and stop scoring. If we had been more adventurous against Switzerland maybe we would be 3-0 at half time because everyone was saying how good they were? However I agree I think we should have 20:shots on target in the first half with more crosses instead of 1, some of those are bound to go in.

@@keithdanks766 They actually do have a better attack. Englands best forward players are all benching that's why they always make comebacks when there are mass substitutions. If Saka, Palmer, Toney, Eze/Gordon starts England might wipe the floor the Netherlands but since these players never played together from the start, it might fail massively it will result in a tennis end to end match

Everyone that is anti England will all be back Holland- the Netherlands. The Dutch might have been in disarray in the early parts of the tournament, but they will raise their game and levels. On their day, they are no pushovers and can definitely hurt opponents that also have weaknesses.

Your problem is your centre midfield, no klaasen or de jong, those two in your centre midfield are garbage, gakpo is your biggest threat but Kyle walker has the pace to keep him quiet, just ask mbappe! I do think you will beat us narrowly but your not beating Spain or France in the final, your the same as us, always the bridesmaid never the bride.

Who knows though? It's disappointing that Netherland are missing Frenkie De Jong and Koopmeiners who would have been real difference makers. Netherlands will probably have good moments of domination and fail to take chances after leading by a goal. Then England scores from another lucky chance to drag the game to extra time and either wins it there or in a penalty shootout.
France are going through with own goals and penalties, yet England are the most criticised? I understand they’ve been negative in the tournament but to be completely honest France aren’t much better 🤣
Gareth Southgate is a draughts player in a chess tournament. Doesn't know his best team and setup after all the games so far. He has learnt very little in this tournament or in the previous 8 years, except how to win on penalties, maybe that's our best chance!

It's set up to be a perfect storm. France will beat spain, southgate will beat Holland and France , playing his boring football. And guess what, everyone will complain.

Most England players are being put on a pedestal for doing one or two good things in the whole match but they're mostly underperforming. Saka scores a goal and he's suddenly world class again, forgetting about the 200 back passes he does.
Southgate is a fraud and i pity the club that appoints him as their next manager.
Saka is not world class in my opinion. He is decent, but he is not world class. Needs to do it on a consistent basis before he can have that title placed on him . Football fans are in over their heads sometimes when they can't decide whether they praise or condemn players.
