Is adding the chemical a must for sediment core processing?I am about to open a core sample for the first time, your video is very helpful! Thank u!

Adding the sodium polyacrylate is optional. It is useful for preserving the gytcha layer (mud /water interface)

is munsell soil chart can be used in color analysis of marine sediment core samples? thanks.

Robin, yes. The Munsell color system has been used to analytically describe color of sediments, soils and much more ...including things like hair and skin color even the color beer!
