This is so cool!!! Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad I found this channel! I haven't looked through the rest of the channel's videos yet so maybe you've already done this, but it would be really cool if you could do some videos interviewing the scientists doing this work on how they ended up in this field. Maybe they could also talk about the educational path they took to end up doing this work?!

Welcome, we're so happy to have you! That's a great idea and we'll definitely look into working that into our content for 2024.

understanding the natural carbon storage allows the btwaves crew to push for conservation legislation! The amount sequestered can be converted to a monetary value X number of dollars to further support natural infrastructure and show the impact for coastal resilience

I’m about to buy Seagrass flooring for our house with the primary intention of being environmentally friendly-is the purchasing of seagrass flooring actually harmful to our environment?

Thank you for the great question! As with all natural resources, the method of harvesting is crucial. If the seagrass is grown on a farm specifically for manufacturing with sustainable practices, it is not harmful. If the seagrass is harvested directly from meadows in the open ocean, that would be harmful. We appreciate people like you who consider these variables with their purchases!

AWESOME WORK WELLS!!!!! Love this video BTW! Do you know what percentage of each core sample is at risk to natural disasters or human impact that may potentially displace the carbon that has been stored more recently?
