Love your videos! I am planning a honeymoon in May. What is your suggestion for best resort? Considering Costa Mujeres or Riviera Maya.
Thanks a bunch Taylor! We really appreciate you watching our videos. Congratulations on the wedding and honeymoon coming up. You know we have been to the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya so many times because we lean towards that resort. We like how it’s more immersed in the jungle, how each resort has its own set of restaurants and we have a tradition of finding our “sitting” place to hang out and talk. In Riviera Maya each resorts lobby has tons of relaxing couches and chairs to hangout with a bar right by. Also if you want to go to Chichen Itza, Tulum or the many parks like Xplor and Xelha staying in the Riviera Maya will put you a lot closer to those sites. However, if you’re looking for a more modern newer resort that’s closer to the airport than Costa Mujeres would be your best bet. So I guess in a nutshell you really won’t be disappointed with either location. It’s just what appeals to you. If you have questions or certain examples of what you’re looking for be sure to ask us. Thank you so much, your videos have been so great to give a good review and preview of what to expect to ensure we book a great trip! We were completely lost with thousands of options but excited to narrow it down. I know you enjoy the trips and making videos, but it truly helps others be able to plan a good trip!
I think we are going to stay at Kantenah in the Honeymoon Suites (we like the idea of being closer to your secret hideaway beach spot!) -from looking at maps compared to your video, it looks like "our beach" is at the end of Kentanah... is that correct?
Nice! That will be a great trip. You will love that suite. One of our friends got upgraded to that suite for some lucky reason. It had an outdoor shower and the bedroom was really nice. Yes “our beach” is at the end of Kantenah. You kind of walk through the jungle a little, around some outdoor beach beds and you pop up on it. The water was like bath water and not as many people. So with its own bar, it’s the best spot. If only I had drone footage of that I could show it a little more. It’s funny I think our videos have referred more people to those resorts than Grand Palladium even realizes. LOL. Be sure to let us know how it goes and if you have any other questions. Was here about 15 years ago! It’s beautiful resort... feels endless so many things to do and relatively easy to get around with the train. Glad to see it looks just as nice as it did when I went... can’t believe it’s been that long!

Grahams on a Road Trip I will be in September but at their brand new resort the costa mujeres just north of Cancun it looks amazing.

The pool off white sands pool is not the Royal pool it is an adults only pool. There are a couple of adult/quiet pools at the resort. Glad you enjoyed it.
Just watched your video and realized that we were there the same time as you in 2019! While watching the video, I noticed us walking by when you were filming at the spa! Small world!
No way. That’s crazy! And finding this video out of all of RUclips too, how does that happen? What state or country are you from? Now you have to watch are other Playa videos and see if you pop up in those too :)
@@GrahamsonaRoadTrip I was shocked because it didn’t see a time frame when you were there. I first saw someone that I thought looked like my friend and then realized it was him! I had to rewind and then saw myself too. We are from PA and have been to the GP/TRS resorts a few times. I will have to watch the rest of your videos now!

The colonial lobby before it burnt down! It has changed so much. Just came back from our trip this June. The smell of seaweed is strong all throughout the resort. Only one lobby open for the resort not including TRS people!
That’s too bad. I heard about the fire. My brother was just there a few months back. I sure hope they can get back to where they were soon. It’s such a great resort.

We just planned a trip there. Pretty sure that area of the beach you speak of may have been pretty vacant because I think it *appears* to be reserved for the people staying in the TRS portion of the resort, even though it's way on the other end of the property. According to the map anyhow. Either way, looks nice!
Hi Mark. Yes there is a fenced in portion reserved for TRS but the beach you can use and what we call “our beach” We have been there 4 times and recommend that beach.

Amazing video! Just have one question? Staying at either of the Grand Palladium resorts allows you to enjoy the amenities of all of the GP resorts around like the Kantenah, Colonial and White Sands? Thanks in advance for the help, going there next month and would love to have that clear!

Hey guys, great video! My and my fiance are getting married next year and we're looking to potentially book here for our honeymoon. Would you guys recommend this place for a couple? Also when you pay for all inclusive do you have full access to everything on the resort? I know some places have certain areas/beaches that cost extra for a upgrade!

Hey thanks Ryan for watching our video and congratulations on your future wedding. To answer your question if you stay in TRS (the Royal Suites) you have access to everything. If you stay in White Sands like we did you still have access to everything including “our beach” but you wont have access to the Royal Suites restaurants or Royal Suites amenities. This resort is awesome. So if your budget works I highly recommend TRS for your once in a lifetime Honeymoon. If you have never been to an all inclusive its going to feel weird when you don’t have to pay for anything other than extra curricular like hang gliding, souvenirs for example. Grand palladium costa mujeres I’ve watched all your videos love both places we’ve never done all inclusive we are cruisers but with COVID looks like this is the new plan and I don’t want to pick the wrong one..... help!!!! Even open to another different one... you might suggest... I also see you came to Wyoming by chance did you come through greybull wy.
First thank you very much for watching our videos we appreciate that. Just a shot in the dark but I’m assuming your husband is a cop. Please thank him for his service. Crazy small world. We live in Casper so I know exactly where Greybull is. I’m an insurance broker and travel the state. I use to do some business in Basin with the hospital. We haven’t traveled that way in a while but soon will be heading to Powell and might go through there. It’s a nice town. It amazes me when somebody from our backyard sees our videos.
Cruising is great in fact we will be posting a video on a cruise we took from New York down to Nassau. Of course that was before Covid but we had fun.
To answer your questions. I would really have to know what your goals are. Do you want to see more of the landmarks while in Mexico like the Mayan Temple, Tulum and ruins? Or, would you rather go to a resort that is more immersed in a jungle setting? Or, are you looking for a more modern resort? We haven’t been disappointed with any of them but have our favorites. Let me know these answers and I will give you ideas.
@@GrahamsonaRoadTrip funny small world yes he is a police sgt in greybull he was one on the gang unit in los angeles before we moved here 4 yrs ago! I own Brandis Candies & sandwich shop in greybull so stop by for lunch or an ice cream when you come through!!

Thanks Alex. Yeah it’s a Mother and Son team and they do great work. This is the 2nd time we have bought glass items from them. Our dog was 50.00 US. However, prices vary depending on the size and difficulty. You can also negotiate with them a little. They are really nice people and I would recommend anyone visiting this Palladium to track them down. Typically they come a couple of times per week. Hi, two questions, do they have Coca Cola or Pepsi? and two: Do you have access to Palladium White Sand restaurants? I noticed that good steak and Italian restaurants are there so I wonder if you can access there staying in the colonial or is there also steak restaurants there?

Hey Julio thanks for watching our video. They Coca Cola. Yes White Sands, Colonial and Kantenah all share the same restaurants. So you can eat at any of them other that TRS. @@GrahamsonaRoadTrip hey thanks for the quick repply. This is really helpful. Another two: do you Know what is the difference between Colonial and Kentanah? In the hotel website descriptions are almost the same. And the second one, I really like to go the beach and swim there, so how is the beach to get in and swim. I look for resorts with kid pool because of my daughters but I'm more passionated for the beach rather than swimming pools. In fact, we are deciding between this and another brand in Costa Mujeres( Riu dunamar or Palace) which seems also a nice place with these two requirements that I look for my family vacations. Hey Julio. Yes the resorts are very similar. I think rates are close too. Colonial is a little more central in the resort so some like that as well. But you won’t go wrong with either resort. As far as beaches go the beach at this resort is one of our favorites. It’s like bath water. If you watch the part of the video where we talk about “our beach” that will help explain why we like it.

Thanks a bunch for watching our video. I can’t say we have seen turtles at this beach. But of course that could change depending on the time of year. It’s a great beach though. The water is warm and that sand doesn’t hurt to walk on.

Is there 2 or 3 resorts on this property ?
It’s actually 4 made up of multiple resorts that you have access to. The resorts are Kantenah, Colonial, White Sands (then you have TRS or The Royal Suites) If you stay in one of the first three you have access to everything but TRS. If you stay in TRS you have full access. Our room video is on a suite in White Sands. Definitely check that out under our resort playlist. Thanks a bunch for watching.
