Bangkok is amazing, but we live in Chiang Mai, Thailand 4 months out of the year. There is a welcoming black community, nature, better food, waterfalls, stunning cafes, and a less crowded lifestyle.
Thank you for this review of Thailand. My neighbor in New York was from Thailand and introduced me to Thai food. I never looked back. It's been my favorite cuisine for years. I've already made up my mind to become an American expat and was considering Malaysia. But will now put Thailand at the top of my list as a potential relocation country.
We’ll be posting some more videos on Thailand so you can make an informed decision. Thailand and the Thai people are beautiful. We are looking forward to going back and spending more time in each city. We were disappointed with Phuket, because although the beaches are gorgeous there were too many Russians with attitudes for my liking 😳. Thanks for watching and let us know how else we can help your journey.

Hi My name is Teresa. I now live in South Korea. In 2020 God started impressing upon me the need to leave the e USA. Fast forward today, I no longer live there. I would love to chat!!!!
Hey, yall. Beautiful people. This is Johnie, heading to Bangkok 2025. Can you give some places to stay. Keep up the good work. Peace and blessings always.
If you want to save money, rent a place further from heart of Bangkok, at the end of BTS line (skytrain) on Sukhumvit Road, costing around $500/month. But if money is no object, any condo near BTS station in central Bangkok are aplenty, costing about $1000/month. Consult Google, there is plenty of info.
My goodness, what about a 71 year old Black female who lives on Social Security. I'm in decent health but only live on $1,500 monthly but I would LOVE to leave America but am fearful that Social Security would be terminated and my sole purpose would grind to a halt. I wish I could go but I don't think it's feasible for me but good luck to all who venture out.
US Social Security Benefits/Income is not a problem in Thailand and most Americans there receive SS income. You would continue to auto-deposit into your US bank, and one of the Thailand Retirement Visa requirements (and there’s more than one Thai Retirement Visa) includes a monthly International Transfer of 64,000 baht (today = $1,871) to your new Thai Bank account. There are other requirements and strategies to dealing with the Visas and paperwork. Do your research. Over the past 5 years, I have researched every aspect of living in Thailand as a retired person.
I have a feeling if they terminate your Social Security that’s kind of the talk. What they’re gonna do have a feeling that let’s say you’re 71 to give you your money worth for maybe another 30 years they’ll give you that money all of it and then terminate it that’s what the plan will be if they terminate it. They’re not gonna just take your money away. I don’t think that will ever happen but they will give you whole money considering you live certain amount of years sending you blessing blessed 2025.

Heard in 95' that Singapore was very clean when the Yt kid from the states got CANED For Vandalism/Graffiti. Buddy told Me back then Gum in Public was really not allowed.
Yes, Singapore is very strict. We just had to visit though and it has a vibe. Chewing gum is still banned in Singapore. They have a lot of rules so I could never live there, but I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Wow, it's dismaying to hear your experience with other AA's abroad. That has not been our experience at all. HOWEVER, there was on AA young lady in Bangkok that had tude oozing out of her pores. I said hello to her and she acted like I called her out her name. I didn't take it personally because she treated my girlfriend the same way. I just thought, "I'm sorry you don't love yourself". That's been my only experience since living outside of the US.
There are different types of Visas, John. For example, the retirement Visa requires about $20k+ in a Thai bank or about $1900/mos in income. It must be renewed annually. Here's a link where you can investigate the different types of visas and their requirements: www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/thailand-visa-types
I just have one question: how long was the flight, meaning actual fliying time? Our last trip to Portugal last month was 12hrs (LAX-MAD) and it wore us out! I think that's my maximum. So if your flight was longer than that, I prolly ain't gonna make it.
From LAX to BKK is also going to be a very long flight. You would likely have to stopover in Hong Kong or Seoul or Tokyo before heading onto Bangkok. But the first leg is going to be in that 12 hour range. Maybe there could be a flight from LAX to Honolulu and you can do a stopover there and then from there onto Bangkok. That would break up the flights into shorter segments.
🤣 Here's what you do, take and airlines that's subsidized by the govt. e.g. British airways, Air France, TAP, etc. They usually have a layover deal where they will put you up in a hotel for 1-3 days 😉 - break the flight up because Thailand is THE BOMB!💥
Good video just a little too much rambling. I'd respectfully stay focused and follow an outline for the specific topic, otherwise a good video. I suggest looking at the format from Thailand Working for you another You Tuber.❤
There are a lot of people that don't have money. Some of it is systemic and some of it is because of choices we made yesterday. But a person can change those circumstances. Look through our Get Your Money Straight playlist.
Not true. Having a net worth of $1M+ doesn't mean we're bringing in that amount in income annually. It means if we liquidated all of our assets (which we're not going to do) than we would have more than $1M in cash...before taxes. We cannot afford to live in Switzerland where the visa requires an annual income of $100k. We live off of about $35k per year so that we can use the extra for travel.
I never listen to Elders who built wealth on a strong dollar. This is especially true when a pension hits their bank account every month. Selling or renting a home, they paid $25K for that sold for $500K. The world has changed, and this weak dollar is brutal. Why would anyone abandon the US dollar to live in Thailand?
@@newmoneymarcus Moving overseas, you don’t abandon the U.S. dollar, you try and get a job (remote, your own business) where you’re paid in dollars and take advantage of the exchange rates.
Because the dollar is relatively strong in Thailand and other parts of Asia. Which is clearly stated in this video. I have lived in Indonesia and Vietnam for over 6 years.

@OurBlackUtopia Good idea. I have wanted to go for years so that just might be the best way to get there.
Good video just a little too much rambling. I'd respectfully stay focused and follow an outline for the specific topic, otherwise a good video.
I suggest looking at the format from Thailand Working for you another You Tuber.❤
How about you do a video then?
Some people's don't have money
There are a lot of people that don't have money. Some of it is systemic and some of it is because of choices we made yesterday. But a person can change those circumstances. Look through our Get Your Money Straight playlist.

If you are really worth a million dollars, you can afford to live anywhere.
Question:- Why did God invent wars? 🤔
Answer:- To teach Americans Geography.
😅
and yet...Thank you so much for watching and please forgive the delay in responding. Our travels throughout Thailand 🇹🇭, the holidays, and Ric and I being under the weather 😳 have put us behind.

@@joelong2787 Beloved that is the format of our program. Thank you for commenting and letting RUclips know that it should continue to promote this video 🙏🏾
Please stay in the United States, Joe. Don’t mess up the Thailand Vibe for me
She just Rambling I can’t take it 😂 and not Staying on point . I’m out .
You need to stay in the United States
Thanks for adding to the convo and telling YT that more people need to see this video. 🙇🏾♀️
Then go!
America.. love or leave it!
You should talk more about laws in Thailand. It's a very strict country. You're going to have brilliant black people serving life in a Thai prison for acting like African Americans in America
I have no idea what you mean by "acting like AA in America" 🤨
