Great vid. Love the KLM 25L landing with the Continental 737 25R takeoff at 11:58-12:07. Don't see that too often especially when you're a passenger on an active runway roll out!
thank you for explanation. but if we compared: Boeing 777-200 which has MTOW 263080kg and power 185500 lb(2x93250lb) and A 340-300 which has MTOW 275000kg and power 136000lb(4x34000lb) . we see the diference in power considery MTOW is about 35% !
the A340-300 do not have weak engines.. it doesnt need more than that.. If it was underpowered it wouldnt be certified for traffic... reason for the long takeoff roll on the A340 is high flex temp(High flex temp = lower N1/lower thrust) on takeoff to save fuel.Combine that with a heavy A340 20 degree celsius and high humidity,and you get a long takeoff roll... A340-300 have shorter takeoff distance needed at MTOW than many of its comparable sized and weight aircrafts...
