At the beginning of this song, I feel complete exhilaration. As if my journey is almost complete. And as the drums and guitar fade, I get the feeling that my journey is complete. What an AMAZING way to end an album...
Couldn't have said it better myself. Exactly what I felt, it's like you enter your final chapter as the song proceeds you're gliding towards the end. As your 8 minute journey dwindles you're back to reality but you want to go back as you fight the mysterious tears that start to behold you. This is music, for those that truly appreciate rhythm and tone.
whenever I'm feeling hopelessly lost, confused, alone in our great, dark, empty existence, this roaring cacophony rips me up and out on a soaring cosmic tidal-wave, stretching my mind, my matter, and my will into the shape of the infinite universe, and everything makes sense. nothing is everything, we're all a part of it, and life is the breathtaking beauty we are blessed to experience as we gaze up at the stars, and our minds and souls go up and out.
I am at university right now trying to find out who I am during this time of emerging adulthood and I stumbled upon this band in a forum. I have not felt as exhilarated as I do listening to this in a very long time. This reificates the idea of me finishing my degree and then move on to graduate school to help those who are down and out about life. I know this probably wont be read very much but I will leave you with a quote that rings true to my life from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and take a look around every once in a while, you could miss it.
I remember listening to this song on the drive home from highschool graduation, now I'm here about to graduate from Uni and it still resonates the same way. I'm glad i'm not the only one
This song is perfect. I feel like I'm floating through space, or a dream sequence. Like I can see it all. Comfort. It hits real deep but, you know you will overcome this. It's feels like seeing someone you haven't seen in years, hugging them. It feels like never letting go, and letting go.
When I first found out that this song actually ended around 4 mins in, and the last 4 minutes are just reverb, I couldn't believe it. They really know how to make 4 minutes of fade-out sound interesting.
This is the type of album that every band should strive to create. Hardly ever now do I feel a sense of journey's completion after listening to an album...but this is definitely an exception.
I jammed this whole record yesterday on my drive home from work... the sun was setting as this song came on... it was transcending... this album is so fantastic...
I love how this song is really simple yet, because of the atmosphere, it doesn't get boring. It's not supposed to be crazy-and-innovative-sounding, it's just to be a fucking moving piece of music, and They didn't fantastic job with it.
If someone was to tell Me that this song is thousands of years old and that these guys wrote with the inspiration from a muse, I'd fucking believe it. :P
My great great great great great greeeeewaaat grandpa worked on the railsin chicago way back in the day. His ancestors, my grandfather, were super christian. At the sight of my father weeping at his fathers mortality I witnessed true belief. Been a Christian since still blowin lines and dealing my things but always remember grandpa in heaven :) this song for me
There are certainly similarities, but I don't know if I'd go as far as "blatant copycats". I mean if we're going to go that far than everyone is a blatant copycat of someone. Every artist/band out there is just putting their own spin on everything that has already been done, really. It's the only way to go about it.

I almost feel tears forming when this song comes on directly after Plentitude...to say this is powerful is a complete understatement
I listen to this when I walk to work each day. No bullshit story, I just feel like an absolute boss each and every time.
Absolutely the best instrumental I've heard in a while. Beautiful. Perfect.

What! You’re right! I haven’t listen to this album soooo many times and I never noticed how long the reverb is. This is amazing.
God, first time I hear this song and I almost cried.... fucking intense, so emotional
If Earth was being destroyed, this is what we'd hear.
Смерть красна издалека

touches my soul everytime.
8 dislikes ?? Who doesn't like to transcend time and space ?
Hah, 1 year later and it only has 1 additional dislike.

Used to love blazeing it up to this song, pure eno level genius.
intense, so emotional!!!
Yeah, the main reason why I listen to stuff like this is because it has such a powerful atmosphere to it.
@MrAnchell I have to agree with you there. Words cannot describe how this track makes me feel.
I've listened to this song every day since I first stumbled upon it. Love when that shit happens.
Fucking love it!
L'album en entier défonce ! Découverte du weekend !
This album needs to become a movie. Simple as.
Freaking amazing. The whole song is slow and peaceful, but so powerful at the same time.
Adding this absolute masterpiece (entire album) to my weekly rotation. Well played.
