- The tiger beetle is one of the fastest of its species, reaching speeds of up to 5.5 miles an hour - that’s 120 times the length of its body, each second.

I love that the insect would be what The Flash should be, if you're super fast to move, doesn't mean your reaction and sight would be
But the flash is not just fast-moving. His speed force affects everything. Which means his speed should make him age faster😂
@@barunjena6171
Being in superfast motion actually makes you age slower.
@@barunjena6171 irl without a speed force the flash would have to hop
@@THEGANJASAINT no it doesn’t actually in time and space law being incredibly fast you’ll age the same even if you stopped the time motion around you completely as you will still be in motion some how, and we didn’t even add the fact that you’d be stopping the motion behind you with your speed alone meaning you’ll be using your or some energy making you die in an instant if your using the regular energy a biological being uses
the flash actually is able to think super fast

@@firmak2 like the Leatherface or Ghostface of the insect world.
Jungle Juice brought me here! If you’re an anime/manga fan that’s into bugs, “Jungle Juice” is the manga for you!

Cheetah : I'm the fastest !! 😎
Barracudas : I'm the fastest in ocean. 😒
Tiger Beetle :

Sailfish and black marlin are thought to be the fastest in the ocean, reaching speeds from 110km/h(68mph) towards marlins alledged 128km/h(80mph), barracuddas are relatively slow compared coming at around 58km/h(36mph)
🌺Insects are so crazy. Such varied and
exotic evolutionary adaptations. Great info in this and fun to watch. -Henry
Man the tigers Beetle larvae always spooked me everytime because it's so fast it a blink and you miss it thing which makes it more terrifying
2:28 that larvae went YEET
I already knew that thanks to Animal Crossing.
Yep
I've caught every shark
I can't wait for the new fish
I already know what fish and bugs are coming lol
Same for pocket ants
This bug is flawed
It has to stop to look at its prey
2:27 weeeeeeeeee!
Beetle: Beetle Speed!!!
THAT'S SO COOL! I didn't even know these existed.
I would choose this insects DNA for my terra formars powers 😳
“yes! i caught a tiger beetle! i pounced first!”
ahahahaha that ant got fckn YEETED out of existence
Why are they not called Cheetah Beetles?
480mph beetle. It has to hold some secrets to this ability.
It's 480mph for humans to accelerate and cover the amount of distance the beetle does but scaled up accordingly to size of the person
@@jkj1394 whoosh
So the babies are so sharp they develop the hunting habits of full grown trap door spiders, jfc.

so ur telling me when they run what they see is just lagging?
Blurring, brain cannot process the information
Truly this is the cat of the insect world.
Joe Pera told me about these beetles.
Korean manhwa: Jungle Juice Brought me here haha im curious 😂
This big can run 125 humans per second dear god how can a big like this exist
i like how the larva slingshotted the ant
The lady's voice can be used in horror movies
Is that to help abrahams? Ring a bell?
480 miles/hour = 772 km/hour. do you know shinkansen?, fastest speed is 320 km/hour. now IMAGINE a human runs MUCH faster than a bullet train. sheesh.
2:28
*YEET*
It looks like it has a camo on it
Imagine these things at human size
I think bro is just lagging
When a bettle can run faster then you:
Anyone here because of Jungle Juice? Just me? Kay.
carl davidson is op af bruh

@Allen Boniface - - it's really difficult to "like" the Smithsonian RUclips Channel (to which I am subscribed) because their offerings generally seem to be limited to "teasers" which never complete the story. I guess they think that will stimulate subscriptions to another one of their genres/venues.
what story are you referring to exactly? this video is jampacked with tidbits of information I never knew in under four minutes. natgeo is accessible to anyone on the internet if you want to watch it instead
Yeah, it's very

I better turn the volume mute, I don’t want to hear non sense.
Bro there was a way faster bug that I saw the bug I saw LITRALLY teleported

Oml you just read my mind. I think the show is getting me more interested in entomology lol X3
Diana Animations it’s weird because I’ve watched the show for 8 years (since I was 4) and not once have I bothered to google
I hate that I don't understand this metrics :/
What’s jungle juice??
A webtoon about humans with insect super powers

I'm pretty sure house centipedes move faster than that, tbh
I know a few women like that

What type of physique would one need to aquire??

Im still trying to wrap my brain around the moon being about the size of Australia.
I chased these speedy little buggers around for several hours one afternoon trying to get a good photo. Even when they were walking they were a lot faster than me, you have to sneak up on them on full stealth mode
sneak 69
It's really funny to think of this bug stalking it's bug prey while you are stalking your bug "prey"
It's upsetting me that you would try to do this

2:32 lucky? It'll have PTSD for its whole life! Imagine going on a walk and the floor was actually an lion
and if that lion punted you about 30 metres
Shell shocked
So an insect version of a tron bike... if it had a meat shredder built into the front.
And the larva are just land based Bobbit worms. That’s horrifying. Glad I’m not a bug.
1:20 Even this beetle has the decency to wear mask
Bahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lime Lives Matter-Interesting. It looks exactly like the beetle is masked.
Labrum, mask, same-same
I love finding Tiger Beetles, they are frustrating to try and photograph though. Very fast.
That's Captain Carl Davidson for you

00:39 hang on are you measuring sprinter by a stand-up profile for 'body length' or by height (5'10" on avg lying down - which would be an awkward sprint for-sure) for that mph estimate?
Fahrenheit? miles ? was this made in the 1970s?
Why hasn't evolution fixed the sight problem ? 🤔
The video's good and all, but they don't just live in dry deserts.
For ex. Thw green tiger beetle (Cicindela campestris) can often be found in temperate areas full of short green vegetation. They live in a lot more habitats than just dry deserts. Otherwise, i really appreciate your videos. Videos like that can help me better understand and appreciate the wildlife that is all around me. Keep up the good work.
BTW, isn't the species in the video
Calomera littoralis?
That‘s not C. littoralis, that‘s most probably Cicindela transversalis, maybe even C. transversalis pseudoriparia 😊
Okay so I think I just found a new species of bug, I can't find it anywhere on the internet, I was outside in the sun, and I was looking at the ants, when I saw something so small, like orange or reddish running so fast that it reminded me of quicksilver, yes it was so fast that that's the first thing I thought of, it's so tiny I don't think I can even catch it on my camera, but now I'm so curious, I need answers and idk where to get them, if anyone has any idea of what it might be, pls tell me
UPDATE: I managed to record it, I'm still confused about it
Can u post it somewhere?
I love this insect 😊😄. Not for nothing my Sonic Fan Character is a Tiger Beetle 😁.
And I see that more than one has already caught one in the Animal Crossing New Horizons xD.
they're also palatable to bats
Jungle Juice
I came here from turbo
Is it just me or have they been posting a lot of animals featured in animal crossing? 😂 purposefully or accidently, either way I'm here for it lol!
I once saw a very small insect that looks like as if it's teleporting.
“Clean” the chair really fast? 😂
is anyone else only here because of animal crossing (new horizon)
I Swear on my life silverfish is faster

It’s pretty dumb for people to think the cockroach is fast…this is way better
This video reminded me of Heisenberg principle. Accuracy vs speed.
I came here after reading jungle juice and this insect will be my target.
