The manga it's just really beautiful and realistic, talking about real problems that people suffer and have to overcome through their youth, the fact of not felling part of the society, getting boring of your job, felling that you are not doing the best with your life that you need a big change, that you took the wrong way and that you could have taken the another choice, the love, the loss, the sadness, the hope, the friendship. It really combines every felling and experience and damn, it's just so realistic. And the song it's just beautiful, parting with the person that you have been to be a new one and start making a change with your life, the lyrics are perfect. The song and the manga are just masterpieces.

I can't quite describe it, this band just nails a certain unique tone in each song yet somehow manages to keep the same general style. If I could pick a handful of specific emotions from a list I could probably match them to a handful of specific AKG songs. While I can't comprehend their words it truly feels as if I understand the intention behind each song.

You understand the intention of the song because that's how the band intended on playing it. What sounds good to your ears has 100% nothing to do with lyrics. When you disassociate the lyrics from the music, you're much more appreciative of the bands overall sound.

Solanin is what most of the people in their 20' need. Even tho u do not have everything figured out and u do not have ur shits together, it doesn't matter. Its just a messy start that will turn out well. This manga makes u feel like ur ok even if ur a mess cuz ur only at the beginning

I can't quite describe it, this band just nails a certain unique tone in each song yet somehow manages to keep the same general style. If I could pick a handful of specific emotions from a list I could probably match them to a handful of specific AKG songs. While I can't comprehend their words it truly feels as if I understand the intention behind each song.

You understand the intention of the song because that's how the band intended on playing it. What sounds good to your ears has 100% nothing to do with lyrics. When you disassociate the lyrics from the music, you're much more appreciative of the bands overall sound.

I've always thought it was a cool name so I was curious where he got it from and he told me it was from a manga called Solanin. Never really read the manga. Fast forward this 2018 and it was the first time I've heard this song from a random recommendation. Then I remember there was a manga with the same name. I've just finished it today and it made this song 200% better. Like holy hell rip Taneda you've made me cry like a bit--!!

Easily one of my favorite tracks from AKFG. It gets me every time and I still listen to it on a daily basis. :')
I tried to make an English translation that would sound somewhat correct, while also somewhat preserving the meaning of the song.
I did take quite a few creative liberties though.

I absolutely love this, I never knew there was a live action, I had only read the manga, I'm gonna watch the live action asap, akfg are my fave band and asano my fave mangaka, so I'm actually interested to see how will the live action pay out :))
