Few hints on car tuning in general: 1. Pay attention when the car instability happens (low/high speed corners, enter/exit of the corner): if, for example, you're oversteering in low speed corners then aero tuning wouldn't do a thing and you should pay attention to springs and ARBs more and vice versa (to some extent). 2. Order of tuning is important to dial in things faster. Start with springs tuning, then tire pressure, then toe in/out and camber adjustment, then ARB's, then differential and finally aero tuning. Change one setting at the time and try to feel what makes car more predictable. It is recommended to overhaul suspension tuning one time after you tune ARBs in that order because different adjustment can interfere with each other and at the end you can deal with stiffer springs on the rear for example. 3. Stiffer suspension doesn't make the car more stable! Technically speaking if you rear axle lacks grip resulting in oversteering you should lower springs stiffness on that axle. Same for the front axle. 4. ARBs are extremely important in series of turns. If your car enters first corner normally and over/under steers on the very next turn that's an ARB issue. 5. Changing brake balance slightly to the rear from default setting can be very beneficial in taming corner entry understeer - less braking force frees space for more turning force. 6. Bump Stiffness is generally set in between 50-75% of rebound stiffness. 7. Differential tuning differs a lot between RWD/FWD/AWD cars. There are reference numbers on the internet and in Forza community especially.
Solid advice. This was more of a how to do it versus how to actually properly tune your car. I feel like most of the settings are goofy in this game and going full stiff or soft doesn't make a difference compared to other games.

The only one thing I'd like to point out especially is that some parts can hide effect from other parts to some extent. For example differential is very powerful tool for dealing with over/understeering issues, but if it's tuned before suspension the handling effects from changing i.e. springs stiffness can be almost unnoticeable. Same thing goes with aero tuning. That's why certain order is recommended.

A minor critique though, when talking about putting a value 'up or down', sometimes it's a little confusing depending on what the slider refers to (like the downforce one), but I think specifically saying 'left and right', rather than 'up and down', might help. 8:28 If you have hard, low travel springs you can easily get launched if you go over a curb at high speed, and passing the grassy centreline slows you more when you're driving low and hard.

surprised you dont run more front brake bias, i spent most of my 50 hours messing with that brake bias due to the graphical bug, i dont have as much time in this as you but i am surprised about the downforce being backwards and the tire pressure increase gives grip which is also backwards wtf
Do you seem to do barrel rolls quite often? Like it feels like it's SUPER easy to roll cars in this game, I turned a corner pretty quickly in a race, never hit a curb or anything, I may have throttled out a lil quicker than I should've, but my Huracan just straight rolled over as if i hit an invisible wall and I did like 3 barrel rolls, i've also clipped curbs and instantly rolled, heck i've seen AI traffic be drunk swervin, clip a curb and it just gets tossed into the air and does like 18 barrel rolls it's hilarious but weird. lol it just seems like the Center of Gravity is completely off or something lol.
I spent a while yesterday trying to tweak tunings but the menus were very frustrating. It may be mine was bugged but the top speed, acceleration, etc stats on the left would either not show the changes as I made tweaks or seemed incorrect when comparing say the custom set up vs sport mode. I’m also curious if there is some sort of Meta with workshop parts. For instance if there’s a daily driver DR 500 event, is it better to go in maxed above 500 and take the automatic changes or build your car with specific parts to get to 500? Or you could throw in an off-road suspension which doesn’t show any decreases to your actual performance and instead take more engine upgrades. This was a pain to test though because you need to return to the workshop every time to make changes
It is better to build your own parts. Offroad and all road suspension plus stock gearbox. Then adjust from there, but that allows you to keep mostly all of your HP while lowering your PR.
@ it can be done but going up and down in the gears while driving I was just trying to see if there was a tune to help it do it without having to do all the up and down with the gears
I think I am gonna skip the ranked races until they fix the balancing between AWD and RWS cars. I've bought mostly RWD cars and they are not good against AWD cars at the moment. Lets hope the patch comes soon.
@@KingdomTwelve Ah I haven't got any hypercars. For Supercar F40 I can't get anywhere near the AWD cars once the F40 has been autoconfigured for the race because it takes off all the parts that make it better.
RWD takes a certain finesse. Not to say skill issue, but it takes more time and more effort to get results with RWD. AWD is amazing for racing irl, so I personally dont mind the disparity. I actually enjoy RWD a lot in track races because it is easier to get slip angle
Tyre pressure is a lot of nonsense in this game. What is the logic of having lower pressure, hence more contact with the road, but losing traction? It should make you have lower top end (more friction)! Ride height might be noticable---by crashing and flipping more often---when going over kerbs and stuff.

Also the brake system has to be bugged. Doesn't every car in existence have bigger front brakes and you always go for more front breaking or at least never below 50? You cant base 100% of Forza Tuning on this game it's physics is completely different. You really have to start from scratch and figure out TDU3 metta.

With a solid tune they can come close. My FXX-K was only 1 second off a Veyron on a track. And I'm not even that good.

The game gives you money as you play.
You gotta be level 50 to even be allowed to buy cars like that anyways so being able to afford hyper cars at level 23 isn’t really a concern
