"You tell 'em whatever the Bible tells you to tell 'em" is one of the best Christian responses I've ever heard. It really is just that simple. Stay faithful to the scriptures and let the Spirit do the convicting.

@@Used777_07The various Reformed sects do the same thing with Baptism:
      BAPTISM BAPTISM
      DOES DOES
      NOW NOT
      SAVE SAVE
      (1Peter 3:21) (1 Opinions 4:25)
      BIBLE REFORMED SECTS
Many are being made REPROBATE NOW, in time, but were NOT
Reverse-Elected to REPROBATION in eternity (Romans 1:28).
Such are fitted to destruction (Romans 9:22) NOW in time, in that, in addition to their impenitence in which they store up wrath against the Day of wrath (Romans 2:5) They also wrest Scripture to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:16).
For to wrest Scripture is to make God their enemy (Jeremiah 23:31)
But still God bears even with those who DENY the Lord who BOUGHT THEM (2 Peter 2:1)
And does not delight in their death
but rather that they should turn from their wicked way and live
      (Ezekiel 33:11)
For God will have ALL PEOPLE come to REPENTANCE (2 Peter 3:9)

@@Used777_07The two are actually true at the same time and from very different perspectives.
      Consider John 6:45
It is written in the prophets,
      'And they shall be
      all taught of God.'
      Every man therefore that hath
heard, and hath learned of the
      Father, cometh unto me.
which is a quote from the New
      Covenant promise of Isaiah 54:13
And all thy children shall be
taught of the LORD; and great
shall be the peace of thy children.
It is the Father that opens our eyes and draws us to Christ. Yet it is by Christ alone that we come to the Father.
Have you ever thought about Peter's great confession of faith and Jesus' remarks to Peter?
      And Simon Peter answered and
      said,
'Thou art the Christ, the Son
      of the living God.'
      And Jesus answered and said
      unto him,
      'Blessed art thou, Simon
      Barjona: for flesh and blood
      hath not REVEALED it unto
      thee, BUT MY FATHER which
      is in heaven.'
      (Matthew 16:16-17)

@@mathete9968 It's also true that we could separate the Old Nation of Israel, who knew God through the covenants, and were being drawn by the Father, from the Gentile nations who were without God, or any hope, in the world (Eph 2:12) and not being explicitly drawn.
The Father speaks through Christ, but it's been given to the Son to dispense eternal life (salvation) and unless we believe in Him, that's not going to happen (John 8:24). Narrow is the way. Since Calvary, Jesus is the one drawing all men to Himself (John 12:32).
Calvinism’s regeneration before belief in Christ doctrine opposes the Gospel pathway which is hearing the Gospel, believing it, then regeneration (Ephesians 1:13). If one wants to believe the Father chose them in eternity past, it must be on the grounds that they have first believed in His Son.
Since the Calvinist has a total inability to know personally if he's the elect by their doctrine, along comes Lordship Salvation (works, repenting of sins) which must be present in an unknown quantity as proof of salvation. There are voluminous deconstructing testimonies lamenting how difficulties with the flesh led them to despair that they were ever chosen, that God probably hates them. Jesus never put this works burden and vagueness on men. Salvation is a free gift to whosoever will believe in the Son, and we can take that to the bank.
      John 6:27-29 NASB95
Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, *_for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal."_*
[28] Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?"
[29] Jesus answered and said to them, *_"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."_*

This is a cop out. This is a tacit admission that he has nothing to preach and that he doesn't know the answers. He has failed in the most critical duties of a minister. This is not a matter of some abstract concept such as how many angels there are. This concerns the very heart of the Gospel which he clearly cannot preach to anyone no matter what he claims !

The gospel is easy but also hard to understand sometimes, that's why God wants us to ask him in prayer for answers instead of thinking we understand it all. Do not lean on your own understanding it is written. God reveals what he wants to reveal to every person, that means not everyone has to understand predestination, because God knows better why. You have to ask God if it is true and to make it clear to you. There is written in Romans 9:18-21: "Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden. One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us?For who is able to resist his will?” But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?" / Be blessed!

God simply calls us to be repenting and believing the Gospel.
(Mark 1:15). And your sentiment is very wise. First focus on these things and learn about Predestination only after. This was Martin Luther's advice in his preface to his commentary on Romans. "Observe the same order as the chapters in Romans".
The notion of surrendering is not biblical. However the focus on true Contrition and Faith is everywhere in Scripture
      (Psalm 34:18; Psalm 51:17; Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 5:4)
As for Predestination, it consists only in God's choice of his elect .
Try reading the Formula of Concord (both "The Epitome" and "The Solid Declaration") in the Lutheran Confessions on the topic of "Predestination" - It very much follows the wisdom that you displayed in your answer .

I had heard (remotely) of you, yet only recently have listened to many, many sermons and have been so impressed with the truly deep knowledge of Bible doctrine(s) - HOWEVER: I was dismayed, lately learning about your 'take' on predestination/Calvinism/election. I don't understand. I just DO NOT understand; so perhaps I need to hear further, your explanation of this belief of predestination.? I could not exist in peace, believing this viewpoint, as I would be afraid I was not, after all, saved, as I accepted Christ as personal Saviour many years ago, and have lived with complete confidence that I was going to heaven, according to scripture, not by works, but by grace/faith. How may I be at peace believing that I may not be one of the 'predestined' and that possibly I would end up in hell? I would live in fear all my waking hours, if I believed this. You are so spot-on with every other topic of which I've heard you speak (charismatics, cults, homosexusality, etc., on and on...) so when I heard you speak about predestination, I was surprised and left speechless.

Predestination is something God knows on an individual basis, but we don't, because we are not God. God knows in advance who will reject Him and not believe in Him. In that sense God already knows who the elect are, even when you are in the womb. The elect or chosen ones, are those who GENUINELY repent of their sins, believe that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour and endure to the end through trials and tribulations in the process of sanctification. The reality is, is that God knows in advance those who are going to reject him despite hearing the gospel and his saving grace, just like he knew in advance that Judas would betray him and Peter would deny him three times. God knows who the elect are, but we don't, so spread the gospel to everyone.

I feel that if you are being lead by the Spirit then you speak the Truth in which He places on your heart. If that is predestination then speak it. If the elect are the elect then we need not be afraid that we are somehow going to divert God’s plan and will by turning someone off to the Gospel because we speak our understanding of the truth.

My family that are Baptist say that God looked into the future and saw that they would make a choice for Him. Which makes no sense at all. That is not Election. Or predestination. They seem to place their faith on the fact they made the choice. That is terrifying and boastful. They are puzzled with my conversion. I walked no aisle. I recited no prayer. I made no profession. God changed my heart in a blink of an eye. Crushed me, humbled me. Brought me to repentance. He did the work on my heart in order for me to have Faith in Christ. He planted the desire and hunger for Him in my heart. My profession comes from His work in me. He chose me. He Saved me. 🙏

      I thought it was pitiful.
I witnessed a preacher who admitted that he had no good news to preach. For if he CANNOT and IS NOT able to tell me that I have a Crucified and Risen Saviour when I most need that news, then he has no Good News, no Gospel, for me.
All he can offer is uncertainty and shifting sands. That is no foundation to build upon.
Many a Calvinist has fallen apart after they sinned. For they came to the following conclusions:
      - If Christ did not die for all, then how can I know he died for me
      - If I sinned or fell away , maybe I was never a Christian
      - If I was never a Christian, how can I know Christ died for my sins?
      - But if Christ did not die for my sins then I am not among the elect
      - Of I am not among the elect then no amount of contrition, no repentance, no heating of this uncertain and sandy and foundation-less pseudo Gospel will avail me anything.
      - If I am "in the bag" , no amount of sin will lose my soul
      - But if I am outside , no amount of preaching and hearing will avail me anything . I am lost .
      What a hopeless message !
And I have seen this very thing happen among a number of Calvinists .
I have known strict Baptist members go 50 years "waiting for the call"
I know of a calvinistic Baptist pastor who despaired of his salvation until he finally read Luther's commentary on John 1:29 where the Holy Spirit showed him that Christ takes away the sin of the WORLD, and not just OUR sins (1 John 2:2).
I knew of 2 Presbyterian ladies who went all their lives despairing and wondering whether they had a Saviour
I know of a former Presbyterian who despaired of salvation after reading John Bunyan's abominable reprobation chart. He told me that the false and completely unscriptural doctrine of Reprobation utterly destroyed his faith..
The way home is to return to the reformation principle:
      Sola Scriptura.

@@BuddyLee23Divine truth is not determined by logical deduction but by revelation (John 17:17).
I am a trained scientist and genuine science is that which is asked upon measurement and observation and experimentation.
Pseudoscience is built upon conjecture and unproved hypotheses and "clever sounding" arguments.
But getting back to Calvinism ...there are two extremes, Calvinism and Synergism (Arminianism)
      - Calvinism goes beyond Scripture revelation (Deuteronomy 29:29) and ends up following human reasoning.
      - Synergism / Arminianism doesn't follow Scripture and also follows human reasoning
Ergo ...logic cannot find out God
Canst thou by searching find out
      God?
Canst thou find out the Almighty
      unto perfection?
It is as high as heaven; what
      canst thou do?
      Deeper than hell;
      What canst thou know?
      (Job 11:7, 8)
The natural man receives not the
things of the Spirit of God: for they
      are foolishness unto him: neither
can he know them, because they
      are spiritually discerned.
      (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Right on and here is some more that is in the book #1 (1 timothy Chap2 Verse 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6Who gave himself a ransom for ALL.
Saved = guarded from injury or destruction; especially from the power and consequences of sin; Synonyms: protected Savior One who saves, preserves, or delivers from destruction or danger.
#2 acts 24 verse 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselfs also allow, that there shell be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust
      # 3 Romans c 6 v 7 for he that is dead is freed from sin. We all die.
#4 LUKE C 3 V 6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God

Webster's Dictionary SALVATION= The act of saving; preservation or deliverance from destruction, danger, or great calamity. 2. (Theol.) The redemption of man from the bondage of sin and liability to eternal death, and the conferring on him of everlasting happiness.
#5 Colossians 1 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
RECONCILE=To cause to be friendly again; to conciliate anew; to restore to friendship; to bring back to harmony; to cause to be no longer at variance; as, to reconcile persons who have quarreled.

CONCILIATE = To win over; to gain from a state of hostility; to gain the good will or favor of; to make friendly; to mollify; to propitiate; to appease.
#6 1 Timothy chap 4 v 9-11 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of ALL men, specially of those that believe.
      #7 1 John 2 2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.(PROPITIATION) means The act of appeasing the wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person; the act of making propitious. PROPITIOUS means The act of appeasing the wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person;
      #8 Romans Chp 5
      WEBSTER SAYS!
abounded means To be in great plenty; abound means to be very prevalent; to be plentiful. Prevalent means Gaining advantage or superiority; having superior force, influence, or efficacy; prevailing; predominant; successful; victorious.
NOW HOW IN THE WORLD COULD CHRIST GRACE BE MORE PREVAILING, SUCCESSFUL AND VICTORIOUS IF IT DID NOT TAKE IN ALL CREATION AS DID THE SIN OF ADAM. ANIMALS AND ALL.
      Romans Chp 5 K.J.V
18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
      Romans Chp 5 GOD'S WORD® Translation
18Therefore, everyone was condemned through one failure, and everyone received God's life-giving approval through one verdict. 19Clearly, through one person's disobedience humanity became sinful, and through one person's obedience humanity will receive God's approval. 20Laws were added to increase the failure. But where sin increased, God's kindness increased even more. 21As sin ruled by bringing death, God's kindness would rule by bringing us his approval. This results in our living forever because of Jesus Christ our Lord.

The best thing I heard Pastor MacArthur say in this video was you don't resolve tensions through philosophical musings. You do it by exegesis of scripture. God has revealed those things that He wanted His people to know. We need to submit to plain reading of scripture even when we don't like it or fully grasp it, and then stop there. And one can tell someone the gospel of Jesus Christ without saying to them God loves you and Jesus died for you. You can't find those words in scripture being used by the apostles when they evangelized.

I struggle with this a lot. I have, over the years struggled back and forth always keeping one foot in heaven and one in the world. I know deep down I want Jesus God in my life more than anything but I find myself day after day committing deliberate sin even after knowing truth and having some wisdom. I end up almost believing that I am predestined to go to hell because I cant explain my obvious choice to choose sin and the flesh over what God wants for me. I take turns hating myself and accepting my fate and also telling myself that I will change but never do. One thing is for sure I have never gave up even after grieving the holy spirit over and over. I'm so disappointed in myslef but also cant help but wonder and be upset that maybe God has predestined me for hell. Pray for me or help me understand something I'm not seeing, please!

Nate, predestination is a Calvinist belief,I believe it is tainted, and my proof would be the Cross. Jesus died on the cross for all mankind, and at the cross it was finished. Ok, lets straighten some of your thinking real quick. Unlike most people commenting I have read the entire bible several times. Its amazing how many people claim to be christian and haven't even read it entirely once. They subscribe to a faith that they don't even know. This results in misinformation. Lets talk sin. Sin is unacceptable but unfortunately inevitable, you are fighting and hating yourself as described in romans 7. This is natural. first stop focusing on the fact that you are committing sins because that is backwards. If you get rid of all your sins you still are not saved. "no man can come to me lest the father sent him. What saves you is not the absence of sin, but rather that you have received the holy spirit as it says in Ephesians chapter 1 verse 13-14. so if you have the holy spirit, its done, you are saved and nothing can change that ever. IF........you truly have it. The fact that you are at war with yourself demonstrates that you have the spirit already in you, this is why you are conflicted Romans 7. because there is no good in us unless we have Christs spirit. our "free will" isn't really free, its enslaved to our fleshly impulses. If you love and enjoy evil or just the sinful things of the world that many people consider ok or natural reflects the absence of Christs holy spirit. The body desires what is natural (sex) but what is natural is not spiritual. Anything outside of Gods will is "sin"/ evil. Because God's will defines Good and evil. so while it is natural for you the crave that of the flesh, the spirit convicts you to aspire to that of the spirit. so does this mean I can go and sin? no and yes. as a believer sin should make you feel sick. If you enjoy it, its because God is not in you to make you hate it. If you sin while you have the spirit God will still save you because you are his and while you are struggling at one point in your life or another you will eventually over come it If you indeed are God's chosen. The danger is if you think you are saved but you truly aren't and you delve back into sin and wallow there, this reflects that God never was in you you simply received the word with joy for a time but then fell away. The bible says they were not of us because they left us, this is how we know they were not truly one of us. Sin acts as a reflection of your standing in Christ not whether you are saved or not. The spirit testifies to you that you are saved but is not truly known yet by anyone other than God since he knows the future. How do you know you are saved as oppose to thinking you are saved? answer is you continue with Christ and endure until the end of life. Lets say you go your whole life following Christ but then turn away before death. You thought you were saved but you didn't endure. This is the problem. Sin will always be with you to one extent so long as you remain in these decaying mortal bodies, but God tells you to put to death the deeds of the flesh by the spirit. Meaning you need to focus on feeding the spirit within you. so that it grows stronger. Praying daily cut off all secular entertainment, read the bible, stop masturbating, having sex outside of marriage, stop any passions that you unknowingly have elevated to idolatry status, sports, cars, movies....just stop for a while and super charge the spirit inside of you by just giving yourself the spirit.Just reading bible, watching bible movies, talking about God and scripture, listing to worship music.... basically the reverse of everything you HAVE ALREADY been doing for satan's worldly devotions of the flesh. Do this and you will find you will find your body has a chance to heal. you will stop craving the things we make idols in our lives. sports may not be evil in of itself but the fact that you may start to make it your love, that becomes less of what can be given to God. Pornography, trying to be sexy and beautiful, the desire to have wealth and big homes are all part of being sick. First take the medicine known as the holy spirit before you try to hide the symptoms of being sick, once the medicine fixes you then the symptoms will abate. stop attacking the symptoms that is backwards. if you have aids and leave it untreated suffering from open sores will covering the open sores prevent you from death? no. symptoms are only for you to know the state that you are in, it doesn't save you to reduce them by outward image or your manual efforts, it must be done by the holy spirit itself.
1.forgive anyone who you hold grudges against or who has wronged you
      2. talk to God all alone by yourself.
      3. confess your sins to God anything you remember (be honest, he knows everything anyway)
      4. Tell God you want to surrender your life's ownership to him completely. Tell him all that you are is now his forever. Your life your love, your heart. You are nothing more than his servant from now on. (and mean it)
      5. Ask him to heal your heart and purge you of all unclean spirits and to give you the holy spirit. Ask this in Jesus Christ name.

@@arielanna6691 First you have my prayers. Sometimes fear is a good thing warning you of potential danger, other times its not, and disables your ability to function in the manner necessary for the tasks at hand. First you need to determine what you are suffering from in order to know how to best go about treating it. This is a good fear, because one, its telling you the spirit is in you and convicting you. The spirit is our guarantee we have been bought by Christ and are waiting for him to collect us. The fear is like a warning sign. Its a distress alarm telling you you are going the wrong way and there is a bomb in the room "Get out!" If your spirit is upsetting you because you are following the path of the flesh, then the best treatment for this is to
      1. CONFESS
      2. REPENT
      3. TRUST
Sex is a big natural drive in the human body. You have reproductive organs, they work therefore you crave and desire as they were designed to do. The more ya do the more you want to do. Sex is not bad or wrong or sinful but fornication is "BIG TIME". you see, what is natural is not an excuse or a defense in Gods eyes. God wants what is spiritual not natural. sex, Hobbies, entertainment, food all things inhibit our pure connection with God because in our broken state even that which is sanctioned is still compromised by our sinful state. in the old testament you were unclean every time you had sex with your spouse until the next evening. Paul tells us not to abstain from sex unless for a time to devote ourselves to prayer because even though its lawful it becomes a barrier. God also calls us to fast which is even denying our bodies food in order to devote ourselves. So the point Im making is you are addicted to an unlawful practice because you desire to satisfy your hunger pains. the more you do the more you want to do just like anything we practice habitually. You need to break the cycle, take a vacation from the world and reset yourself on the track of the spirit. Not because you are going to hell if you don't but because you Love God and his spirit in you is talking to you. will you answer Him or just ignore Him? Remember Salvation has nothing to do with you or your actions one way or another. Its Completely God who chooses you. Its not how many 3000 times you have masturbated or told lies, its solely based on God deciding before he created the World that Ariel would be his elect. Not by works. Everything you do that is good is God doing it anyway; its not you, there is no Good in you other than the Holy spirit that dwells within you. It is God who causes you to WILL and to ACT in accordance to his purpose which he prepared in advance for you to do. With the understanding of predestination comes the understanding of eternal security and Grace. There is nothing you can do to separate yourself from God, YOU CAN'T LOSE YOUR SALVATION IF YOU ARE SAVED. you either are or are not saved and picked by God not because you deserved it or are less more nicer than anyone else (THIS IS CALLED GRACE. UNEARNED FAVOR). "My sheep hear my voice and they follow me and I give onto them eternal life and NO MAN can pluck them from my hand" (that includes you!!!!!!) but how do I know I'm saved? well you will try to follow Christ, you will surrender your life to him, though you will struggle, stumble and fail at times, you will get up and be what he determined you to be, regardless of what you do or say you are going to play the role God wrote for you in this play anyway. all those failures were also predestined to happen. so Keep your chin up and hang on with a smile.

Come to God honestly exactly as you are. Just don’t give up and know that it is by His spirit that we can overcome and He does not expect us to do it by our own will.

      @@ThemantleofElijah (PART 2 - BIBLICAL RESPONSE CONTINUED)
      OTHER POINTS WHICH NEED ATTENTION:
You also stated: "Jesus died ONLY for the elect"
Let's examine your use of the exclusive word: "ONLY"
      - "ONLY" is NEVER used in Scripture for the reconciling death of Christ on the cross to exclude.
      - Ironically, when "ONLY" is used in Scripture, it is used to INCLUDE:
"He is the propitiation for our sins: and
NOT for ours ONLY, but also
FOR the sins of the WHOLE WORLD."
      (1 John 2:2)
Do you see how that your private interpretation leads you to state the very opposite of Divine Scripture?
In your strange religion, you would have the Apostle state in opposition to the Holy Ghost:
"He is the propitiation for our sins:
and for ours ONLY, but NOT
FOR the sins of the WHOLE WORLD."
      (Calvinist pseudo - Gospel)
But now, in so doing, you have made God your enemy and he has reproved you for He warns:
I am against the prophets, saith the LORD,
that use their tongues, and say: ' He saith. '
      (Jeremiah 23:31)
      and again:
Add thou not unto his words, lest he
reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
      (Proverbs 30:6)
And the Lord does declare you to be a liar:
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran:
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied ...
How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies?
Yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart
      (Jeremiah 23:21, 26)
Do you not know that when you come in God's name teaching contrary to His Word, you are lying in His name? (Jeremiah 23:31). Now God has elevated His Word above His Name ( Psalm 138:2) And the Lord will not hold guiltless those who use His name in vain (Deuteronomy 5:11). This crime was punishable by death under Moses (Deuteronomy 18:20) in order to drive home the truth that "all which do such things are worthy of death" (Romans 1:32).
And do you not heed the warning given to us all by James ?

My brethren, be not many TEACHERS, knowing that
WE shall receive the GREATER CONDEMNATION.
      (James 3:1)
      You also stated:
"God the Father draws those who are elect to come"
This is so very true. We affirm this also, for the elect have been given to Christ and shall come to Christ as they are drawn by God (John 6:37-45). But the doctrine of ELECTION is not the same as the doctrine of the Reconciling and Propitiatory Death of Christ.
Nor does the doctrine of Election preclude the doctrine of the Propitiatory Death of Christ.
Notice that immediately after Paul proves that "ALL ARE UNDER SIN" and that "ALL THE WORLD" is "BECOME GUILTY BEFORE GOD" (Romans 3:9, 19) Paul immediately declares:
Being JUSTIFIED freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus
      (Romans 3:24)
But many who are Made RIGHTEOUS through FAITH (Romans 3:22; 5:19) later fall away (Luke 8:13; Hebrews 3:12) and though God declared them RIGHTEOUS and said that THEY SHOULD SURELY LIVE, He nevertheless reverses their Justification and declares that they shall SURELY DIE
      (Ezekiel 33:13; Romans 8:13)
Calvinists love to quote Romans 8:14-39 as their Golden chain, but fail to include the sobering warning in
Romans 8:13 which qualifies the statements that follow:
For IF YOU live after the flesh,
      YOU SHALL DIE.
But IF you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body,
      YOU SHALL LIVE
      (Romans 8:13)
This reference in Romans 8:13 is simply an allusion to the identical warning found in
Ezekiel 33:13 which states the same thing. And indeed Romans 8:13 is a reiteration of Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation TO THEM
      which are in Christ Jesus,
WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH,
      but after the Spirit.
      (Romans 8:1)
The second part of the text is missing in most modern translations despite the fact that it is the reading providentially preserved (Psalm 12:6, 7) in the vast and overwhelming majority of extant Greek manuscripts, some ~ 99%. And is only omitted because most modern translations follow the liberalism of the higher critics.
(Hodges, Z., Farstad, A., 1982, The Greek New Testament According to the Majority Text, Nelson, USA - Text Apparatus - Romans 8:1 where the Byzantine / Majority Text has overwhelming attestation)
Moreover, We note also that John chapters 5 to 15 form part of an extended discourse in which eternal life is qualified by ongoing faith and hearing of Christs word in the true sheep (John 5:24; John 8:31; John 10:27-30) and in which those IN CHRIST who do not continue IN CHRIST'S Word, are REMOVED from Christ by the Father
      (John 15:1-6; Luke 13:5-9; Romans 11:20-22)
Thus, it was unsurprising that when
      You stated:
"Those who belong to Christ would not deny Him"
      This is simply not true:
      - Peter denied the Lord; three times! (Matthew 26:75)
      - Christ died for Paul (Galatians 2:20)
YET Paul was capable of DENYING the Lord (2 Timothy 2:12) and being DENIED before the father and the Holy Angels (Matthew 10:33)
      - We, who have believed like Paul (1 Corinthians 15:1, 2) are capable of denying the Lord (2 Timothy 2:12) and thereby to have believed the Gospel in vain (1 Corinthians 15:2)
      - Many who believe, later cast off their first faith and turn aside unto Satan (1 Timothy 5:12, 15) who profess to know Jesus but become unbelievers in their hearts again and by their works they deny Him
      (Titus 1:15, 16)
      - David denied the Lord when he sinned (Titus 1:16) so greatly and thereby caused great occasion for the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme (2 Samuel 12:14)
      - Paul warns that failure to provide for ones family is to deny the faith (1 Timothy 5:8). How much more the other sins of which we are capable (1 Timothy 1:19)

God dignifies us with free will, the power to make decisions of our own rather than having God or fate predetermine what we do. Consider what the Bible teaches.
God created humans in his image. (Genesis 1:26) Unlike animals, which act mainly on instinct, we resemble our Creator in our capacity to display such qualities as love and justice. And like our Creator, we have free will.
To a great extent, we can determine our future. The Bible encourages us to “choose life . . . by listening to [God’s] voice,” that is, by choosing to obey his commands. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20) This offer would be meaningless, even cruel, if we lacked free will. Instead of forcing us to do what he says, God warmly appeals to us: “O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river.”-Isaiah 48:18.
Our success or failure is not determined by fate. If we want to succeed at an endeavor, we must work hard. “All that your hand finds to do,” says the Bible, “do with your very power.”(Ecclesiastes 9:10) It also says: “The plans of the diligent one surely make for advantage.”-Proverbs 21:5.
Free will is a precious gift from God, for it lets us love him with our “whole heart”-because we want to.-Matthew 22:37.
    Doesn’t God control all things?
The Bible does teach that God is Almighty, that his power is not limited by anyone other than himself. (Job 37:23; Isaiah 40:26) However, he does not use his power to control everything. For example, the Bible says that God was “exercising self-control” toward ancient Babylon, an enemy of his people. (Isaiah 42:14) Similarly, for now, he chooses to tolerate those who misuse their free will to harm others. But God will not do so indefinitely.-Psalm 37:10, 11.

18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
    Ezekiel 18:23-28 (KJV)
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Humility in understanding will take you way beyond what a soapbox stand will, because we all are in the process of being saved. The Formula of Concord, 1577AD, (Lutheran Confessions) addresses the ludicrous Calvinist extremes in section 11.
It points out the obvious that the false, and certainly the unscriptural, presentation of Predestination will always lead to the same conclusion.
      Crude summary:
Either: I am infallibly saved and cannot be lost and therefore I will become careless no matter what I do .
Or: If I am not elect, no amount of hearing the Word and repentance will suffice. Therefore all is in vain. Everything leads to despair. There is no hope.
In fact, Salvation is not by our willing or running and God does show nervy to whom he will show mercy and he hardens whom he wills (Romans 9:16,18).
But we do not quote Romans 9:16, 18 while denying the clear statements of the Gospel. God will have all men saved and the Holy Spirit is working by the Word in all men (1 Timothy 2:4; John 16:7,8; Acts 7:51; Jeremiah 23:29).
The cause of damnation is not in the imaginary "decree of Reprobation" which is nowhere to be found in Scripture. But rather that man RESISTS the Holy Spirit working by the word (Acts 7:59). And given the fact that man cannot believe by his own efforts, but rather by the power of the Gospel through Faith
      (Romans 1:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13),
The fault is in man for resisting the Holy spirit.
      In other words,
      - Man is utterly incapable of converting himself .
      - God must do this
      - But man is capable of resisting the Holy Spirit
      - God hardens men in time (not from eternity past) And this hardening is both judicial, (namely a judgement placed upon man for first hardening his own heart)
But also according to the will of God whereby God indeed hardens whom he wills.
      - God is free to harden or not to harden.
And according to the election of grace, some men, whom God could equally harden according to his justice, God shows mercy to.
      - God has chosen some from eternity to salvation
-But God has not chosen anyone to damnation from eternity
      - Therefore , those not elect, work out their own wretched state and bring upon themselves their own ruin if left to themselves despite the long-suffering of God towards them . And despite the will of God that these too be saved.

That shows that there HAS to be free will, for souls to be responsible for their actions, otherwise having varying degrees of reward or punishment would be impossible. If our actions were predetermined, why have judgment? They would be Kangaroo courts and God would be unjust, which is not possible. If God made us in His image, wouldn’t He pass on free will, also? Would He make free will an illusion? Hmm.. Think on these things

Some are conflating forgiveness, atonement, absolution and consequences.
"God forgives" is the most poorly understood and the most poorly taught scripture in the bible especially by the false prophet con artists in evangelical churches.
    Isaiah 43:25 says:
“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more".
The key words are for "MY OWN SAKE" , not for "YOUR SAKE" as the sinner or abuser.
So many people think that God is forgiving the sinner for the benefit of the sinner, when in fact it is the opposite. God is forgiving the sinner for HIS (God"s) own sake so that he doesn't have to carry the burden of the world's sin, which was eventually carried by Jesus on the cross. And then God even takes it a step further by saying he will "remember them (sins) no more".
And that's why you hear Christians saying "I'm not stressed about sinning, because God will forgive me", it's because they wrongly think forgiveness is absolution, when it is not. Nowhere in the bible does it say that forgiveness is absolution.
"Absolution" is the removal of consequences and God is clearly not removing consequences for the sinner, he is simply forgiving and forgetting your sins for HIS sake, not for your sake.
This is how the sinning pastors teach "forgiveness" in the evangelical churches with their false prophet preaching in order to get themselves "off the hook" for the consequences of their sins, usually paedophilia or extra-marital affairs.
Absolution is a "formal release from guilt, obligation, or punishment (consequences)". That is NOT forgiveness. The punishment will still come.
"Atonement" is an action of making amends for wrongdoings, so atonement is of the flesh. This is what some people do in the form of a confession or promise to change.
    So, to summarise;
Forgiveness is not absolution or the removal of consequences for sin. The punishment will still come regardless of how many times you ask for forgiveness.
Forgivess is for God's sake, not yours. Just like when you forgive someone when they have wronged you. Your forgiveness of them is for your sake to help YOU move on from the abusive act.
Atonement is like self-punishment. It is an act of the flesh. It could be in the form of confession or a promise to God that you won't repeat the sin.
So forgiveness is not atonement or absolution. The consequences (punishment) will still come. Bottom line is ... don't sin.

God saves by grace and damns by due.
Let us use the number 10 to symbolize all human beings from all times.
Let us say God saves 3 out of the ten by grace and damns 7 out of ten by due, i.e. the 3 receive their undeserved salvation through the blood of Jesus, and the 7 receive their deserved punishment for their sins.
So when did God saved the 7? He started to do that before the foundation of the earth in his divine, sovereign election, when He foreknew that 10 out 10 of all human beings would be lost through their own sins. He knew beforehand what each and every human being's sins would be, although He was not the 'author' (originator or cause) of their sins. 10 out of 10 of the human race are truly guilty.
And the 3 who are saved by grace alone? God, and He alone (praise his holy Name!) is the author or originator or cause of their salvation in Christ.
The dilemma is of election and non-election is solved when we keep in mind that even if 10 out of 10 of the human race are lost and damned, God will still be perfectly righteous. What God did to us 3 does not change at all what the lost 10 (all humans) deserve.
Accordingly, the 'clay' of God, the Potter, does not denote human beings (Rom9v11), but the clay denotes God's grace. Our God may sovereignly do with his mercy and grace what He wants. He owes his grace to nobody.
Read the Canons of Dordt, chapter 1, par 1, which corresponds with the T of TULIP: Total Depravity.

What is wrong with a Doctrine, a Calvinism and the teachings of John MacArthur? In all my years, as growing as a Christian and praying and fasting, the first thing I know is that Jesus saves sinners, and they become saints now as a former atheist, when I receive Christ into my life, and the following year I was filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke another tongues No man gave me this gift the Holy Spirit gave it to me. As I study the Bible and prayed, I listen to the Holy Spirit really did I ever except the opinion or belief of any man ; that did not line up with the Holy Spirit, or the word of God. In the beginning of the new birth, all I had was a desire ; to preach the gospel to the lost, and won the sinners; to Jesus Christ, salvation, plan, repent, and be safe, And from going to hell ; with most teachers or individuals that went to any Bible college school , and did not try to reach sinners for salvation. They tried to reach sinners for their own gain. For the next 3 to 4 years all I did. Was share Jesus with the lost . As my prayer life increased, and my Bible time, and fasted days weeks ; I also did receive the gifts of the spirit . Now I have all 9 gifts 🎁 manifested in my life ; to this present day.. and the gift of tongues still is present to this day. Now, when someone says it doesn’t exist !!!!!!???? Read your Holy Bible it says in Corinthians, they are unbeliever that don’t believe; this dose not stop the Holy Spirit in giving these gifts. Man-made theology of philosophy does not give what God gives . It is not offered by man it is offered by God. This is why so many of these Bible schools and so-called preachers area in the word of God . And the worst part is that they have so much theology no power to demonstrate their resurrected Jesus . Because it’s another Jesus, John, MacArthur has another gospel he has, and another spirit .So they necessary do not believe really in repentance. Now to press the issue on the doctrine of tongues and saying it doesn’t exist makes that individual a liar and a deceiver. If any one, claiming to be a minister of the word of God, does what Jesus says not to do, which is teacher like telling a lie , or speaking a lie . they’ll have no part in the kingdom of heaven, no matter how smart, intelligent they make think they are ; to be. Now back to the basics as I grew, I ran into an occult group a false religious, group claiming to be Christians ; that were( Calvinist ) this individual did not know that I had a lot of fellowship with the Holy Spirit before I met them so they try to sneak into my spirit and into a church to disrupted with their false doctrine, the false teaching . Rest assured this is a sack and a cult group secretly trying to invade the born-again believer the true Ginuwine, Holy Spirit I did not know that John MacArthur held these false views, until now I examine and study his doctrine and find it to be a false, teaching himself, and a false teacher no wonder why in the later days and months he seem to turn into something That was seen now unbalanced and confused in his mind. That is the consequences when one continues to walk in era against the word of God they may end up like Nebuchadnezzar are all worse. The worst part is that they end up dying in the sins in spending eternity in hell for preaching and teaching a false doctrine, so whoever is tied to a holding onto the doctrine of Calvinism is definitely on their way to hell I want them all to repent today, every single one of them anyone that ever worship that man or praised him, or give him glory and his false doctrine .But the doctrine itself is in total error. It is false, they believe in predestination without genuine, salvation and repentance . 1) what do Calvinist believe they believe that you don’t need to repent because you’re saved already so either you’re going to hell because you’re predestined the hell are you going to happen because your production to heaven and you’re safe without repenting this is one of the greatest areas they have in Holton..2) they believe you have no free will well if that was the case, why did that man go up into that stage and rebuke him he had free well. Anyone with a brain in common sense knows that everyone has free but the Calvinist teach the additional free will. Yet they’re over 100 scriptures it says choose you this day if you will if you confess if you repent if you turn from your wickedness, if you turn from your false teachings, if you turn from sin, the condition of free will even Jesus said they will be done by kingdom come. How is it that Calvinist, miss the statement that Jesus made.????? I warn people all over the world. We are in the end times. This man has been living a secret light in the fall sly, and yet he still open the held to a Fast Doctrine in the false teaching.. this man was given a chance to repent, just like Charles Stanley, who, in all his years did good up to appoint, and then turned on the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to condone, backslidden sinners saying they can go to heaven to condone the idea and believe that you could be a homosexual and live a homosexual life, and believe in God, and still go to heaven this man did the same exact thing John Calvinist did same thing John MacArthur did they twist the Scriptures for their destruction oh, how terrible it is to start out the journey so good and turn to lies and falsehood. There is blood on the hands of such men when they croak and die in their sins they would have had to renounce the abyss, the system of beliefs, their theories and philosophies and school of training under a false spirit. The Bible says really work out your salvation with fear and trembling. All I can say today is people need to repent of their sins. God did not call Non theologians. God called disciples to go and win souls to God not to build schools full of faucet with fake pastors and fake bishops and fake elders and fake Cardinals and fake all around the table with degrees yet they have no power of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate the resurrected Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We’re talking about more than 7 million don’t have it, but they have an education that is full of vanity and vexation of spirit. Jesus said, go out and preach the gospel that means the cross, the crucifixion, the death, the burial resurrection, and the basic essentials of the true Christian faith, and most of the people don’t follow them that too busy, listening to lying preachers and false educated teachers from universities and colleges looking cute in their suits, but leading so straight to hell in the billions. The lukewarm church needs to wake up the‘ Apostate church needs to wake up. We are in in the end times repent and be safe you must be born again the true born-again spirit preaches the cross of Calvary, the death and resurrection and lead souls into repentance onto salvation. To God. Jesus is Lord Jesus saves.

If God wants to give the majority of humans beings what they deserve and show mercy on a few, who are we to say otherwise. When God knocked Paul down and blinded him, did he show more mercy to him than pharaoh. Was God partial to Israel ? Why didn't God personally appear to pharaoh in a burning bush. It's because He wanted to show his power in through pharaohs stubbornness. Why did God speak to Abraham and not Nimrod. How did John the Baptist have the holy spirit in him when he was in the womb? Did he make a conscious decision to follow God when he was a fetus. Whether you like it or not God favors some over others, not because of human works, but for His glory, for His story, and His great pleasure. He will never turn away someone who wants to repent of their sins and follow him. We are called to preach the gospel and let the Holy Spirit do the work of God.

Let me just say, I’m a young man 20 years young . Being serious not trying to be funny but I have legit questions.
I’ve been taught Calvinist and I do truly believe that’s what the Bible teaches ...
the natural man is a slave to sin, his nature is fallen, and he is incapable of submitting to God because he is in the flesh . He obviously needs a new birth as Jesus presents in John 3. God gives new birth and the new birth is God-centric and is something God has chosen to do in the elect before time began .
That means the fallen man cannot choose God, God has to choose man . Why does Gos choose to send so many people to hell when he could easily give them a new nature ? It seems like 99 percent of the world is going to hell . All my friends all my family . Only these people in the church, which btw is majority white that’s has grew up in the church .
Then it begs the question, is it truly a new birth ? Or have these people just been taught this their whole life ...
I know the biblical answer is the new birth but Cmon can anyone relate where I’m coming from ??? Seems like No one in the hood gets the new birth or is even taught the new birth or the gospel

Not going to lie, this is an issue that different people have come to different conclusions on. There is tension in the Bible about this and I’m under the impression that there is something more about God’s grace than what is on the surface. There are so many issues with a good God creating people to purposely force them to suffer. And it’s also against who God is saying that He is in scripture as well as in the life of Christ. It’s an area that I honestly would disagree with what is said in the video not that I have come to a full conclusion about this but that it goes against too much of scripture.

I really love Dr. MacArthur for all the good work that he has done. However his insistence that the atonement is limited to a select few is just incorrect.
Let the Scriptures speak for themselves. Please read IS 53:6. That should settle the issue once and for all.
“All we like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way. But the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us ALL.”
The mistake expressed by this doctrine of limited atonement is that it assumes that if Christ died for you, that 100% ensures your salvation. Not so. A person must repent and believe. That is what the scripture says.
    Also consider 1 Jn 2:2.
“ and He himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.” 1 Jn 2:2

Dont forget that not all who call Lord, Lord are his sheep. Some people look like them but they are not. This neverending debate never ends but most important is that Romans 9 explain it clearly that this teaching look unjust for some people. I believe if these people will hold this view, they are those who are not Lords sheep because they say it would be unjust if God is as he is described this way. For me its very interesting to see how people hate this teaching even though they have a lot of biblical knowledge. There is something I realized in debate with one believer about this teaching, first he says exatly what Romans teach that it might seem unjust this (undeserved) election, it seems unfair to non elect according to him so he doesnt accept such God as I understand so he is forming his own God who is according to his understanding what is just and second thing I realized is that when I compare his and my life, he never knew as I know how evil man is. He never commited so many evil sins as I... but this helps me to know that I dont have anything in me better than in others, no quality like understanding, wisdom, sensitivity and so on that I would be able to understand Gospel because of something in me. Its a gift, undeserved gift and those who deny that even faith is given seems to me self righteous. So I will not say to God what seems just to me and what not, he says he is merciful to whom he wants and hardens whom he wants, this is so clear. Most shocking is for me that even people who have a lot of biblical knowledge and see so many false teachings in this world dont see even this. Who am I to understand it? Only advantage I found in my experience is that I was more evil than others and I know that. So all my right biblical understanding must be from above, from God who came to save sinners in Jesus. Its 12 years ago I was baptized, few days ago I have read Luke one or two chapters and I cried maybe three times, whats going on with me, didnt I read it many times? I hear his voice, the one who speaks through Bible that is why I cry. So many wise people is around, I was bad in school I didnt like it, I didnt want to study but today I am the one who understand deep things of the Bible not wise people of this world. But even this is explained in Bible yet some people dont see that God is the one who gives wisdom and whom he gives this grace. Glory to God, I dont deserve such mercy to know Jesus and recognize false teaching of wise.
For you see your calling, brothers, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yes, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are: 29. That no flesh should glory in his presence. In other words, he opened up the door for everyone to be saved. For God so loved the world, that whosoever,! Believes in him shall be saved! Apostle Paul said it, anyone who calls out in the name of the Lord shall be saved! The election in foreknowledge, was purposed for first the the Jews and then the later with the gentiles, with the opportunity for all to be saved! Could it be that they both are true in some ways and that God is too much for our mortal minds to comprehend 🤷The net result of both ideas is the same, it's just trying to explain it two different ways. The reason why people get triggered by Calvanist is because they feel as if it makes God look bad or evil. But if everyone deserves hell can God supernaturally draw a few for His glory and give the rest up to thier own desires? Just like how He allowed pharaoh's heart to harden but called Moses. Of course He can; does that make Him mean or unjust? No, it actually perfectly displays his justice and kindness. Can God be deeply saddened when people go to hell and both be glorified by his perfect justice? Of course. Calvinism is all about the sovereignty of God. However, it really does paint a picture of a God who did NOT "... so loved the world..." (so opposite of John 3:16) If there is love in Calvinism, it's comes across as very forceful, like God is saying, "You WILL be my elect whether you like it or not!" And, we just saw, Calvinism CANNOT account for questions like the one asked in this video.
Let's do some re-definition: let's say "elect" means not all CHRISTIANS but certain leaders throughout history (including many of the church leaders who would be receiving the letters from Paul) and world-changers among all Christians (and even some before Christ - like the list in Hebrews 11). God certainly could choose from all the Christians certain leaders to help advance His plan for the world... this seems very SOVEREIGN to me, and I do not see where this definition conflicts with it's uses in scripture.
Let's try two more: let's say "those He FOREKNEW He also PREDESTINED...." Calvinism says that "foreknew" means God knew which ones He would pick before the creation of the world. But then why say He also predestined them? That's like saying God picked them... and then He picked them. However, if "foreknew" means God knew those people who would CHOOSE Him and so He built His SOVEREIGN plan to include them (or predestined), then that still sounds pretty sovereign to me. However, it also sounds more loving and more in line with the "relationship" sovereignty that He wanted throughout scripture (just look at the way God craves the Israelites to come back to Him time and time again).
You don't force someone into love; that's seen more like brainwashing mixed with coercion or being possessed by the Holy Spirit (to act against one's will). If it wasn't about choice then why weren't Adam and Eve predestined (Calvin's definition)? That quite frankly sounds then like God wasn't sovereign enough to not let Adam and Eve introduce sin and death into all of His creation. Yet, when you introduce love (or lack thereof) and free will, it makes more sense. No God let them choose to love and obey Him. So to me, the above explanation fits in line with scripture.

Calvinism is utterly wrong at the very root of it's horrible theology... the misinterpretation of Predestination: from which All of its false doctrines flow.
Those whom He foreknew, He Predestined is the order in Rom 8...the order tells you that God knows the end from the beginning. What He DID fix in place was The Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world... that was Predestined to happen and exactly at the time God chose to fulfill Daniel's prophecy and hundreds of others. So whom He foreknew (Believers who respond to the Gospel) have the Predestined Act of God laid out in the Life Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Rom 8 we are Predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ...when you believe in Jesus' accomplished work you become Redeemed...YHVH foreknew you would respond to the Gospel preached to EVERY creature and EVERY creature has the chance to respond. THAT is NOT a mystery, unless you believe in a total manmade Protestant Purgatory of Perseverance which is so much like Indulgences where you don't know when the payments are enough to spring the soul out of hell. In the same way, the Calvinist can't even honestly say to themselves or their own children that they are truly saved!!!! Were their works enough to merit salvation? Totally different Gospel...an Accursed Gospel that declares that Christ died in vain as your Righteousness is the basis!
    NKJV Galatians 2:21
I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
    NKJV 1 John 5:11-13
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
    NKJV Ephesians 1:13
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Salvation is THE GIFT of God... GRACE means unmerited favor...it's based on the Predestined Work of Jesus Christ...the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world!!!!
    NKJV Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
CALVINISM is an arrogant FALSE GOSPEL that believes in a different "god"... one who arbitrarily and literally chooses totally depraved people that can't choose salvation, yet another group EQUALLY depraved God chooses to save them!???!!!??? WHAT? It begs the question, why not simply choose ALL then? Neither group has the inclination or the power to choose (no free will) due to their inherent TOTAL depravity. Such a god is NOT the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob!!! Joshua said to choose this day whom you will serve and boldly proclaimed that as for he and his whole house...was he really able to do that? Is God's word mistaken... sorry but Calvinism is very cultic. You know very well you who are versed in its doctrines that there is a redefining of key words ... that get twisted out of shape and then it's hidden to those you seek to turn away from the faith of Jesus.. to this non-gospel. REPENT simply means to change your mind... I would invite you to repent of this view of God and to align with the plain teaching of the Word...not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL would come to repentance!!! That would include you. God so loved...

In other words, don't think. If you do, you run the risk of seeing that the house of Christianity has no foundation in verifiable truth, but is built on sand.
The Unique Selling Point of Christianity, for an evangelist, is that it takes away from the customer the difficult, sometimes uncomfortable, responsibility of having to think. Add a little fear of the danger of not buying into the product now, and increasing sales of this toxic delusion are assured.

Actually, your comment "interprets a How-to" and this is Philosophical, as the subject is an interpretation. And that requires "Thought"
There's no scripture that directs that action.
      On that subject:
The Bible, has a history (the Roman Emperor Constatine directed his chosen Priests to establish a "1 State Religion" and "Christain as it was what his Mother Practiced")
This history is worthy of Modern Christians knowing. Because its a matter of: do you want to follow the *Teachings of Jesus* or the Roman Priests "compiled books + edits" that established the *Roman Christian Religion.*
(...and a variable Version of the Verson)
There were various interpretations at the time of Constatine - mid to late 350 - 370 AD/4th Century, but the more original was not what the Western World hauled over from Europe, it was the Constatine 1 state Religion. Even the Protestant is a Verson based on the original Gets in aka Röman Catholic (I'm familiar with both and am no longer Roman Catholic but I'm a more original Catholic a type of Gnostic Catholic. That is defined as:
      Catholic = Christian
Gnostic = Knowledge (i.e. familiar with the Ancient Teachings of Jesus and those that practiced his teachings, which includes the Gospels that the Constatine Roman Priests withheld from the Bible. Those were the guys who first compiled the Bible and they even edited the Old Testament - it should be the actual Original Jewish Bible. It is not verbatim, and some important words were changed.
Jesus was a Gnostic (held Ancient Knowledge and by far more than I will likely ever be able to secure in this Modern Era) There's an entire Gospel of Jesus speaking to Thomas and it has a couple of points in John but it clarifies a bunch of information and it is very uplifting and it identifies by its details why the Priests likely edited JoGnostic and why they didn't place Thomas in - it is clear that we don't require a Priest to do our bidding, we can go direct. That's a point that the Protestants picked up on and one reason they broke away from the Roman Catholic Church, but - King James swooped in and further removed books and a total of 26 Books/Texts are missing in the King James *Version*
      KJV
There are complete editions i.e., "the American Bible is one"
History, Religion History, Most Authentic Original Texts and (I don't feel comfortable relying on mortal Priests from the 4th Century tho were "establishing a 1 Set Religion for a Roman Emperor" to place my faith in...
The subject is Spiritual, Jesus, and God, that holds my desire to know.
Not man, mortal 4th Century Priests, nor a Religion which is a culmination of more mortal men placing their opinions upon a faith to control the masses.
No Philosophy there - Just Logic and Facts.
Maybe that what your thoughts intended. If so, I agree.
But I also am one of those individuals that has no desire to judge another on their interpretation of what their Faith should be or if it doesn't match mine.
I do not have any point of justification to do anything other ythan offer the point of clarity on the subject so few are aware of, and that I did in sharing the Histories.
It's a time of vast opinions, egos, and media manipulating using those known human traits.
The greater good is when one is in Harmony with themselves and their Creator. Whether it's a Priest, Pastor, or Rabbi that helps one achieve it - they are all praying to the same Source, God.
      Happy Thoughts = Happy Life
      That is the Mustard Seed
...and it's a Quantum Physics Discovered and Defined "Universal Law, the Law of Attraction"
...and 2000 years prior to their discovery Jesus was teaching Faith based on the Laws of our Universe.
Now "He is the Teacher" I choose to follow.
I didn't intend to get so detailed, but it's worthy information.
In taking a class in New Testament History, Yale.
It is truly a great class and the Professor is so very unbiased in his clear approach and with his resources.

Everything that happens in history has been decreed/Predestined before the world was created see Eph 1:11, Proverbs 16:33 and Amos 3:6. And yes even when terrible things happen, I know it's hard for some people to accept but look what happened when David sinned against God and one of Davids punishments was that God told him that he was going to use Davids own son to shame his Father by Absalom Absalom doing something immoral to his Fathers concubines in front of all of Israel, see 2 Samuel 12:11-12 God said "Thus says the Lord, ‘Behold, I will raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight. Indeed you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and under the sun." Notice how God said "I WILL DO THIS THING."That was fulfilled in 2 Samuel 16:21-22. Jesus did not die for every single person ever and Jesus didn't die to make people savable. He died to save his elect. In John 17:9 Jesus said that he does not pray for the world. The word world is used in different contexts, in that context he's talking about the non elect. In John 3:16 world means that he purchased people from every tribe, tongue and nation Rev 5:9 and for the children of God scattered abroad John 11:52. Some have been "long beforehand marked out for condemnation" Jude 4 and "appointed to doom." 1 Peter 2:8. About Pharaoh God said “For this VERY PURPOSE I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.” So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires." Rom 9:17-18. Jesus said "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him." Matthew 11:25-27. So, 2 Pet 3:9 the "not willing that any should perish" if you read that letter in context, 2 Pet 1:1 says "To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours." As far as salvation for all men verses, Paul was refuting the false notion of his time that God was only desiring to save just the Jews and 1 Tim 2:2 says to pray "for kings and all who are in authority" because as humans WE DON'T KNOW WHO THE ELECT ARE SO WE PRAY FOR EVERYONE! That's what it means in verse 4 by saying "all men." Amos 3:2 God said "of all the nations of the earth I have only known you." For centuries God passed over the majority of humankind because this verse isn't about knowledge it's about relationship. And it isn't because God foresaw Israel was more righteous then the other nations because sometimes Israel was more sinful then the pagan nations see 2 Kings 21:9. Only those who were predestined to be saved will be see Acts 13:48, Ephesians 1:4-5, Eph 1:11, Romans 9:11-23, John 6:37. 1 Samuel 3:14 God said “Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.” That's Limited atonement.
