Great video as always Michael. I just got the Cobra Radspeed 5wood with Motore F3 shaft and the Radspeed XB Driver with Motore F3, as well and absolutely LOVE both clubs.
big tour is a wonderful club. use it on whichever 9 holes requires big fades off the tee in 13.5 or 13 deg. and use my m2 d type driver for the opposite. when hit well the big tour goes a mile. hit high launch already so not an issue. use hybrids for the rough and fairway but big tour no problem off the fairway
When Michael stated, "If I had an iffy lie on the fairway I'd jump at the regular radspeed over the tour all day long," that pretty much sealed it in terms of which model to get.
Standard Cobra wood is extremely upright and closed: resulting it high-spin low-toe strikes off of the ground. Luckily they come standard at 43.5" instead of 43 that a 3 wood is normally. Tip it half an inch and it sits perfectly flat on the ground at 14.5 degrees
I’ve got the motore f3 stiff in both of mine. Cut half an inch off the butt to get the length and lie I wanted. Shaft is perfect. Nice and light, plenty of speed but no problem with slices. They launch high and go plenty far enough. I’m off to check out the Mizuno Stz driver today because I’m so impressed with the fairway woods.
I've never really understood the idea of a 3 wood as a backup if the driver isn't working. The three wood shaft is so long these days that when combined with the small head that there's no benefit. If my driver swing isn't working then the 3 wood won't work any better. And I've noticed this same thing at work even when pros try and protect a lead by going 3 wood instead of driver but still trying to hit the 3 wood as far as possible. Sure, when they back off to 80% it tends to find the fairway more often but not dramatically more often then their driver. But when they try and go after it thinking the 3 woods shorter length and greater loft will protect them it's as likely as their driver to find the trees. Maybe it won't be as far into the trees as their driver but it's still not good. And as drivers have gotten so forgiving today most top pros have stopped even trying this approach. They hot driver no matter what while their fairway woods are quite often even higher lofted and shorter shafted affairs suited to more specific purposes than reaching par 5's in two because the biggest hitters don't need a 3 wood to do that. Not saying the 3 wood is dead but as some have mentioned below and before, if you can get some 4 and 5 woods to test that wood suit the majority of us mid and high handicappers better.
Yes just as I thought. Love Cobra rails but they always sit toe in. So you have to reduce loft and then you are hitting your 13.5 degree 3 wood as far as your Driver. Oh Cobra when will you release a square 15 degree 3 wood with rails??? 🤔
Excellent review, great that you explain that changing loft will affect face angle . Very few people mention this and can definitely change flight .
I did not know that until he said it

A winning review. Standard Rad Speed is as good as it gets as a do-it-all fairway. So easy off any lie, even hardpan.

Thanks for the review Michael!
I've gone and ordered a Radspeed for myself!
If I like it this will complete my bag for 2021

Yes! Big Tour for me!
@@zarlodious1 lol he said regular he would prefer and poster did too but you said tour... Nope
@@sharkhark I hit the big tour 270-300 love it sorry can’t do the gloss
Exactly the review I needed. Thanks!
That is a great standard shaft offering as well from Cobra. Well done on the review!
good test Mike thanks!
I haven’t seen any good reviews on cobras new hybrid. And chance of a comparison review of one of the Rad series vs the new king tec?
If only Cobra did the standard radspeed head in a matte finish 😞
Performance looks great though 👌
They do, although in a navy color instead of black
Great comparison video mike, please test the new tour edge driver, love your content, great as always
Are you going to have driver and fairway wood shootout like TXG?

Don’t put anything in the bag till you try the new Mizuno FW’s. I frickin love them. Got the 5 and 3. Never hit a fairway as easy in my life.
love mizuno woods too. What shaft do you have on yours?

I went with the Ping g425, I just didn't like the new Cobra.
i think nowdays, 3 woods are useless. too long, could you please test some 17° woods ?
These can be turned to 16
@@Bleda2002 yes, but it will seat closed. better grab at 19 turned to 17, it will look open.
I agree I don’t like the look of the offset, I always try to open it the slice the ball
Not watched yet but Cobra Fairways always sit closed 😖

Tip it half an inch, will sit perfect.
My f8 5 wood sits pretty square may toe in if I change lift ( don’t know ) I keep as low loft as it will go because I have no 3 wood in the bag
