Buy a second hand jacuzzi, glass fibre over any cracks snd the holes . Sink it into the ground and see if your filter system will work on it . That's what we did . Works so perfect to sit in and cool down
Ooh,the scene out of the spa was beautiful filmed Andy,it must be a pleasure to see this view every evening. The floor in the garage was the finishing touch.
I must smile and chuckle a bit seeing you make such good use of your drone for the introduction. Good to see what the fruit trees are doing. Some of those shade cloths are not very sun resilient and fall apart after just one year. You have to be careful of burnout syndrome, Andrew.
Great Job especially in the heat. OMG...what a beach! Hard to keep away. AND sorry about those smokey skies. YES... lots of forests are burning over here in Canada. These days having blue skies with clean air is a gift. Definitely get that spa pool fixed for a daily plunge.
Love that beautifully understated kitchen tile. I get such a kick out of you talking to yourself i e. “don’t think about it” when you were hauling that wash tub thingy. I really enjoyed this episode.
Your defying gravity with heavy objects was a tad scary to say the least ,but you got the job done ! Kitchen and garage look incredible . Well done you .
House looks amazing! So close to being done, that has to feel good. I have the same spa as that and also had an air leak in mine. Contact cement and a rubber patch fixed it right up good as new.
Great to see nothing goes to waste even your old shirt, lol. The washing sink was a great find. Can’t wait to see Cristina’s refurbished doors in place and maybe the little blue cupboard in the mezzanine bedroom ? Kitchen looks amazing, garage too.
I think the siesta thing is individual. I'm like you and can't sleep during the day (if I do, I will be groggy for the rest of the day) but my husband takes 10-20 minute "cat naps" several times a day and is refreshed by it!
The house is looking absolutely fabulous! We have been following it`s progress from the beginning and it is incredible and a credit to the three of you! thanks for sharing!👍
I must admit to had a bit of fun seeing you being strongheaded with loading the stuff out of your van alone. Like if I was seeing myself in the mirror😂😂😂 I truely admire your and James and Cristina's work ethic and insight, knowledge and creativity anddd humor!
I must say you and your brother are not afraid of work. Looking forward to you making this property your home. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.
Loving your vlogs a suggestion for the washing tub...it would make a fantastic animal. A sheep.or pig, with you painting skills would be great planted up with white or pink flowers in the top
The washing table will make a really nice feature on your property, I love it! Good idea to go plant based for your milk. The cows will thank you 😊. If you can't get used to almond milk, please try oat milk. To me it tastes more neutral. What a change in the garage! You are making great progress 💪💪
Very very nice what is already in the house. A few things still to be done, but they won't take long. I like the fact that you care for your dogs. Good soul of yours. 😊
Wow Andy, it's looking fantastic in the village house, great idea of shade cloth over frame, for shade for dogs if they want it, I must admit I was a bit worried when you was lifting those heavy slabs, I'm glad you put gloves on, shame your pool keeps going down & you didn't fix it this time, your dogs are looking well, take care & enjoy your time at the beach, it looks so inviting 💙💙💙💙💙
The place is looking fabulous I can’t wait to see the completed work. Whoever buys it will have a well renovated home as you guys have absolutely given it your very best. 👍🏼❤️
Love the old fashion laundry basin. I've been looking for something like that for a long time now. Great for washing some light summer clothes. Kitchen and garage look amazing. Looking forward to seeing what you do to the garden area 👍
The village house is looking more fabulous each week. I can't wait to see your house reno. As per NASA, the wild fire smoke, in 🇨🇦 has been wafting into Portugal and Spain and no doubt beyond. Nova Scotia has the best air quality in 🇨🇦. We have been having alot of rain which I'm sure helps. Today, July 1 the rain has been on and off torrential. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Hi Andy I love the tiles in the kitchen you and your brother and sister in law are doing a wonderful job on the house . I have just finished the tiles in the kitchen of a dear old lady that lives near me and didn’t have the money to pay a professional tiler so I did it for free best regards Andy from Felixstowe UK .
The kitchen and bathroom are looking so great. It's getting so close. Really looking forward to seeing how the yard comes out. You must be getting close to evaluating the property for sale. Have you thought about patching up the hole in the spa? They sell patch kits for inflatable kayaks. Have a great week Andy.
Hello Andy🙋♀️ I love the tiles in the Kitchen... a traditional touch. You visited one of my favourite beaches 🏖 and restaurants. I like how you film 🎞 the local landscape. 🌳🌵 Another interesting video 📹
Garage looks great! One thing to consider is whether or not that terracotta floor will be able to withstand the heat of automobile tires. I recently redid my garage and painted the floor with actual garage paint, that claim to be heat resistant. Still where the tires sit, the paint began crackling and peeling up. I wound up putting runners down where the tires are. Anyway it all looks great I'm constantly amazed at the thoroughness of all the work you do! We just returned from Portugal, didn't make it to the Algarve. Cheers!
Hi Andrew you certainly inspire and are always positive👍👍 OMG that was heavy, hope you haven't hurt yourself🤞 love the garage, what an amazing transformation and the kitchen looks fantastic. Not long now!!!
Hi. I know it's a bit late in the day, but have you considered putting a slight false arch against the joist holding up the mezzanine, to "honour" the original arch and make things look a bit more organic. Also wouldn't those Telegraph poles and the pool table slate make and amazing banquet table in your outside yard by the coach.
Beautiful work. ‼️ Can’t wait to see what you are going to do with the patio area‼️ Stock tank for a soaking tub, metal or plastic. They work great and have a drain. Lightweight/empty can move around. Should be able to buy at any feed store/maybe find a used one. 🛀👍🥰😍😘
Oy cant believe you used your shirt to wipe tiles off. Garden is the best cant wait. Allthebes from sunny Doncaster 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Everything I’ve been wearing this past yr will soon be rags, they’re all torn now. Luckily all work clothes I get are dirt cheap in sales and I have 2 of everything. 🙃
The house is looking so good! Better than I imagined. You guys are really on to the finishing touches. The backyard is going to be so fun to watch transform👍👍.
I found my way back to a second video! I will have to look at older ones to see why you did not have a wider garage door, that bit of wall is there. I did not realize our smoke from the fires, is going all the way over to Europe!!
I consider these "milks" as an expensive, unnecessary food fad. While lactose intolerance is a genuine infliction, mostly able to get around by substituting bovine with goat 🐐 or sheep milk, it is possible to make your own almond milk, and is a lot cheaper but messy and, depending on what you are cooking ( your culinary needs) , coconut milk/cream as another alternative.. DIY homesteading foods of course, is a time consuming substitute for the commercially available, off the shelf foods and takes a lot of organization and knowledge and hardly a one-man band wagon.
That combination off white/gray/and the tiles in that kitchen! That's a eye catching moment already. 😊 heard you talking about your work mentality andy!as a Dutch guy living in mallorca it took me 4 years to adapt to the local work mentality and to change my personal mentality,it frustrated me a long time but now that I am adapt I can tell you it's for the best off your body and mind.keep your health in mind andy further more keep it up you and your brother
😍 it is all looking so great. We had a floor in our old house which was called portland floor, it had a shiny terra cotta red finish. With a cat trail across. I liked it
As you know, I have drawn a lot of inspiration and motivation from your videos....And now I am building the first pointed arch window for my house. Thanks again and CU in Portugal. Kitchen looks great!
Thanks for another nice video 😊 Perhaps you can repair the leak in the pool with a bicycle tire repair kit, and you can locate the leak with soapy water.
Thank you for another lovely video. Will is just a gear head,...loves the vehicles of any form ;) :) I loved the before after video of the garage. You all have worked so hard on that property and it shows what attention to detail you have had. That shot at nite looks so beautiful with the stars, lovely. Thanks again and Portugal has chiropractors right?
Hey Andrew, great progress on the house in the village. It strikes me it would have been useful to punch a hole through the wall from just outside the kitchen into the garage and then another into the courtyard so all would be accessible without going outside the walls of the property. Really like the garage floor. Kitchen looks great. Be careful at your place, beginning to look a bit like a hoarder!!
Hey Andrew, I knew you would have a good reason. Hope you don’t take it as a critique. I embark on many such renos here in the Eastern Townships of Quebec where we have lots of Victorian beauties. Everyone has an opinion!! Bottom line, the place looks great and the amazing thing is you and your brother pretty much did everything on your own. Episode #126 eh??? I have watched them all. You have become part of my Saturday late afternoon/evening with my dogs and a beer. I keep showing glimpses of your project to my wife hoping she will say “reach out and make him an offer!” But she hasn’t bitten yet. I can’t wait to see what you will do with the courtyard, you started out with a major clean-up and some stone work. It will no doubt be a beautiful space.
Hi Andy,I have enjoyed following the journey with the village house best of luck with the sale as this seems to be near. Looking forward to the process with the country house
The garage looks amazing, the terra cotta is stunning, great choice! The house is just so meticulously done, it must be the nicest house for miles, a perfect mix of clean, modern lines and Portuguese charm! The beach was so beautiful, love to hear the waves. Thanks for the warm thoughts of us in Canada, the fires are in Quebec, one province east of where I live. The prevailing winds are from the west here but the air quality has been terrible and unfortunately the smoke is travelling far and wide affecting many people. They are in the vast forests and don’t threaten urban areas directly so that is one good thing. Have a great week!💕🇨🇦
Well the kitchen is looking lovely and the garage is perfect with the terracotta floor…looking forward to seeing the bathroom done…big job ahead in the back area but I’m sure you will have it done in no time…I hope the dogs go under the shade cloth it wld be so much more room for them to stretch out and stay cool…shame about your tub I wld be furious…❤
Thanks for the concern about the fires. I'm on the West Coast on an island and it's bad enough here for fires but my brother is in Ottawa and they can't go outside. Northern Quebec is on fire and has been for over a week.
Andrew- apparently builders scaffolding mesh is much more UV stable than normal green shade netting. It makes it much longer lasting and tougher but gives the same shading. So you may be able to get it (probably from the UK though).
Beautiful job Andy, on the garage, I could hear my sciatic nerve screaming as you lifted that huge wash basin out your car, 😂😂😂. you all doing an amazing job on that reno house, the finishes are superb🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Good job 👍💫😎🤍
The one thing you are NOT, is "LAZY"!
You're doing a great job!
Buy a second hand jacuzzi, glass fibre over any cracks snd the holes . Sink it into the ground and see if your filter system will work on it . That's what we did . Works so perfect to sit in and cool down
Nice idea, I’ll keep my eye out for one
Ooh,the scene out of the spa was beautiful filmed Andy,it must be a pleasure to see this view every evening.
The floor in the garage was the finishing touch.
You really need to start each episode with “don’t try this at home folks” Love your can do attitude🙂
I must smile and chuckle a bit seeing you make such good use of your drone for the introduction. Good to see what the fruit trees are doing. Some of those shade cloths are not very sun resilient and fall apart after just one year. You have to be careful of burnout syndrome, Andrew.
Our shade cloths are still going 3 years later,
Great Job especially in the heat. OMG...what a beach! Hard to keep away. AND sorry about those smokey skies. YES... lots of forests are burning over here in Canada. These days having blue skies with clean air is a gift. Definitely get that spa pool fixed for a daily plunge.

Thank you 👍
And thanks for your shout out to us Canadians re our fires. Appreciated that.
I used small bungee cords to tighten in place a sun mesh/tarp, in case of windy weather, so it gives a bit and doesn't rip....
Yes and put some grommets on the shade cloth also keep it tight and easy on and off.
Nice idea 👍
We are in the northern US and the smoke last week was horrible
Glad you made it to the beach. Great for the spirit when you’re working so hard.
Your defying gravity with heavy objects was a tad scary to say the least ,but you got the job done ! Kitchen and garage look incredible . Well done you .
Absolutely love it 👌
Love those tiles ❤
Crazy amount of work! Nice looking.
Almost to the end. Perseverance has definitely paid off. I hope you can sell with a great profit so you can enjoy the summer with a sense of security.
🙏
House looks amazing! So close to being done, that has to feel good. I have the same spa as that and also had an air leak in mine. Contact cement and a rubber patch fixed it right up good as new.

Just very well done …!
And thank you again for sharing your progress with us all…😊
Those tiles look fantastic..it makes the kitchen pop.
The place looking fabulous
Great to see nothing goes to waste even your old shirt, lol. The washing sink was a great find. Can’t wait to see Cristina’s refurbished doors in place and maybe the little blue cupboard in the mezzanine bedroom ? Kitchen looks amazing, garage too.
PS Really love your style. This place is shaping up beautifully. An inspiration.

Ohh I have garage envy 😅
I think the siesta thing is individual. I'm like you and can't sleep during the day (if I do, I will be groggy for the rest of the day) but my husband takes 10-20 minute "cat naps" several times a day and is refreshed by it!

I truely admire your and James and Cristina's work ethic and insight, knowledge and creativity anddd humor!
I love your ideas for the washing tub…Andy, your home will look so gorgeous when you get it done…
What a major thing for the finished look in the kitchen. Beautiful tile.
The garage and kitchen are going to sell the place. Absolutely gorgeous!
Those tiles are very beautiful ❤
I must say you and your brother are not afraid of work. Looking forward to you making this property your home. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.
Loving your vlogs a suggestion for the washing tub...it would make a fantastic animal. A sheep.or pig, with you painting skills would be great planted up with white or pink flowers in the top
It does resemble an animal from the side doesn’t it. 👍
Cool “Green house”.
Dawgs likely prefer under the van. No problem.
I’m new to the channel. Loving it.
Tanque de lavar roupa, that's what we call it in Portugal 😊
The washing table will make a really nice feature on your property, I love it! Good idea to go plant based for your milk. The cows will thank you 😊. If you can't get used to almond milk, please try oat milk. To me it tastes more neutral.
What a change in the garage! You are making great progress 💪💪
Very very nice what is already in the house. A few things still to be done, but they won't take long.
I like the fact that you care for your dogs. Good soul of yours. 😊
Wow you do such an amazing job with the tasks you do. Those tiles are absolutely beautiful. They certainly make that kitchen and the steps. ❤
Amazing what fresh paint will do!
Andrew you’re an inspiration to a lot of us. Thank you
Yes, that old laundry sink will be a great planter!!!
The garage looks great!

Try oat milk if you like a similar texture and mouth feel of milk- plus, it doesn’t taste as foul as almond milk does in coffee or tea!
Will do 👍
I like coconut milk.
WOW!! The house is looking amazing. Great job on the garage and the tiling too👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thanks. Extractor fan is correct 👍

Patching isn’t the problem, I can’t find the puncture. 👍
Soap and water in a spray bottle, just watch for where the bubbles are
Sorry about the wildfire smoke. Cheers from burning B,C, Canada.
Hello Andy🙋♀️ I love the tiles in the Kitchen... a traditional touch. You visited one of my favourite beaches 🏖 and restaurants. I like how you film 🎞 the local landscape. 🌳🌵 Another interesting video 📹

Unfortunately most are. Very sad

Don’t think the neighbour would be very happy between courtyard and garage. The garage is lower than the house. We would’ve if it was straightforward.
I noticed the same.Takes a long way to reach the court yard
