"It's a wonderful thing that we are all alive every day"
I really want to skip work sometimes.
But then I just remember my dozens of anime and games pre-orders and it makes me "Nope, I need money to pay for those."
Even for that, there's a lot of ways to make money
@@8koi245 some of those are even legal lol
I'm kind of the opposite... work has ruined anime and games for me. I have no time or energy left to enjoy them. Working for FIRE though so I can catch up on all the great games I missed due to work!
@@Taikaru That sux.
I will always find the time to at least watch anime. I would watch the on-goings when I come home after work and then marathon a few series on week ends if I feel like it. Or sometime play games (and yes, I have a HUGE backlogs)
However, I don't regret having work. I would regret it more if I can't buy an anime figure or games that I really like.

For someone who often calls herself an idiot, she has a very good head above her shoulders and is raised well by a chill family. She has a balance of her father's talents and carefree attitude, and her mother's hardworking ethic. She's given out quite a bit of these wisdom bombs despite being among the youngest of the agency. The advice obviously won't apply to everyone, but her perspective is more often than not, interesting and noteworthy.
For some reason, the ones who about you think as an idiot, are not idiots
Nice synopsis
Matsuri: I skipped most of 8th grade not going to school
Also Matsuri: So I decided to be part of student council the next year
Me: So anime isn't a lie after all

More like, God does what she wills
Talking about school, remember when she go to school wearing band aid instead of bra lol
I understand the reason her joining student council, it is really similar to how I can work hard after I set deadline to my duty.
I can relate to this.
I've stopped college for over a year now, and probably would still be until everything goes back to normal. I didn't want to finish college feeling like I accomplished nothing significant academically because of how shitty online classes are. But I have more reasons why I had to stop, and it's more than just "I don't like online classes."
Matsuri saying this is reassuring at least.
Justification always comes down to results. If you succeed in life after this, you're a flexible thinker. If you don't, you're a lazy loser. That's how we're judged
Idk what will happen but I will continue college because typical asian parents wanted a college degree but their children just simp over a 2d waifu.
I miss the non online classes as much as I miss Toyota Corolla
But you have nothing to do with it, and just continue going on, forcing yourself, because you have no other choice
I share the same sentiments
I am outside the norm here, but I also stopped going to college for a time.
Calculus kicked my ass the first time I was in college and by the time I had taken the class several times, my state's tuition assistance ran out. I dropped out for 3 years and got a job (never, ever work for the US government at any level, btw)... got promoted to full employee, technically put in charge of other employees, and entrusted with tons more responsibility. The micromanagement then shot through the roof, and all this with no raise.
At that point I quit on the spot, without a 2-weeks notice, cleaned out my desk, and blocked all the proper phone numbers. Burning a bridge never felt so good and I still don't regret it today. I went back to school the next semester and graduated a few years later. Now I'm at my dream job doing what I went to school for.
It's ok to take your time, if you have the means. If you don't have the means, you can work something out while you decide what you want to do. It took being treated like garbage after 3 years for me to finally decide that life is too damn short for this shit and I'm going to do what's best for me. Good luck on your journey
this is now one of my fav matsuri clips, there is so much to take in here. actually good life advice and wisdom she might not even realize herself
if i recall correctly, 8th grade is the "chuunibyou" grade
That's 6th grade
It's 8th grade. Chuuni means middle school 2nd year, for 13/14 year olds.
@@Alvalence it's usually referred to as 8th grade syndrome
I don't really go out of my way to watch Matsuri, but still, continuously and at the most random times, I find a new reason for her to have my respect. It must have taken incredible courage to not just start going to school again, but to do so and hold herself accountable in full view of the entire student body.
That was a good life lesson thanks to Matsuri
i was never absent, and i still didn't learn anything
My body is in the classroom but my mind is somewhere else.
I came back after being sick for a month or so and then got the highest score in the class on the test that happened the day I came back.
same.. I felt this way too..
even now that I have a job
Matsuri is actually really kind hearted and mature if you watch these clips.
I guess she's just unique and also a GOD
Thank you Matsuri, now I don't feel worthless for getting very close to failing.
"Life is just a way to pass the time until we die, so at least make that time fun"
I learnt that after like 28 years of living
She speaks the truth, I believe
She isn't GOD in Hololive for nothing
"The birth, the death, the silly part inbetween." - exurb1a
Awww I guess Matsuri was bullied or had no friends at school. I'm glad she's happy and has lots of friends now
*"Let's all live life at our own pace. Life is just a way to pass the time until we die, so let's at least make that time fun"*
Sasuga our God! She's so wise when she's _seiso_ xD
Or she just didn't felt like getting out of bed.
She knows best, because she’s god after all.
It should be case to case right? Especially if you and your fam is barely scraping by. Gotta put the pedal to the metal. In the end, it's still better to learn the lesson that "you should've taken some days easy" instead of "you should've worked hard".
The latter is the harder pill to swallow.
I agree that it's case-to-case dependent. Those struggling with poverty don't have the luxury of options. I don't agree with your conclusion though. There are many cases where people have overworked themselves and caused lasting mental and physical damage to themselves that affected their long-term productivity.
@@MysteryFaceX That I the case of Megadeath's vocalist, he's so successful yet so unhappy
She's a bit naive, but take into account that it's about Japan, where working too hard is quite a common thing
@@MysteryFaceX that's a great point. I didn't see that at all. My mom is a hard worker through and through, she's still energetic but in her case she rarely gives herself any break. I'd really like her to take it easy now because she be gettin old already.
At the end of the day, it's better to take a one day rest, or a month rest, or even a year rest if needed if it means that the next year you'd be in a much better form than you were before. Pushing yourself too hard just to get through one year without thinking about the years that come after that is as good as working overtime while having a fever, you'd get the job done for now, but you'll end up feeling burnt both physically and mentally which would instead make it worse in the longer run.
So I'd say we reserved the "you should've worked hard" to the unbearable people with severe victim mentality instead of those who actually needed some rest. Life is a marathon after all, not a sprint, therefore it should be treated as one.
"Life is just a way to pass the time until we die." ... my god that got philosophical real quick.
"Life is just a way to pass the time until we die" is a quote I want to remember forever
this is some actual wisdom right here
Spoiler: The school allowed her to leave out of fear for the safety of other students.
and the next year it become worse
Thank you for the wise words, kami-sama
Life Lessons with God...
The God has spoken!
Me: Plans to take a gap year.
(sees this)
Also me: yup I'll continue uni and maybe shift courses.
That was pretty meaningful from Matsuri, i almost never skipped at school and i got pretty burn out after finishing it and i am facing some issues right now, but i can say that i am taking it easy and its not too bad, i can still recover.
reminds me of when i always skip school just to play apex but still get good grades
The part where she joined student council so she can't run away, is sorta related to me
The "I do XXXX so I can't run away" thingy is used by me & some of my friend to push ourselves out to do things we're not motivated to do.
It sometimes works, but NOT ALL THE TIME
If did wrongly you may just get very depressed or get anxiety
I actually do similar things like how she joined student council to hold herself accountable. I tell myself if I skip work I won't have money to buy a new PC or play gatcha games. A majority of the time I end up using that money responsibly on bills but its easier to trick my brain into not missing work
The power she had when she was a student council member
I love this video, thank you for your nice work.
Anyways, this is just my opinion, the font u used is kinda too big and it took all over the screen, so I hope in the future you might improve that a bit.(maybe try watching other clippers for better arrangement?)
Sr if I make it not clear enough as I'm not a native speaker.
Good luck! I'm looking forward to your vids :]
I understand what she's saying and agree with the message that you shouldn't overwork yourself for something you get no satisfaction or happiness out of and that it's okay to take breaks, but I think it's important to recognize that there's a difference between 'taking a break from something because you can't actually gain anything from it in your current situation' and 'not doing something because you don't feel like it'. Not going to school for a while because of your personal situation or your mental health or quitting your job because you don't get any fulfillment from it is one thing, but something like not going to school just because you don't want to for example is just entitlement (Which I'm not saying is what Matsuri was doing, I'm sure there was a reason for her not going to school for an entire year).
I can relate. Between 6th and 7th grade, I stopped going to school for 2 years. Things turned out alright when I went back, but in a different district though.
And in college, I ran for president of a club because I was super shy and wanted to push myself to improve my social skills. Ended up staying as president of that club for 3 years. It really helped break me out of my shell.
best life advice... thanks Matsuri..
I just watched a math video about how short is your life if you only wait to weekends to "live"
while you hate your job
I didn't quite skip the entire year of 8th grade, but I also had a bit of a situation back then so I rarely attended school and I missed a lot of days. I used to be that kid who cared so much about his grades and rankings but I stopped caring after 8th grade, it got better after that.
"Life is just the way to pass time until we die"

People seem to forget your responsibility in live isn't to become rich or famous. It's to be happy.
You don't need to kill yourself at work. If you simplify your expenses you can live off a simple job.
You don't need to let yourself get bullied at school. If your kind and treat others with respect, even if someone doesn't like you, the people you helped will come to your rescue.
your statement is incomplete, you need to go much deeper
some people would only be happy if they have tons of money or being in the center of attention BUT those people are minority and just because they are minority it doesn't mean other should be the same as them
workaholic people have the same theory some are real some are just jump on the bandwagon
As expected from god matsuri
3:39 Truer words have never been spoken..
I've looked at Matsuri as a god for all this time until now.....
I didn't go to school for 1 year and a half back in my 9th grade days can't believe i beat her to it. =v=
Kaichou wa vtuber-sama www
as someone who on average skipped 180 hours per year out of 800 these past 3 years, i agree lmfao. As long as you pass the exams and manage, even if just barely, its fine. You dont have to be a good student in the slightest, just passing is alright too, at least where im from cuz in the workplace they wont give a fuck what kinda grades you got. All that matters is your work experience (from summer or part time jobs), connections you have with people who work for companies and wether you at least passed school. Tho ppl shouldnt skip school cuz its boring if you have friends there and if you got at least a few chill teachers or teachers who give you grades objectively. In my case teachers drove me insane and i realized I will always get worse grades than what i got on my exam or how much i tried, so i just stopped trying and my grades havent even changed lmao. I got B's on almost every exam and they gave me D's at the end of the semester and couldnt even give me a reason and telling my parents was never an option cuz the teachers would have treated me even more like shit. Its become way better since i started skipping
i skipped most of seventh grade and they let me go on to eighth grade with no real issues. i didn't even have trouble with math in eighth grade afterward. but when i went and skipped most of 10th grade i had to redo the entire year. makes sense i guess. high school is like, real sh!t compared to middle school or something. depression sure sucks man
whatever her reason was for skipping i appreciate her being so open about it
Bless Matsuri for this dose of philosophical insight.
woah she's so mature
Blessed ending
Wow, she said some really powerful things here.
Matsuri 8th grade chuni mode
I skip work to watch some hololive stream that I thought I shouldn't skip or watch the archives
I've been skipping for almost a year now. I just don't understand myself.I think im just that lazy but it's not that I don't want to go,I just can't,Sorry this is the only way can't let this out.I don't want anyone close to me to know what I feel. I'm scared
It's probably because you have no interest in what you are studying, if you have any things that you are passionate about, try to immerse yourself with it while you are still feeling like that. Who knows, one of it might bloom and you can stop going school
Seriously good advice, all joking aside
relatable since i skipped 1 year before enrolling to university for this year
is nobody gonna talk the fact that she was in the student council
God i wish i could live like that...
Me during my youth: “I don’t want to go to school today...”
Mom: *>:(* *proceeds to get a hanger
Also, so you’re telling me that Matsuri is the title holder of both God and Student Council? That’s pretty damn overpowered xD
Matsuri's story reminds me of Aobuta.
I wonder if this is why she wants an onii-chan.
So Matsuri-chan's a RomCom Protagonist?!
huh yeah, live your life at your own pace. But if you try that in Germany, at one point the police is going to pick you up to bring you to school, oof. And if you're old enough to work etc you're just getting kicked out of school I think :y
easy to say to skip work but when you come back shit ton alot of paperwork or crap but ye mostly crap
She's not wrong, but at the same time, she kinda is.
What I consider more important though is parents not going crazy on children for minor things like breaking plates and stuff.
As an adult you go "expletives expletives expletives" and then you probably just buy a new one later.
But children? They risk getting slapped across the room for it. Not speaking of personal experience, but ...it happens.
:)
