In Finland I can’t find Neste and ABC chargers from Elton app. ABC is maybe the biggest charging operator in Finland.

I just returned from a trip to Sweden and Denmark.
It was about 8 degrees Celsius and the range was about 350km. Not too bad but I was used to a range of 400+ km. Charging in those countries was fine. High speed chargers that live up to their name. I also ended up with a Tesla charger and that went well. This testdrive went well. The next test is driving long distances with a caravan.

I would love to trade in my 2022 XC40 Recharge duel motor for a single motor 2024. Added distance, increased charging speed, and less acceleration. The duel motor has too much for me. Thx for the vid. I enjoyed watching.

Why does your new 2024 model have the rims of the old models? I personally have the 2024 model, and these rims are not available on it.

Is this "new" electric motor in the rear an in-house Volvo motor? And at some point, can you test a rear-drive Volvo in snowy conditions? FWD is much better than RWD in the snow in an ICE car but does it matter much in a BEV?

The motors in the xc40 and c40 are built and designed in house by volvo

I wonder about the perfoamce where I live. Winter temperature range between the minus single/double digits daytime to the minus double digits at night. So, for example January, usually our coldest month will typically see temperatures between -10 to -18 degrees celsius. Any experience or thoughts on this anyone? Thanks for the video!

Imagine they advertise 578km. When i did a testdrive and noticed a range prediction of 350km they said data was not very well calibrated 🤔
Nice car, high consumption. Not made up my mind yet.

Hi All. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. I have a question about my new XC40. I ordered a plus version with extended range (big battery). I picked it up yesterday and to my surprise it had 90% battery with only 350km of range. I was also going through the app and checked the range optimisation app which showed a max of 400km. Im new to driving an electric car. My question: is this normal? I was expecting to see higher figures given the wltp is 569km

I’m driving my XC40 ER a few weeks now. At tempatures above 20C
      I have a range of 440km.
At a temp of 8C I have a range of 320km. So weather is a big issue!

Did you do any research in advance about electric cars or cars in general?

      Yes

I assume it's the high average speed that kills the range, but I find the consumption shockingly high. How do these electric cars fair when maxing out at 80-90 km/h? That would be my usage.

The temperatures really affected this test. I tested the same model in Portuguese summer weather and at highway speeds my average was 20kwh. At city speeds I got an average of 15kwh. Not Tesla efficiency but for a boxy vehicle it's pretty good.

Volvo's boxy cars have always been thirsty. Except with diesel. So it's not surprising. Does not help to change the drive wheel.

The car cannot accelerate according to road signs. It is a big mistake

I’m glad he doesn’t. He’s not always accurate with the signs. Driving in Germany at 160km suddenly pops 80 on the screen when there’s no sign on the side of the Road.
I’m glad het didn’t automaticly adjust the speed😂

Max speed limit on motorways in Norway is 110km/h. (And there are not many of them).
Why do you do all your test in illegal driving? I would prefer tests which show real driving range.
