When I went on Caribbean Princess, he songs played over the speakers while walking around the public areas and while waiting for the shows was primarily from the 70s. Songs i hadn't heard in 30-40 years.
@liseoppenheimer7255 maybe the cruise lines need secret shoppers to do a constant evaluation of services and quality to self audit their businesses and leave the guests to enjoy the results.
That’s interesting that you guys had a mediocre formal night dining experience as well. We found the exact same thing. We all ordered the steak and lobster, but the steak was very mediocre. Just not good for me. The steaks, my daughters had were good, and then the lobster to me just didn’t really do much for me. I didn’t think it tasted that great. Honestly, I was talking about it afterward, I would’ve rather had some extra shrimp instead of lobster. Having said that, the servers did a fantastic job on their part. That was one of the only mediocre meals we had on our Princess cruise. All of the other main dining room meals were great and the specialty meals were great.
It’s good to know we’re not alone. Sometimes the food can be hit or miss, but we do love the servers. Also, sometimes food can be so subjective. Good to know you had good experiences otherwise - we only ate there twice and didn’t get a good comparison.
Sorry your dinner was somewhat disappointing. There is always that debate whether the main dining room has declined with the cruise ships offering specialty dining. With that said, I always enjoy whole experience

We are on the Sun Princess currently and have noticed the music is more current than what we have experienced on other Princess cruises.
The problem with sea days for us is, we tend to grraze all day and then we can never go to dinner!!
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! And I’m #teamfrozen. Sorry Mrs. Canuck! ❤🍹
Thanks! We'll have to do a frozen vs non-frozen poll sometime.
Wow! Mrs Canuck . Huba huba. Simply stunning.
“Team frozen” 😆 &
Scotts favorite dessert…crème brûlée.
Both yummy!
Jill you look beautiful! Love the dresses.
Thanks, we love dressing up!
Another great day at sea! Too bad dinner was disappointing. 🥴
We had a fun day. A little surprised with the dinner quality. It has never been a issue in the past while on Princesss.
I love your dress!
Thanks!
Hi! I think the sauce with your steak and lobster was bearnaise sauce.
Makes sense.
Thanks for the vlog, we have also seen that Rock production show a few times and have always enjoyed it. Frosted flakes on your pancakes? Jerrrrryyy🥺
I know, I know! They're for the kid in me. 😉
Jill…I LOVE your Blue and White Flowery dress. May I please ask where you got it 😊
I bought it while on a Mediterranean cruise in Genoa.
@ Well it’s Beautiful! Btw…Jill your hair looks gorgeous this cruise!!
Bearnaise sauce for the steak
Good to know! Thx
I would have sent the main back and exchanged the steak
Ya, we don’t do that too often. It wasn’t inedible, but compared to the speciality dining and other cruises it wasn’t up to Princess MDR quality.
@@CruisingCanucks but they can't improve the quality unless they get feedback

What is wrong with calling it a shawl? That is what I call it
It seems to be a generational thing - as Jill calls it a wrap but her grandmother calls it a shawl.
@CruisingCanucks I guess I am old 😆
Do you need to find two words with 10 letters or two words with 5 letters each ?
Two words with a total of 10 letters. One for each day of the 10 day cruise.
@ thank you 🙏
A 6 letter and a 4 letter 😜😜
@@liseoppenheimer7255 😂thanks just got it after day 9 😀😀

Us too. There are differences in the two options. However, we’ve had some MDR meals that were better than specialty.
why cant you say shaul?
Mr.Canuck self declares that she doesn’t wear shawls - just wraps.
@CruisingCanucks i guess that's a wrap
Some people think a shawl is an old lady style. However I knit all kinds of contemporary shawls.
Probably bernaise sauce for the lobster. Seems like the more specialty dining gets upsold the more the MDR quality drops. Disappointing.
We hope that’s not the case but fear it could be.
