Intro to Arizona road trip

I am starting my road trip to Arizona. I am starting my trip from Stillacoom, Wa. I am expecting the road trip to last over a month and will end in Quartzsite, Az. The route I am expecting to take is to go down the Oregon and California coast until I get to San Diego and then I will cut over to Arizona. On the way back I will go through Los Vegas and the Death Valley after that I will either go up to Reno or take a route that goes more along interstate 5.
