When you talk to the people exhaust the talking options. Specially this early in your journey. They will tell you about themselves, other people or react to the events in the town.
Hey Shelab, since inventory space is going to be at a premium for you right now, you should really consider storing your various tools in a chest while you're out and about exploring the town and what not. You won't need a watering can outside of the farm, and you won't likely need your fishing rod, axe or pickaxe, unless you intend to do some fishing, mining or generally just trying to break up obstacles (since I bet some of the big logs closing places off is going to require a much better axe). So if you do take any tools with you, I'd recommend just the scythe and hoe, as well as maybe the bug net; especially since several of the "green flowers" that you see around town are like the "worms" in Stardew Valley; in that if you hit them with a hoe, you'll get a random item. Oh! One more thing, it looks like everytime you swing your axe or pickaxe or scythe, you use up energy, even if you "miss" the resource you were trying to get. So definitely keep that in mind, especially if you're concerned about going through your energy rather quickly. Anyway, keep up the good work. =3
I love this game!.. I love whatever you play. I hope you realize how much happiness you bring your viewers, just a little bright spot in our days, something to look forward to. I could only wish I had a daughter like you. Thanks for everything, may the universe bring you much happiness in your life! 🥰
22:38 the moment Scott said that i instantly thought to myself: ah yes.. you're going to be utterly useless and pretend to search for things while the one who controls the main character has to find literally everything
Hope you don't worry too much about the daisy thing... you are growing them ! lol Also, it is A LOT easier to befriend people in this than in Sandrock. Even just giving someone a liked gift (and quite a few scavengeables are liked) gives you decent progress, and a liked gift on a birthday can net you a full heart or two, so they're worth paying attention to even early game. Even just saying 'hi' to people daily gives you noticeable progress I've found. The chests acting as part of universal storage for crafting is nice, until you need to save items for quests later on. Thankfully you can toggle whether or not a chest is part of universal storage, so even just having one chest for saving stuff is nice. There is actually great QoL for the museum donation stuff- hovering over an item will show you a little museum icon if it is donateable, and the icon will be greyed out if you haven't, and colored if you have.
Thanks for sharing this series! I was debating buying this game or Roots of Pacha this week. I opted for RoP so I’m so excited that you’re doing this play though so I can still experience Coral Island. 😊
Thanks Shelab, for such a sweet and relaxing game. 🌼 I do remember you playing it before. But it is nice to see it again. And yes I am enjoying it. Of course you are in it. 😊 💐
So excited to watch this series! It's been so fun to play so I'm excited to see your playthrough. :) (I do think it's a wiki heavy game as a heads up! There are so many things to find and it's all time/weather/season dependent! It's crazy!)
Keep tulips and daffodils for gifts except for Charles and Yuri. Get to 2 heart so you will be able to enter them room if you're running late and you need to talk to them.
Lol the dog on TVs name is pronounced mochee it's a type of frozen Asian treat and they are delicious I highly recommend trying some especially melon or strawberry 😋😋😋
The older characters are not romanceable, sadly. Paul is married to Anne, Elanore and Sunny are married, Randy and Ling are married, Sam and Emily married, etc. Why did the devs choose hearts for the symbols for "friends" and romance...Don't know. The way you can tell is "Friends" have 10 hearts. Romance characters have 8 hearts and 2 "lock" symbols and say Single on the portrait. There are 28 romance candidates though, so there is quite a few choices. Just not the kind of choices you had hoped for with regard to older players being able to date older NPCs.
Yeah, I realised later that it was only the ones marked as singles. I really hope games start to take this into account a bit more, I know I have audience members much older than me playing these games and they would maybe enjoy a more age appropriate romance option sometimes.
Shelab, I've been following you forever, and I swear I can never get bored of your game play! Thank you for sharing your time and great work!! 💛
You are so welcome!

Don't forget, you can get all sorts of interesting stuff out of the trashcans.

That moth outfit looks so cute!
You can only date the ones that has single as a status.

Thank you for this video! 😀🌻
The green flowers can be harvested with the hoe.

@@LadyShelab I am part of that older demographic, and I agree! Would be nice to have some romance options a bit older sometimes.
What I love about this game is it lets you know if you donated and offered something. It will be highlighted in green.
I agree it's nice to have romanceable characters of all ages, etc. I like having older candidates myself. LOL
Do not give violets as presents to anyone as every one hates them.
