Why not use liquid sodium tho? It has the highest heat removal capacity out of every available coolant. Also I'm glad to know you figured out a good automation system for it bro !!
@@SavageVegeta well my world corrupted so I had to go with a new world, got a better ICF system using that sodium and using 22 Heavy Sterling Pistons now.
That's why I had that warning on the screen 3 seconds before that bright flash :( And yes checking the updates is so worth it as cool stuff is added in most updates
I followed your steps, but I don't understand why the hot liquid sodium is not pumped into the pipes to be sent to the heat exchanger, can you tell me how to pump them there?
If I were to ask would I have to download this version from another site other than forge? For some odd reason whenever I am using the forge version it doesn’t show me some of the items that should be in the newest update.

It definitely generates more power than the normal fusion reactor, plus it's modular in design so you can modify the amount of power you're gonna get out which is not the case with the fusion reactor as once made it'll have its power generation fixed

Yes in the latest release of the mod you will find the ICF Reactor, the github link I have provided in the description will lead you to all the releases of the mod. From there just download the latest one
Kinda curious what happens if you "accidentally" melt down the ICF... Likely won't be a schrabidium explosion, but still quite destructive due to stellar flux essentially being antimatter. QSERF Dark Matter Reactor, anyone?
Man this is so cool, i wish i could play this new update but i cant get in hbm's ntm cuz when i start it, the tab closes and appears and error, the only 1 i have is hbm ntm extended and it works poperly but i see that hbm's ntm has more things.
I suggest sharing the crash report on the ntm discord and they will be able to help you in resolving it. Cause I've been using NTM on 1.7.10 version without any issues

It can't be done directly, you've to run the hot sodium into a heat exchanger and have a boiler on top of the heat exchanger which will convert water into steam
@@user_x6037 hot sodium gets converted to normal sodium inside the heat exchanger and goes back into the reactor to get converted into hot sodium and the cycle repeats indefinitely
This is the original ntm mod for 1.7.10, it has the most content. NTM reloaded was made for 1.12.2 but wasn't completed so it doesn't have as much stuff. Ntm extended is also for 1.12.2 but is in development so is updated frequently and has more stuff, but not as much as the main version

I figured out the reason my game is crashing, insufficient ram. But the problem is I only have 16 gigs available and ram usage is going as much as 11 gb. So eventually the world loads for some time and then it crashes. I've dm'ed a person from their discord regarding this and am waiting for a reply

I used the NTM Coolant as the ICF coolant, seems to work pretty well. Got a 6 Heavy Sterling Piston setup producing 4.46kHE/t when near max speed.
and it goes from cold to hot quick, and when I shut it down it cools for a long period of time lol
Also using a conveyor belt system with mass storage units for fuel pellet handling.
Only thing I needed to know was how the reactor worked, once I knew how to get the ICFR going, I got a good system going lol

Does the Inertial Confinement Fusion Reactor generate more power than the normal fusion reactor, or is it the other way around?
It definitely generates more power than the normal fusion reactor, plus it's modular in design so you can modify the amount of power you're gonna get out which is not the case with the fusion reactor as once made it'll have its power generation fixed
