Authenticism!! I LOVE how and where you used that word!! It's good food, but "Mexican" food cooked to best suit American tastes. Your food reviews are always spot on and genuine!! Love you guys!!
Your videos have really been helping my anxiety. There’s been so much going on but I can escape it when watching you. Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re amazing ❤
You guys are incredibly charming. I love how Jake stopped us to let us in on the essential BATHROOM REVIEW haha. You guys are a dynamic duo no doubt appreciate you in all your colabs (and the sound affects i.e. the crickets chirping and the ooh , the HOP omg i'm dead) lol perfect!! Great going to you both !! Miss your mom too!! And pooch.
We just moved to East Nashville and we love your reviews. A lot of the restaurants we've tried since we moved here are based on your reviews. Thank you so much!
Nashville has a huge area of traditional Mexican food but no where near downtown. I’ve had some of the best tacos at traditional places there. The Mexican community is quite large.
I'm from North Carolina, it's crazy how anyone could think there's no Mexican communities / authentic food in the South! It's close to Mexico, too! This was a gringo spot and those exist, too, but you can definitely find authentic Mexico food and taco stands in the South.
@@alyssademuth4568 why though? why didn't you just stay there? what is the point of moving out of one shithole to try and turn a perfectly good state into?
HECK YES!! I would definitely come and see your restaurant! Continue to dream big, keep those dreams, thoughts 💭 flowing. Definitely a restaurant with so much amazing vibes, ect. Again always appreciate y’all, great content. Makes my soul light up!!
✨🫵🏽🍂I honestly love the fact that you guys went for your dreams to continue traveling and possibly move to a different state to pursue what you want and what makes you happy, keep the momentum going, love the videos lately. You two feel like a whole vibe..!! 🧡🍃🌤🌼🤘🏽🤭✨
The fact neither of you said cream of some young guy before the plantains was saddening and then jake came with it after & now my day is made😂❤ love you guys
I’m more than a few years older than you and can remember when we didn’t even have so much as a Taco Bell within 200 miles of our family’s hometown in Mississippi, much less an authentic Mexican restaurant. There were no Italian, Greek, or Chinese restaurants either. It was pretty much greasy spoon diners or Coleman’s barbecue, lol. Hell, we used to have to drive 45 miles to get McDonald’s, lol! We used to bring Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Greek food items from Chicago for our families that lived in the south. They loved trying “things from up North”. Now we have restaurants that sell these types of food, but honestly the food trucks in the larger surrounding cities that have come around are the only authentic food you will get.
I live in Tennessee Knoxville but the place I went to was called tequila amigos mexican grill. I had the El Molchajete it’s served up in a big steaming hot lava bowl. It taste amazing just be cautious if you go cause the bowl can be very hot. I also would love for authentic Mexican food always curious about other cultures.
I would still eat it, it looks really good. Mexican food is made differently depending on your state in mexico so I always thought that it's the same in the us so imo that's what makes it more interesting, people adding their own twist. Mexican food in California is extremely good but...well that's the only state I visit.. maybe someday I'll visit the others
One thing that keeps me in Southern California is that I can drive a few blocks and find a little taco stand on a corner and get that freshly sliced pastor with some pineapple and a horchata, I don’t think I could live without it.
You need to go to Shelbyville south of Nashville to get real Mexican food. We used to go to Aguascalientes and they have some amazing fajitas and ceviche. It's attached to a Mexican grocery store. Nolensville Road is also where you're going to find more authentic Mexican food and grocery stores and bakeries. Just not looking in the right area of town.
Brennan u seriously didnt no what plantains are 😉😉😉😉😉 im aussie 🇦🇺🇦🇺 and ik there a type of banana 🤣🤣🤣 and its not first time u have had no clue what alot of foods are cracks me up but I still ❤🖤❤💥 u both been watching for years and always will keep it up
I lived in LA for 8 years, I definitely miss the street tacos. Closest thing I have near me is an authentic taqueria called El Oasis they're fire thooo
In Nashville, the best Mexican food is all along Nolensville Pike. That whole area has become a Latino community. All authentic and mostly Spanish speaking.
Brennen, You haven't had Authentic Mole, than! My Grandma, Cooked Sonora Style Mexican Food & her Mole, was Fire❤ Actually, EVERYTHING My Beloved Grandma, made! She, been gone since, 1984. Yet, I still Taste her Food & Hear her Voice, now! Cherish your Loved ones while, they are here!!!! Blessings & Love to you ALL, Piper & Singer a.k.a My Kitty.
That Chicken taco was sad , even my chicken tacos and burritos are fire , get Vallarta diced chicken , or get chicken breast and cut it up and season it with red pepper , black pepper, onion or garlic powder, cayenne pepper you want that chicken to get color to it for the spice and you can add lemon to the meat and get your cilantro and onion (yellow onion)
Can def find amazing authentic mexican spots in the south im in ga and theres many all over you just really have to research to find the best. Especially the ones with amazing mexican chefs
Good review and confirmation of meh Mexican food in the south. I'm tired of all the food reviews on the Tube where "oh everything is fire". Just came back from Tucson - now that's where you're gonna find some great tamales.
I live in East TN. We have a spot here called El barril grill. It's probably the most authentic I found in my area. The recipes come from Michoacán México

I live in Tennessee and the only place you’re gonna get authentic Mexican food is definitely the taco trucks. They’re ran by actual Mexicans 😂
As well as some small shops that are also ran by them as well. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had.
Yup here in California stands and taco trucks get more customers than those Mexican run restaurants.
This "Americanized" garbage is garbage! lol
I was about to say I was raised in Antioch if you want authentic Mexican go to the trucks 100 percent
@@pcwizzerdwhat about Casa Fiesta in Antioch?
