This band kicks ass, this song kicks ass, i'm so glad i found them while playing guitar hero, i probably would have never known about them other wise. yeah!! lets get back to the 70's, rock on!!!!!
I can't stop smiling when the "Oh break my chains girl, show me to the land" kicks in. I don't know, but there are some notes that give me goosebumps and i have to repeat it until i'm going insane. I love these guys.
You can disect this tune in whatever way you like and compare it to other bands, but the song is an orginial. This is a real standout in an age when rock is for the most part dead.
Probably the best new band to come around in the 15 years or so. Too bad it ended all so soon. In the end I think they might actually regret their decision to break up and get back together when one of the parties start struggling to make ends meet.
Also, it's considered the most influent rock song ever by lots of people, and its guitar solo is considered the best of classic rock, even better than Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird.

No, Stairway to Heaven is amazing, and looks very like to this song. Both songs are introduced by an awesome acoustic guitar intro, for example. The only problem with Where Eagles Have Been is that it's only 5min long...
In answer to gintok666. Stairway to heaven has a beautiful, unique and memorable melody. Let's start there. And unlike "where eagles have been" s 2 heaven is original. Proof of that is that several people have mentioned that this song sounds like s 2 heaven.
Well, it's just our opinion. I know a lot from Pink Floyd to say that songs like Shine On you Crazy Diamond are better than Comfortably Numb, but CN is on their top tier IMO.
