🏆 Video Information: An armoured personnel carrier (APC) is a broad type of armoured, military vehicles designed to transport personnel and equipment in combat zones. They are sometimes referred to colloquially as "battle taxis" or "battle buses". Since World War I, APCs have become a very common piece of military equipment around the world.
According to the definition in the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, an APC is "an armoured combat vehicle which is designed and equipped to transport a combat infantry squad and which, as a rule, is armed with an integral or organic weapon of less than 20 millimetres calibre."[ Compared to infantry fighting vehicles, which are also used to carry infantry into battle, APCs have less armament and are not designed to provide direct fire support in battle.

Hollywood)))) even the weapons are not correct, the Russian 12.7 is not used on armored vehicles for 75 years, 14.5 is used, and the boomerang has a 30mm automatic gun or another version of 57mm )))
Then again all of these 8x8 have many versions covering from machines guns, 25mm gun, 30mm gun and some to 105mm all on the same chasis. This channel is just not informative enough hence not reliable.
Ну как же ,стоит на танках Т-90 , Т_80 БВМ, Т-72Б3 -Зенитная пулемётная установка размещается на крыше башни на командирской башенке и представляет собой дистанционно наводимый автономный 12,7-мм пулемёт, НСВТ «Утёс» на танках первых выпусков или 6П49 «Корд» - на поздних машинах, в современных ,на Курганце-25 в модификации БТР ,Т-90М Прорыв, Коалиция-СВ,.....Вот как раз 14,5 мм отмирает потихоньку ,делаться упор на 30 мм автопушеки ,хотя и они уже подустарели.
@@K1NC11 зенитные да используют, но не на одном БТР их нет, более того на танках они в экспортом исполнение стоят в основном и то Корды, так как 12.7x108 патронов запасы большие в мире еще.
И пулемет Утес Россия не производит, еще в СССР его прекратили выпускать.
@@user-wg5il3kz5p Мы не говорим про название пулемета ,а про калибр 12.7 мм , БМО-Т (Объект 564) - российская тяжёлая боевая машина огнемётчиков, я уже писал ,но повторюсь мало ли , на Прорыв(е) -3 стоит Корд...., Пулеметом НСВ-12,7 вооружаются и боевые корабли. В частности, существует спаренная морская турельно-башенная установка «Утес-М», есть модификация с установкой на Тигр (Корд)
После развала Советского Союза единственный завод, производящий их, стал принадлежать Казахстану. На смену «Утёсу» пришёл «Корд» - продукт дальнейшей доработки чертежей.

You missed to mention which vehicle has amphibious capability and level of front armour protection for each vehicle, more precisely which has 30mm APFSDS protection as you mentioned for Patria AMV( better protected vehicles have protection from 14.5mm AP rounds on the sides and back). Like the content, keep it up!

Theres many missing, the Canadian lav, dragon, Guarani, and btr 80.
BTR-82A has supplanted BTR-80.
Canadian LAV for same reason Stryker didn't make it.
Wahash 8x8 and Ethan 8x8 is the main missing competitors that would top out this comparison.

A variant of Piranha V, enhanced with an Elbit turret is also in use of Romanian Land Forces. Anytime at the same level with Boxer or Patria APC! Due an offset contract, part of the production process is made in Romania.
You gotta love the electronics wizards in Israel (Elbit) they make some awesome equipment.
Glad to see that the Patria AMV gets some recognition! Usually the Finnish vehicles are left out most likely just because they aren't as well known. People here saying that the Boxer should be #1, you should actually look into the modularity and other statistics about the Patria AMV.

This is beyond ludicrous. Where are Canadian wheeled APCs, US Marine LAV and US Army Stryker vehicles.
Maybe they weren't good enough for this list. And the Stryker is a swiss vehicle, the Mowag Piranha 8×8.
@@maxiona714 Stryker is not a Swiss vehicle. It's much larger than Pirhana (which uses an American transmission and gas engine) and has a Cat diesel engine engine and different transmission. It's derived not from Pirhana, but from Canadian LAV-III, which is indeed distantly descended from Pirhana. The APC version of Stryker weighs 16,500 kg, vs. 9300 kg for comparable version of Pirhana.
Might as well claim that M60 GPMG is a Lewis gun, since German FG42 copied the Lewis' operating system, and M60 copied FG42's.
Stryker drivers think it should be taken to a museum. It is now far behind these . Smaller wheels , under pover and so on...

How can a Patria with less weight (less armor), less range and poorer armament, such as Boxer or Boomerang or Piranha, come in first place. Are you paid by the Finnish government?
it is amphibious, and more modular, you can have all the vehicules for a division, include light tank on wheel.

According to the UK military their boxers will be armed with a CT40 40mm cannon as the primary weapon and a 7.62mm as secondary.

You forgot the Canadian LAV, they are the best, reason why Saudi are buying them. See them performed in Afghanistan.
Thats actually the General Dynamics Pirhana 3 or 4 which in-turn was greatly upgraded to create the Canadian LAV AND the USMC LAV-25... then From there we have the US ARMY STRYKER Brigades/Pirahna IV or V now up-gunned with the 30mm Dragoons turret packege which in my opinion destroys anything else listed...

Hey wait a second here, where the hell is Canada's LAV III why is this not on the list. This is Dumb not putting the LAV III vehicle on the list. The LAV III vehicle has seen combat more than most of the others APC on the list. This list is a bogus list when it comes to APC's. Grade F- for bullshit.
Canadian LAV for same reason Stryker didn't make it.

NO.1 should definitely be the T-15 Armata, which is not on the list somehow.
T 15 is a ifv not an apc
T-15 Armata is an IFV not an APC. Its main purpose is similar to the M2 Bradley or Marder-2.

Not exactly. In military they are called LAV's (or BTR in Russian) to differentiate them from IFV's (or BMP in Russian).

I disagree with the Boomerang at #4. It hasn’t come out yet, so many specs are unknown and/or subject to change.
How do we know it’ll even pass it’s trials to be officially adopted by the Russian armed forces? As an example many people proclaimed the Puma as the next best APC, but it’s having difficulty passing its trials.

It is truncated between IFV and APC. Look at this channel for IFV posts, there are some IFV in this APC feed. And there is no information on how many personnel it can carry because this post is about armored personnel carriers, if you do not talk about how many personnel they can carry then it is nothing.

The Ratel of South Africa 🇿🇦 should have been no.1 but anyway we are upgrading the Patria to our standards in the meantime.
I think the Wahash 8x8 would give the Ratel a run for its money, also developed by South African’s, Ratel’s crew carrying capability would let it down in this comparison.
