- What should you watch this summer season? This week, we run through some of the major movie releases hitting theaters, and discuss which have us intrigued, which we remain cautiously optimistic about, and which we are the most excited about. It’s looking to be an impressive year! Both M. Night Shyamalan and daughter Ishana Shyamalan have films headed to theaters, Fede Álvarez appears to be returning a beloved franchise to its roots with “Alien: Romulus,” and “Twisters”…enough said.

Watched Monkey Man and Godzilla and Kong. Both movies were fine entertainment, but I really wanna see the Civil War next week. It's really intriguing to see what Alex Garland cooked.
I just came back from watching Civil War. It's 'shockingly' good! Haven't felt like this after watching a movie since Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Do not look Sean.....or do.
See below the count and a Reel Blend Trivia question 😉
The count is:
Jake - 141
Kevin - 152
Trivia question:
Can anyone guess how many times Gabe was the first introduced? (FYI: there were time(s) that nobody was introduced)
I am replying, simply to tell you that I am not clicking Read More. Keep it up!
The teaser for Longlegs has me interested.
I can't wait to hear you guys talk about "Despicable Me 4"!!! 😁
three weeks of Gabe wow
Great episode boys ! I hope kevin comes back soon !
We've been spoiled last month with weekly bonus content drops on Wednesdays, and the absence of one this week almost made me feel like I was going through withdrawals! 😊😊😊 Weekly Bonus content please! :)
Jake didn't know 'Colt Seavers' 😂😂😂😂😂
Made my day 😘
Guys, the shows used to be 90 minutes long, we used to have a blend game, there used to be side tracks… what happened? Also, I miss premium- I thought $5 was so worth it
I feel they like were just gaining consistent traction too, and now all the sudden they were going down hill.
Jake- looking forward to your interview with Ryan and Emily for The Fall Guy :)
Banderas was head and shoulders above the competition that year for me personally, no one else moved me like he did. A legendary year, though.
Sean was talking about no big movie coming out on July 4th. Check out the trailer for the movie called Kill that is coming out on that date. Looks bad ass.
As always thank you very much guys! To be fair I am quite excited for Furiosa, I think and hope it could go in the steps of Fury Road and be just really good and entertaining action movie. And I can't wait to watch Civil War and Monkey Man in theatre next week.
Also July 26 as counter-programming to Deadpool, Dìdi, Sean Wang’s debut, which won Sundance. Current favorite of the year.
Please for the love of everything that's to be loved just do the Nolan Tier List already... 😢
To add to the Burt Reynolds thing, they went for the more likeable/overdue-ish winner: Robin Williams for Good Will Hunting
I wonder if Banderas was third behind Phoenix and Leo that year considering he won at Cannes and was a surprise pick that translated to the Oscar
Abigail is coming out on the 19th so I hope you guys get back Radio Silence for an episode!
I'm surprised you didn't mention Linklater's Hit Man starring Glen Powell which is hitting June 7. I hope they do press and theatrical for that
Also busted out laughing at that ending lol
I wasn’t aware that Fall Guy was based on a tv show. I have my ticket for the release on April 29th :)
My most anticipated summer movie is Longlegs. It gives my big silence of the lambs vibes. I feel like we are in a really good time for horror movies right now. I'm super pumped for Alien: Romulus and MaXXXine too!!!
Jake your black dog (sorry I only know Danaerys’ name) around the 30 minute is pure entertainment
Deadpool 3!!!
“No gimmicks. Just a dialogue”
Saw Monkey Man last night, as an Indian I can confirm that it is absolutely fantastic. As for summer movies, I can't wait to hear the boys' thoughts on Twisters and of course DP3.
old man yells at cloud
Enjoyed the summer movie preview. Unfortunately I have to say that there are just not many movies I'm that excited about. Hopefully I'll find some good gems to connect with. I'm looking forward to Despicable Me 4! Beverly Hills Cop 4 (ok.. not really. Would be nice if it was more Bev Cop 1 and not Bev Cop 3). Me and the family really did like Inside Out and Up. Looking forward to Inside Out 2 as well. Thanks gang.
I think the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy was by far the best trilogy of the 2010s, so this new one is my 2nd most anticipated movie of the year after Dune 2. After how much great stuff came out last year 2024 feels a lot slower, the new Apes movie and Civil War are both high on the list of things I'm looking forward to
Hot take, Stephen McKinley Henderson will win Best Supporting Actor for "Civil War".
