I like the idea but come on guys.....73K $ for a bloody e-motor???? E-motors are way more simple than IC-engines...thats what makes them so great and you ask for twice as much as for a gas-outboard?????
The weight of the motor should be able to be reduced as well. You can hold a tesla motor in your hand but this thing is a beast. I don't understand why it's so big and heavy besides the fact that people's aren't trying to innovate, they are just trying to electrify a gas platform. It's like the difference between legacy automotive companies like GM with their Hummer and Tesla. One is silly expensive and weighed down by an absurd amount of batteries and has no cutting edge efficiencies, and then there's tesla redesigning how cars are made and used. This is just a GM

What a waste of time and money . Design something useful. 20 miles at 25mph then 8hrs to charge useless
