Shiprock is part of Earth, the roads there are lined with trash and beer bottles, littered by the Navajo. Respect is earned. Shiprock was "gifted" to the Navajo by their conquerors. Their conquerors could have kept it for themselves and set the boundaries of the Navajo Nation further west.
That is not a "volcano". And if you notice that long wall like structure was not made by " volcanic" means its the remains of a giant tree root system and the "Ship Rock" tower it self is the giant tree that produced it. Its the remains of a fallen giant tree. Knowledge is King, however, knowledge is the commodity of the Rich and to hold it is power. So do you think that they would tell you what "Ship Rock" really is ? Nope.
Shiprock is part of The Navajo Nation, and Should be Respected as such.
