Thank you for transporting good across America for 25 years. I love prime to me they are the greatest company I started here and I’m back and I can’t be more happier.
Voiceover seems the safe way to go for sure. Safety first for sure yes I have much respect for trucks and their drivers. You peeps help move our goods through the country. Enjoying the video's! 🚚
@@Jeanniehud yes we all moving something across for sure even though some people don’t get why us truck are on the road or how all their groceries and cars building supplies furniture food etc got there 🤦🏼♂️ safety is always number one ☝️
I was there at Prime twice, First i was Refrigeration division then i did Flatbed. I never made any money working as a Contractor. I bailed and never looked back. That was in 2004 and again in 2005. I'm better off being away from that company. I'm with a smaller Company now and very happy, I Hope you make it at Rob Lowe's Contractor Company
It’s a bit slow now then before with the economy and rates but not doing too bad making $3100 this week after all expenses and fuel 🤷♂️ but I know smaller companies is the way to go because there they will know you personally rather than being easily replaced or known as a truck number
Damn,I’d run a black light over that room. Betcha DNA for days. Looks like it was a no tell motel. I’m retired 37 years in a big truck. Never drove for mega companies. Always found smaller companies. Better equip, wages Etc. Your paying for that hotel and food nothing is free. Good luck, praying for you. Complementary yeah that words big in the trucking industry.
Yeah, I went to Prime in 2017 and had to leave during my left seat/right seat before I tested out because my dad was having open heart surgery. They dismissed me while I was home, making sure he would be able to remember to take his meds and sent me a bill for 12,000 in "tuition" fees. They taught me nothing as I was a seasoned driver from the Army. Had thousands of hours in the seat, many of which in a combat zone. I was helping teach students how to float gears for after they test out. I think if I had been able to stay they would have been alright to drive for but, the dispatcher I was assigned was already lying to me about me being able to get home very often because "they don't have many loads coming through south Alabama on I10." Probably dodged a bullet. I drive dump trucks local now. Home every night.
Yep, all it takes in one viral video to gain that following. Much success to you. I watch a couple of other Prime drivers, and Rex had mentioned their new rules on filming, which does make sense.
Might not have been a driving video, but was very informative and interesting for us non-drivers (which I'm sure most of your subscribers aren't, either). That's an amazing place, looks like a college campus, very impressive....they provide the student with amenity needed.
Thank you so much yes they go all out for us existing drivers and new students to give them the best training and experience. I’m Glad it was informative thank you 🙏

Congratulations on the new/old job. I look forward to seeing the new truck. And new videos. Voice over is a good idea. I also like listening to the sounds of the truck instead of music. But it's your channel. Good luck.
I can think of two off the top of my head. 1. Cheap to free cdl training and 2. People stay with companies for various reasons. Maybe the sometime works out for them. Maybe they like the company culture or perks the company offers. There are many many reasons people drive for the companies they drive for. Personally I drive for the company I do because I get home whenever I need to without fuss and they pay me really REALLY well. Also being in a 389 Pete helps.
Hey there! Enjoy your trip and stay safe on the road. We're really interested in your road content. If you want to test some sponsored lighting stuff for a truck?
What kind of lighting? Thank you for the kind feed back I appreciate it. I’m grateful you enjoy my videos it means so much 😃 I’ll try and make my videos informative and educational. Thanks again
@@RunningOTR Like Something like work light, search light and warning light. And you're welcome! It's great that you consider the educational aspect. ❤❤Shall we go further with more details via email if you're interested in these stuff?
Yes you have to do the upgrade process I don’t remember exactly how it went but I know you get to do some classes and get on truck list depending if you’re going company or lease
I’m lease and I know I been to the SLC terminal recently one of my videos trucking west to Utah I’m there at the salt lake terminal. But they have lease available in every terminal.
How is talking while a video is recording any different than talking to a person sitting in the cab with you? If someone is there with you, you are supposed to sit in silence?
Exactly man I agree with you 💯 percent it’s funny they let you drive and think and talk on a headset using your phone but can’t record and talk while driving 🤔 🤷♂️
Not really you can buy them if you want from pedigree or order one brand new with 14k down and every year you lease they subtract 1k from down payment for example if you lease for 2 years you only need to pay 12k down payment to buy a truck
@@RunningOTR Do they send people home if they are not satisfied? I'm headed there in on the 5th of Feb, they told me my application was good and my MVR record was fine.
@@RunningOTR Ok because my work history is a bit shaky but they scheduled the orientation though. Just don't want to make the trip out there and get sent home ya know...
this feels like an advertisement. If so fine, but please tell us in order to be transparent. "this room is free and provided by the owner of Prime" just seems unnecessary and to say it multiple times. seems like a commercial.
i will going to driver school here in Memphis..call roadmaster so do you have any advices should go direct prime? am not sure what should be better?..I like to learns how to drive truck from you vdo so nice and more details to learns and ur family is nice also..

Does Prime only have US terminals? Do they have ones in Canada?
Only in USA one in Springfield Missouri one in Salt Lake City Utah one in Pittston PA and a bunch of drop yard around the US
Be careful for music for copyright laws
Yes I know
Do you have to be hired as company driver first? Or can you come in and be hired as lease right off the bat?
After you finish everything it’s your choice and call go lease or company from day one.
Don't lease. You do not want to be a slave to that truck or the company you depend on for miles.
Is the referral code still the same and usable to this day?
Yes sir still active 😀
How thorough are they when it comes to everything
You’re asking over all the whole training and experience?
If so they are very good at training you to be the best of the best and safest driver out there. They choose only the right candidates
Dose Prime try to sale the new drivers a truck?
Not really you can buy them if you want from pedigree or order one brand new with 14k down and every year you lease they subtract 1k from down payment for example if you lease for 2 years you only need to pay 12k down payment to buy a truck
Are they still making yall do 50k miles with a trainer?
Yes sir before it use to be 30k when I did my training now it’s 50k miles with trainer after you get your cdl
So they run a background, work history before you get there and when you arrive as well??
Yes the check all that before they invite you to orientation if you have something questionable they will ask in the orientation office.
