  • Hello guys welcome to another video just a quick tour of the campus inn training center at prime Inc in Springfield Missouri. Little details and information on what to expect in the class when you get here. I was a rehire so it was a little different for me vs a brand new student with a permit.     Damn,I’d run a black light over that room. Betcha DNA for days. Looks like it was a no tell motel. I’m retired 37 years in a big truck. Never drove for mega companies. Always found smaller companies. Better equip,wages Etc. Your paying for that hotel and food nothing is free. Good luck,praying for you. Complementary yeah that words big in the trucking industry.

    I was a long haul driver for over 25 years. Private carriers are the best jobs. Walmart. Tyson Foods some of the best jobs.

    Might not have been a driving video, but was very informative and interesting for us non-drivers (which I'm sure most of your subscribers aren't, either). That's an amazing place, looks like a college campus, very impressive....they provide the student with amenity needed.

      I can think of two off the top of my head. 1. Cheap to free cdl training and 2. People stay with companies for various reasons. Maybe the sometime works out for them. Maybe they like the company culture or perks the company offers. There are many many reasons people drive for the companies they drive for. Personally I drive for the company I do because I get home whenever I need to without fuss and they pay me really REALLY well. Also being in a 389 Pete helps.

      Yes you have to do the upgrade process I don’t remember exactly how it went but I know you get to do some classes and get on truck list depending if you’re going company or lease

    Does Prime only have US terminals? Do they have ones in Canada?

      Only in USA one in Springfield Missouri one in Salt Lake City Utah one in Pittston PA and a bunch of drop yard around the US

    Do you have to be hired as company driver first? Or can you come in and be hired as lease right off the bat?

      After you finish everything it’s your choice and call go lease or company from day one.

      Don't lease. You do not want to be a slave to that truck or the company you depend on for miles.

    How is talking while a video is recording any different than talking to a person sitting in the cab with you? If someone is there with you, you are supposed to sit in silence?

      Exactly man I agree with you 💯 percent it’s funny they let you drive and think and talk on a headset using your phone but can’t record and talk while driving 🤔 🤷‍♂️

      Not really you can buy them if you want from pedigree or order one brand new with 14k down and every year you lease they subtract 1k from down payment for example if you lease for 2 years you only need to pay 12k down payment to buy a truck

      Yes sir before it use to be 30k when I did my training now it’s 50k miles with trainer after you get your cdl

    So they run a background,work history before you get there and when you arrive as well??

      Yes the check all that before they invite you to orientation if you have something questionable they will ask in the orientation office.

      @@RunningOTR Do they send people home if they are not satisfied? I'm headed there in on the 5th of Feb, they told me my application was good and my MVR record was fine.

    this feels like an advertisement. If so fine, but please tell us in order to be transparent. "this room is free and provided by the owner of Prime" just seems unnecessary and to say it multiple times. seems like a commercial.

    If I lease a truck I don’t pay for damages to there truck they own it they pay for repairs

      No there is a deductible 500 dollars for either cargo damage truck damage or trailer damage yes you also have to pay for fuel ⛽️
