Is there any way that I could trade my components in for the new ones?
Because just upgrading them basically means you're buying a whole new machine. And you'd still have the older parts, but nothing to do with them.

Nice video 👍 But wondering: what number for the noise do you get with the doors shut?

"to the latest in technology" to be honest, it is a shame, they didn't initially release the Snapmaker with silent stepper drivers and load controlled fans already. These steppers are available for years already, this was 100% just marketing to be able to generate another income again from people who already bought.

I have a really hard time dealing with this printer. Got the original model, and I have not ever not have a problem with it. I just can't get myself to basically buy a whole new printer piece by piece just because it's a piece of 1500$ trash

Nice Snapmaker. I have the same A350, and yes the power supply is loud. That annoys me more than the rails. In fact I have a Lulzbot TAZ 5 and the power supply is quiet with a variable power supply fan and no light. I might order the new power supply. Question. I also LOVE the PEI print beds as my Lulzbot has a PEI and it's GREAT. I could not find a PEI that is exactly the size of the Snapmaker. I got really close in that I found one with the identical size width but length is a little short. So I am loosing about 1.5 inches of bed lengthwise. I got a print bed from TRONXY. The PEI bed also has a sandy type feel which makes for great adhesion and a nice touch to the bottom of the prints. It's also magnetic. So, curious. Seems like the print bed you got matches the size of your A350 bed. Where did you get it. I'm not really missing the 1.5 inches but when I do a bed leveling I do have to shift the bed during the leveling so it catches the bed. That's a pain but I don't have to level all that often. But, still curious on where you got the PEI bed. Nice video.

@@danielfaist-holzmann3690 I stopped worrying about an exact size. I got this one from AmazonL TRONXY PEI Magnetic Flexible Heated Bed 330x330mm Flexible Magnetic PEI Sheet. It very very close to the full size. If I want every single mm I would just put on the snapmaker bed sheet. But, since I prefer PEI I am using this one. And $45 was not a horrible price. I'm having great success with it.

Are you upgrading your Snapmaker to a 2.0 version, or are you upgrading components on an existing 2.0 in this video?

    • @robyusko4369

The upgrade components in this video at components to upgrade an orig SM2.0 A350 to the SM2.0 A350T (AT model).

If I buy a Snapmaker 2.0 new does it come with the 'Upgraded Parts' or do I then also have to buy each part individually? How could I tell? I'm trying to carefully review their website but it's not entirely clear to me.

    • @ebpman

You can get the new version that comes with the updated rails, laser and power. For me it didn't make sense to buy a new unit.

@@ebpman , how can you determine if you have the new/upgrade components versus the older components?

  • @raydiaz8813

In my opinion, your reasons for upgrading do NOT justify replacement or encourage me as a owner to upgrade as you did.

    • @ebpman
      @ebpman  Год назад

Comes down to your usage. I have my snap maker in my basement. I want it quite as possible. So the ew rails make things quiet. The power supply too makes it even more quiet. The print head, laser module all depend on you usage. It's cut my print engrave time significantly. Now most important of all my wife doesn't complain about how loud it is.

I think it should be mentioned that the position of the folding doors and the display holder can not be changed. Which is both stupid and frustrating.
There is one folding door at the front and a second one at the right side of the printer. In case you would want or need the larger folding door on the _left_ side, well, tough luck. When asked, Snapmaker is telling you that well, apparently the idea that someone would need the folding door and/or the display on the left side never even crossed their minds.
