Just passing through but so happy to see you offering tutorials again and you are hopefully well in yourself……I truly appreciate all you have shared to myself and you are a huge inspiration for so many!
I just started playing last month. This is a bit ahead of my game but saved for later. Right now mastering Cripple Creek and Banjo in the Hollow. Thanks for all you do!
G'day Jim Thanks for the video. I have been watching a lot of your video's and like your approach to teaching. I am a long time learner and found your approach the best for me so far. John
I like your style mate. Yeah, I recently took up the banjo. But I have played guitar for 30 years... Before I got my banjo, I tuned my guitar to open g, the Keith Richards tuning, and learnt it well. I found it easy, because the D,G,and B strings are the same as a guitar. So I already knew my inversions and all my theory... The cool thing about this is the high g string up top, and the high d string on the bottom, some cool things start to happen when you extend the inversions ect.... My picking is coming along. Thanks Jim, you help me a lot.....Your Australian friend Kain.
Thanks Jim!! I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us. I've learned 3 songs from your tutorials, but haven't progressed much for about a year. I love playing banjo it's so fun. Sometimes I feel like the tops of my fingers are just too round to get clean tone
I switched to learning chords for awhile after I hit a plateau. I've been enjoying strumming and singing. I figure all practice is good practice for when I put my picks back on. As long as I stay engaged, I'm happy.
May I make a polite suggestion, when it comes to your hashtags, put them in the description box right at the bottom after writing everything else, rather than in the title and it shows up above the title when oh upload video's.
@@JimPankey if you look at my last video, the hashtags appear above my video title you can put more than 3 hashtags in the bottom of the description with the main ones at first. trust me it works effectively.

Thank you so much, but I've never stopped posting videos since I began.

Very Nice!
Thanks!
any thoughts on Harley Benton BJ-55Pro. I'm 59 old disabled vet looking to get a bit better banjo than my old one.
Wish I could help, but i don’t have any experience with those.
Sweet, saved it as I have many.
Enjoy!
Hey Jim: Just wondering if you could play the banjo part of the song "Squeeze me" by the Who?
I'm not sure what they're doing on that, but it's not roll based... not Scruggs or Reno style.. I'm sure it's Pete on the banjo.
..I will try and learn this guy.
You can do it 😊

Hashtags are in the title because it works. I also have meta tags, but you don’t see those.
@@JimPankey sure, but by doing it the way I suggested, it is far more effective and gains more views.

I’ll give it a whirl
Old dog… old tricks. lol
