When it comes to forgiveness and loving those we disagree with- I feel like the chief of all sinners. I’m sorry I came across so brash and angry. There is a gentleness to criticism that has its goal in restoration of the person, not the destruction of them..something I failed doing in this forum, clearly. I guess I’m sensing as of late the importance of truly loving others in our discussion with them as it reveals where our peace truly comes from and what we treasure in our heart the most; Jesus and His glory or our own intellectual responses that feed our own dull glory, which is very deceptive to fall into in an age where we can shout our opinions to another in a digital world, not in real life. I applaud you Kathleen for getting to a point where all you want is To be found in Christ, not having a righteousness of your own that comes through adherence to laws or opinions, but solely in who Jesus is and what He has done for both you and I . His sheep hear His voice and I will be sincerely praying for you to keep hearing your savior calling you to be completely satisfied in Him, so that both your and mines response to each other is in Love and compassion for each other because we have nothing to earn or prove anymore to man- as our worth and standing isn’t reflected in them, but in Jesus and who He is. I also will pray for those hurts to be healed in your life that were caused by certain men who didn’t display Christ to you and distorted His words to glorify themselves instead of Jesus. Again, I know you’ll find your healing in Christ- because he who started a good work in your heart will be faithful to complete it. Take care.
