- Water it one of the highest survival priorities for human survival assurance. Water alone though is not what our bodies need. That water must be safe drinking water. If it is not then you risk becoming sick and debilitated. There are no shortcuts with water.
When all of the available water you have access to is contaminated or is salt water you need to distill it to ensure health integrity for yourself and your family or group.
This 44 Gallon drum system was used all over Australia in the era of our grandparents and great grandparents but its use and the understanding of it has largely died out.
In this video we dust off the cobwebs and reinvigorate their incredible ingenuity and adaptive thinking.
Using this principle, you can connect multiple showers via a multi-outlet drum. The important thing to effect a satisfactory flow rate is driving enough pressure, which can be achieved with a water hammer. Love your videos!

this will be a ridiculous question...you mention the water going in can be salt or contaminated. What about urine? Is there a system that can make urine more palatable so you could survive for an indefinite period?
No such thing as a ridiculous question mate :) if there is a question it means more information is being sought in order to eliminate doubt.
This system (inclusive of any known that uses this principle) and the other one I have filmed on this channel for distillation both will process urine just fine.
Urine is simply water that is saturated with waste elements. Once it is moved from one state, transported to a new location and changed back to a liquid state again the original contaminants are left behind as they possess varying volatility levels than the water itself. Summary: liquid is heated = gaseous state that is moved and captured in the bag subsequently cooled = distilled drinking water.
