Hands down one of the best hotel/casino to stay at. My cousin Beth (your Aunt) is probably very sad to see this place close down. She worked there for a very long time and actually retired from there. I remember when we stayed there one time and thought this was the best hotel I ever stayed at. Too bad it has to go, like the saying goes " If it works don't fix it". Farewell my "Mirage".

I love the Mirage. When I found out that it was closing in July, I immediately moved up my summer trip to Vegas by a month so that I can stay/visit there one last time. Really going to miss seeing the volcano show along with the indoor garden. Great job Jaycation highlighting this awesome property.

Thanks J. my first stay at the Mirage was in 1995 when i turned 21. It's like home to me. going to miss it very much. thank you for showing the whole property. The Poker room which they don't have any more use to be the place to play back in the 90's.
Its so sad, my first stay in Vegas was here. But we all have to go with the modernisation of this time.

Mirage will be dearly missed, we're coming out there june 5th-10th and cant wait to order our pina coladas while playing slots. For some reason we just love those their so we specifically made it apart of our itinerary.
Rhumbar patio was my go to spot when I visited Vegas!

When I was there a month ago, I had a feeling something was going on because when I walked into the Mirage I took my deep breath like I normally did to get that awesome Mirage sent that WAS my favorite in Vegas and I got nothing. It made me sad.
Thanks for sharing. I stayed there for my last two business trips.

I've never stayed at The Mirage, I get that many people will miss it but I didn't go to Vegas until the mid 2000s and by then, the more modern hotels like Wynn/Encore and City Center hotels opened and I prefer staying at those places. I will miss the Rhumbar though, that was a fun place. You can sit out at their outdoors area and smoke hookah.
My brother, daughter and I stayed 2 nights at the Mirage a few years , we loved it. Wiah we can visit again.

I made sure I had one of my most recent stays in Vegas at the mirage because of the upcoming closure.😢
I stayed here in 2011 for a convention and got a special late night tour of the tiger area. Hoping Hard Rock has some good entertainment otherwise I’ll pass on staying here.
Best deal I ever got in Vegas-had a Volcano view. We really enjoyed the Mirage and are sad to see it go!

I'm pretty upset I didn't get to see the mirage volcano show. I went to Vegas for the first time last year and was pretty unprepared. I planned to go again this year, but surgery I had a few weeks ago didn't work out and I have to cut my yearly road trip in half and miss vegas next month :(

Never stayed at the Mirage but did visit alot to see the volcano, white tigers, the Secret Garden of Siegfried and Roy and saw Dolly Parton in concert there too.
I remember the shock reading a menu at a high end restaurant there that had shark fin soup for over $100. Didn't eat there, just saw the menu. It was my initial high price shock in Las Vegas.

Mirage is a cracking hotel, one of the better ones on the strip, so sad it's closing and being replaced with Hard Rock which is more or less just a standard party hotel.
I always enjoyed the Cravings Buffet at the Mirage. Sadly, it closed during the Covid era.
So they aren't Knocking it down they are just going to remodel it and change the name? You must see shin Lim. He was winner of AGT.
I believe they are just remodeling and changing the name of the current hotel tower but will knocking down the fountain area for the guitar shaped Hard Rock that is coming
I never had the chance to stay there. A friend and I are gonna have a "LOVE night" on my next trip, though! 😆

Best hotel I was in 2022. Will miss it completely
Just got back from the MIrage. Overall, not bad. Many gambling machines disconnected. Desk clerk said he would give us a room with a view. He did...view of the roof. They would not remove our resort fee. Restaurants intermittently open. I am biased though. Vegas has gotten too big and greedy. It used to be a great place for the 'average Joe' to play, eat cheap, and have fun. Now visitors get 'nickled and dimed' to death on everything. I hopefully will never return there.

Sad this place is going away first time I visited the Mirage it was 1995, I'm going to miss the lake and all the trees 🌳 😢 😞 and just the overall nature and serenity of the property. Also, what about that wonderful fish tank in the lobby? I bet they're going to to destroy that thing too. I mean, that guitar tower is going to create so much clutter on the strip and take up so much space. Steve Wynn should have never sold Mirage resorts to MGM back in 2000 it was a big mistake Mirage was a good company and now it's going to be gone for good or the last remnants of it, oh well it is what it is but I don't like it, Mirage you will be missed. 😒😒😕😕😢😢

The volcano will be missed. The hotel is a cookie cutter design.
The new guitar hotel will be better
