My pitbull told me when I got pregnant! She was a follow me everywhere type of girl, and after a lifetime of just lying on the bathroom rug when I used the toilet, one day she became VERY interested in my pee. A few days of shooing her away for acting like a weirdo, and I connected the dots with other clues and got a test done. She was such a smart cookie!
I had a boxer named Tajson (like Mike Tyson). He always knew who wears which home slippers and he was always offering them upon out return home, in a form of the jolly dance show.
Thanks for clearing up the idea that dogs feel and show guilt when they have done something we don't like. Too many people swear it is guilt for wrongdoing rather than reacting in a way they have learned help reduce your pissed-off--ness. I really hope no one has punished their own dog because they act in this appeasing way. Punishment does not work anyway. You need to set them up for success, train them, and stimulate their minds and bodies.
Neuroscience, biochemistry, behavioural observations - they all show that dogs' emotions are much like ours and they do love us just like we love them.
Guide dogs for the blind, and rescue dogs would be getting close to this. One of the hardest things - and rarest -abilities is the guide dogs that are able to "disobey" their human, when the human is walking into traffic. Mostly Labradors but some other breeds as well.

I LOVE DR. ANN!!!!!
Just joking, but you're right she is absolutely fantastic!
I wonder what would happen if we where to create a breed of dog with problem solving being the best skill (via the selected breeding method)?

They're called border collies.
@@StephInOttawalol you beat me too it! 😂👍
Have never considered dogs as perfect companions, I don’t trust them.
That clearly is your problem. No dog has ever lied to me or anyone else I know.
