It's one thing to see the old war footage from back then but seeing the same locations as they look today gives you a whole new perspective on what you saw from the older footage. I would love to see more of these before and after videos. They really add a lot to seeing the history and events of WW2.

I drove around the Ardenne one May and it really impressed me how hard it is to navigate and find your way on those narrow winding roads. Tanks could go cross country but all the supply vehicles would have been forced to take narrow, muddy or snow covered tracks that wind and undulate through the hills and with many of the roadsigns removed, I'm amazed how the Germans could even get to their objectives back then.

I live only about 10 km from Poteau. When the museum was still there, also the wooden shed in the field, where the big tree is been seen in the vid, was still there. My brother and i took a drive in a Czech halftrack, sdkfz251 lookalike. It costed €12 but it was worth it. The ride was on the field where the Jagdpanzer drove.

After law school I enlisten in the Army MP corp in 1990 and in 1991 I deployed to Germany for Reforger 1991 during the winter months. In some of the fields im Germany still bears the scars of world war II including bomb creators. The snow was nice and smooth and while advancing I ran across the field with my platoon leader watching me run I disappeared. I fell 7 feet into a wwii bomb creator. Needless to say, after 32 years later I still get asked if I remember that time I was there running across the field and the next moment I disappeared by my former LT

@@PanzerPicture I understand your thinking. At the same time, i feel it subtracts from the historical context. For example, why were the Civil War photos taken at Antietam and Gettysburg taken and published? To highlight to true realities of war. They used to glorify combat, and those photos showed what war really looked like, with the hope of discouraging it. Thank you for the hard work you put into these videos! Then and now photos always have captivated me. Please keep up the good work.
