  • This Golf Tip Is One of The Best Things You Can Do For Your Golf Swing. This AWESOME Golf Tip is a HUGE GAME CHANGER! Can you imagine adding 20 yards instantly and without any additional effort in your golf swing? This happened to me when I was taught to make this simple golf swing move - swing the "hands in".
"Hands In" is just simple golf swing code for taking the club back on a circle instead of swinging straight back and straight thru. The golf swing is a circle and provides us with plenty of power and accuracy if we know how to swing the club properly on an arc.
Tons of sports use the same philosophy of "hands in" to hit with more power - football kickers and soccer players hit the ball from an angle instead of kicking in a straight line. They realize they store much more power this way. You have more power because - imagine the hypotenuse of a triangle. The hypotenuse is the longer line. The straight baseline of the triangle is SHORTER than the hypotenuse. If you kick or hit in a straight line, you limit your distance potential because you don't cover nearly as much ground as you would swinging the hands in (on the hypotenuse).
Science aside, I think you'll enjoy swinging the golf club INWARD for tons of reasons, here are some of my favorites:
    1. Frees up your body to turn meaning less stress on your body and increased golfing longevity.
    2. Effortless power since you are accessing the power of the golf swing arc without having to take the club back so far. The ball is just going to explode off your clubface.
    3. Easier to hit from the inside - no need to "drop the club in the slot" on the downswing because you are already "in the slot" in the backswing. Less lifting and dropping means less reliance on hand-eye coordination. More consistency for you!
    4. The feeling of impact is BUTTERY AND CRISP. Before I swung this way, I didn't know I could hit the golf ball THAT clean. If you thought you hit the golf ball clean in the past, wait till you try this.
    5. More distance, more accuracy, MORE FUN in your golf game!
Are you still skeptical? I was too. I decided to give it a try because I had nothing to lose. I am so glad I gave it a shot. My game turned around completely for the better when I switched to swinging the golf club this way.

Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

Tried this in my last round. Was overswinging to start, trying to bring "the wrath of God" with my right arm. I then focused solely on weight forward, hands in. Drives went from 220, 225, high right to 240-260, middle to left side of fairway. Wow!! Irons go high and 10, 12, 15 yards longer. Had 138 in on 16 (after a 255 yard drive, TY), pulled my stock 135, an 8I. Did what you teach and flew it 17 yards past the pin!! No release, just hit and stop. No effort. Great lesson, Tom! Thanks for sharing!
    P.S. Chuck Norris, LOL!!

Your video saying you've been swinging the golf club wrong your whole life popped into my feed every day for quite a while. Finally decided to watch a few days ago.
The change was immediate and dramatic.
I've never had consistency. I didn't know if my 6 was gonna go 120 or 180.
I'm hitting all of my clubs roughly the same distance each time and with above-average distance.
Now, you might say it's only been 3 or 4 days, but I've probably hit more golf balls in the last 72 hours than I have in the past month! I just cannot get enough of how enjoyable it is.
Plan to join your web page soon because I truly am grateful.
    WTWOG!

I should add that I recently eliminated tension in my hands and arms as much as possible, and this has helped, too. I just tried to murder balls for 25 years and got happy when 1 of 30 felt good.
      On to the next 25!

I love this kid. I'm 57 now with MS for 20 years, I'm on Ocrevus infusions and it has helped me regain mobility, feeling and general zest for life. I recently played in a 4 ball charity with an old friend and the golf bug hit me. I was however disappointed that we only used a ball of mine 2 or 3 times. I found Tom's video lesson's and I must say I am amazed. I now know that my irons are going in that direction for this distance. No more picking up my ball without even getting back in the cart! Golf is fun again, LIFE is fun again. Thank You Tom

Hi Tom, Great videos....My 9 year old daughter loves your coaching you make her laugh and she enjoys your videos... you really make my job a lot easier keep up the great work.... My daughter started playing competitive golf a year ago at the age of 8 years old and plays USGA, PGA Jr. League and our local Country Club... We started watching your videos about a month ago and have been working and training pretty much every day... with your instruction her drives went from 150 yards to over 220 plus yards, her consistency and accuracy is amazing her irons have increased by 20 yards.... she played in a club match a few months ago and her score was 102 off the ladies red tees at 4300 yards... She just played the same course a few days ago and shot a 78 +5 first 9 and +1 on the back 9 with 2 birdies... she also just shot a 31 or -5 on a USGA yardage for 9 year olds... the last time she played same match she shot a 45 or +9 and a decrease of 14 strokes... absolutely incredible.... she can't wait to start playing competitively again due to the COVID issue.... we practice at home one day then play the course the next for the last month.... Thanks for everything... we love you.... go to www.kaitlynvictoria.com Go Saguto Golf!!!

Haven't shared anything since the summer due to work etc but your instructions paved the way for better golf. I showed you a video of me in 36 degree heat at Holtye working on your tips. Since then , despite a third lockdown, have managed to keep my weight forward, head and height consistent, hands and arms close, not hard as I had a flat swing anyway, but the weight forward is the key, and it has paid off. Handicap is down to 2 now. Always wanted to get below 5, this has been the biggest game changer. You still need considerable practice on the short game but your instruction has been paramount from tee to green xxxxxxx

One suggestion: In many of your videos, you explain, and demonstrate beautifully, the backswing. This includes weight forward, pivoting from lead leg, inside arms, dipping lead shoulder. However, some of us still struggle a bit with the mechanics involved in the down swing, through impact, weight transfer etc.
Could you please give a little more detail, in sequence, from top of backswing through impact, especially how to dip the trail shoulder? You have helped me so much already. Thank you. Paul

I spent rest of day sometime s finding slot sometime butchering it . topping it. Im def gonna try this. Maybe perfect cuz my left arm is not limber enough and my right elbow is hard to raise. I usually keep it very close to my body. Wow i gotta try this. I guess i did bring it back in the slot cuz it was very easy and seemed to cone back and follow thru on same line and felt very flat. Hi Bob,
The Stack & Tilt swing is a very body-friendly method. For me this is supported by my personal experience as a player, and furthered by the fact that the majority of my students are in their 60's, 70's, and 80's - i.e.: a smorgasbord of chronic ailments, physical limitations, back/shoulder/knee/hip pain, and joint replacements - and they are overwhelmingly elated to experience the dramatic pain-free game improvement and resulting enjoyment that this swing affords them.

Tom, I, like a lot of old farts (over 50) learned from watching “Jack” (either thru books or just watching his videos). Everybody knows about his high hands and the alleged “chicken wing”. My brother is a pga pro and the few times we have had a chance to work on my swing he has got me playing pretty good (he focuses on my swing staying on plane). What you are teaching, it seams like I feel in my swing from time to time, by thinking exactly what it looks like in your demonstration I.e. arms lower and more around one’s body. So, yeah, it seems like when I swing more around my body, I get way more power transfer, but it seems like it’s easier to get stuck also. I was down to a pretty legit 6.2 handicap at one time, but my golf career has been one of incredible inconsistency (like, literally one day, I’m swinging it like a good amateur and then the next day, I literally can barely hit the ball. So, my question is do guys like bubba and jack, of necessity somehow loop the club onto a lower plane on the downswing-wouldn’t they have to? Or, wouldn’t they otherwise be swinging into the ground and getting that downward glancing blow? Thanks for the awesome, awesome videos (I feel guilty cause this is big money info you are giving to us for free, and you are really funny and wildly entertaining).

Do you find that folks going to the stack and tilt swing end up flattening the lie of their irons due to the flatter swing plane? I was 2-3* up for ever (chopping wood). Started changing my swing over last October and I'm back to neutral lie but I'm thinking about 1* down at this point. Unless I straight block it, it's difficult to move the ball to the right without a lot of effort.
