I feel like simplicity is under-rated nowadays. Soad is one of the most unique sounding bands of all time and the bassist was half asleep the entire time. Thats awesome in my book.

Wow, this is actually pretty easy, ain’t gonna lie.
Almost all soad songs are pretty easy on guitar and bass but what makes it amazing is the tone and melody. Although it will be pretty bad when you play it in acoustic. I remember playing for 3 months I can already play full 4 soad songs on guitar.

I believe this song should be played with fingers, not a pick. At least that's the way their bassist does it
I know live videos are mostly played with fingers but i think the attack on the original bass track could be achieved only with a pick

if you have an extra bass use a B string and tune it up to a C
You could also get thicker gauge strings to compensate for the lost tension. For Drop C, some 110s or 115s should work. (110 as in 110-gauge for the E string).

@@taturtoddler6124 While that is the straightforward answer, you still have to take into account string tension and whether the new strings will fit comfortably along the nut. Otherwise, you could damage the instrument itself, or have a very high action, making it incredibly difficult to press down on the fretboard and simply play.

Why the tunning should be C,G,C,F istead of C,G,D,G ? You only use two strings
SOAD plays in Drop C
Zeonas1 Just a consistency thing, keep it the same as SOAD, although you could play it as CGDG if you're just playing aerials
