Got mine for $300 aud at xmas and can't believe how great it is . i7 Fusion Drive and 24 gb ram . Will be putting in top of the line Samsung nvme drive soon and should get over 2000 on read and write like my 2015 MacBook Pro 15 inch does . What a wonderful bargain and far better than i will ever need in the future too so it's future proof for me unless I decide to get into gaming !
I never had one, but I still have and use my late 2012 Mac Mini. Great machines.
I have an early 2008 21" imac .....and it's still rocking and rolling, although it is suffering now a bit. 4 years ago there was a fault and the IT company said I should dump it and it won't do this and that etc etc. I told them it actually does all the things they said it shouldn't. Long story short, I took it home and replaced the internal drive with an SSD drive and it was fixed with no faults up to recently when as you will imagine, it struggles a bit . Not bad for a 15 year old computer.
I bought Late 2015 just to run Logic Pro x in my studio, well happy.

I run Ubuntu, so I picked up a 2010 i7 model for $99. Another $74 for SSD and thermal sensor was still less than a 27-inch monitor would cost. Ubuntu runs old processors just fine, so long as it's 64-bit.
Just bought me a late 2015 imac with uograded 32GB ram, and 1 Tb HDD, with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, for $430 which included over $100 shipping, I think I got a good deal

i have a £2.4k macbook pro but i might pick up one of these because the design is so timeless and the newer ones don’t even come close
open core legacy patcher is a good option
yeah i've run open core patcher on loads of old macs and its worked amazingly, especially the ones with a metal compatible gpu
I ordered a late 2015 4k imac with a crack on it for $80 (its arriving tomorrow) and i like what im hearing

I love mine and just about to upgrade RAM but a super good computer for what I need it to do.
8 years old next year have a 2016 windows pc desktop with tons of ports both front and rear which is almost as old 6 years old back in October

I don't think its possible to use thunderbolt 2 for an egpu

@@HelloThereFoe No as in buy an external SSD like a Samsung EVO inside an external enclosure then install any macOS on it. It runs so much faster than a Fusion Drive and is super cheat
can it still support any 3rd party keyboard like a mechanical rgb keyboard and other mouse?
I recently got rid of my 5K iMac for a new M2 MacBook Air 💻 and it’s actually outperforming the iMac 10 Fold 😅 shockingly! But I will say that IMac was a damn good computer! 🖥️ ❤️🥰👍🏻 it’s serve me well!

I have one of these with i7 6700K, 32gb ram and 1TB NVME Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD running Sonoma with OpenCore Patcher. Amazing performance for many years to come!

That is the RAM access cover. It is so easy to open.

I have this iMAC 5k late 2015 and it's running El Capitan, can anyone help me update it to Monterey? I've tried updating over the internet and also via a bootable USB but the installation always restarts with 18 minutes remaining and then starts the process all over again.
Update to Catalina, after update to Monterey
@@bolkon2282go into recovery by clicking command r or Windows alt r like I did and it'll be there. will wipe everything but you'll get monterey
i updated to high sierra first then catalina then monterey. that method worked for me. i probably couldve skipped catalina though. @@bolkon2282
