Steel reinforcement bars or rebars are used to improve the tensile strength of the concrete, since concrete is very weak in tension, but is strong in compression. Steel is only used as a rebar because elongation of steel due to high temperature (thermal expansion coefficient) nearly equals that of concrete.

While we use the inner diameter "kd" considering the 180 degree band (d dia of rebar) for calculation of bending dia of BBS what should be the value of k for TMX, TMT and HYSD bars
