Kate Henderson: Each Deep Breath…, 2023

Each Deep Breath… is a video comprised of 1,225 frames of Risograph digital print overlaid into a stop motion animation. Within the animation Henderson explores the delicacy involved in meticulous crafts with an ethereal, inherently female perspective providing thoughtful contemplation on the moments of time when we are waiting. The animation shows the gazes of women framed within the transformation of a butterfly interspersed with interludes of the North Sea.
