Thank you very much for the comment. The Dog (though not fond of getting wet) seems to love mud and it would be rude not to play with him! He is very cute I agree! Having a good pair of Wellies gives me so much confidence as I hate wet/damp feet! Now I need to find a good pair of Welly Liners. Any Suggestions? Georgia

yes there is nothing worse than wet feet.
iv,e got a pair of hunter welly socks they keep your feet very snug and warm
i also have a pair of aigle parcours iso 2 neoprene lined there great for winter and you don,t need welly socks for those.
      i hope this helps

The Barbour Bede are very comfortable and much lighter than Le Chameau Chasseur and obviously much less expensive. They feel great even without socks. Amazon described them as mid calf, they are not. These boots are full length and easy to get on and off.

I tried all barbour. I am size 9 but couldn't get my foot passed the ankle. I finally managed it with a size 14! Needless to say, they stayed on the shelf. If there's something I'm missing let me know, I love barbour.

It might be worth getting a half height boot they tend to be a bit wider.

@@E-outdoorCoUk don't think a 6ft bloke would look quite right in a half height somehow!
