  • This is an early prototype of 3D Environment Reconstruction and Streaming in Mobile. There is 6 DoF (Direction of Freedom) in the video. You can watch the environment in any where with the 3D Video Player app.
    3D Video Generation requires below steps to be accomplished:
    - Capturing Point Clouds from Kinect Cameras
    - Registering Point Clouds
    - Simplification of Point Clouds
    - Meshing
    - Texturing
    - Compressing each 3D frame(3D Model)
    - Putting 3D frames into a container file
    Info about 3D Video Playing
    - Opening container file and decompressing 3D frames
    - Playing 3D frames in an OpenGL environment
    - Supports zooming, rotating, moving in the scene in ordinary smartphones
    - Support Google's Project Tango, it means viewpoint of the scene changes accordingly with your moves in the your real physical area.
    Roadmap:
    - Increasing quality by using more cameras
    - Increasing quality in registration and texturing
    - Adding audio
    - 1 to N Live and VoD Streaming
    - Trying more professional stereo camera, lidar solutions to reconstruct bigger places with a better quality
