Watching from Tropical Australia, we have a species here naturally. Every time I watch your videos, it makes me so happy to see what you do to control this pest in your waters. With some of their waste, not suitable to eat, most fish material/bones etc, makes great fertiliser for Florida gardens.
Wow,, It's absolutely incredible for me to see Dania Beach after so many years..I used to snorkel/dive there as a kid (50+ years ago) & I can tell you that it looked nothing like that..We would speargun there with a small amount of success,, We were much more successful with slurpguns & catching fish to keep for our tanks,, But also sold many to pet stores..While I'm glad to see so much more growth/life there,, It truly saddens me to see it being overun by Lionfish..Thanks so much for helping to change that..I am an Endangered Species (Native Floridian) & I have been saddened over my lifetime to see so many invasives taking over my state,, I have always done as much as I could to help stop/change that & so naturally I am grateful to see others doing the very same. I don't know how it's done in the USA, but here in the caribean you just take it fresh out the water, put it on ice, go to the restaurants by the beach or seaside (they are the ones that usually have fresh fish on the menu) and say : "hello, you wanna buy some fresh fish". Yeah just like that. Pretty simple really. And the. After some time they just know you etc
I truly enjoy your videos since I'm afraid to get into the ocean and would love to do what you are doing if I wasn't so terrified of sharks. I'd never be able to relax at all but it's relaxing watching you
I was wondering. When several lionfish are put in that canister, do they sting each other with their spines and then would that venom be in the fish's flesh, possibly making inedible?
I randomly found a different lionfish removing video where a nurse fish tried to eat the bag of caught lionfish, (prob cuz i got too interested in clams after watching moana 2) which lead to your channel, i found this lionfish hunting stuff cool so if I ever get bored I'll watch your videos :)
im originally from a US territory located in the caribbean and i learned that the fish size matters when catching fish from the caribbean ocean. the rule is eat manageable size fish to avoid mercury , i think. we did eat salted cod flown in from norway, iceland and so on (they sent us the scraps). makeral and redherring fresh was also a staple along with the shiny skinn fish. im living on the mainland now (nyc) and the red snapper is humongous along with everything else. i get everything fresh cod, salmon, tuna im having frsh for the first time in my life. its amazing and expensive but i dont think i can go back to canned fish.
Man that's sad to see so many of them. I live right near here. Haven't been diving in years but I don't remember this many the last time I was out there. I've been told we had the population in check a bit.
"BUMM"!! XD In Europe the gray-squirrel invaded from the US and is superior to our fox-squirrels and so our squirrels are dying out. So I can understand people that try to help there own animals :)
How many lion fish can you catch in one dive on average in pounds or kilos? If you sell them, do you sell them whole or do you filet them? What do you sell them for?
What if you try to feed smaller ones to local fauna? Can they learn how to hunt them? In Pacific, their native environment, groupers and eels attack them from the head, cause that way spikes are flattened. In Caribbean there are similar groupers and eels and other hunters, but they don't know how to hunt them...yet, maybe?
Are you possibly messing up the bodies of previously speared lionfish, each time you load* a newly speared one into that container that is almost as deep as your spear heads?
I have to ask you. As a man that is pretty scared of sharks, you must have hand scary encounters carrying these bloody fish around. I mean come on... They say sharks can smell blood from miles away. So have you had scary encounters?
So they can share their experience of the strange predator with a spike they can't fight off and should run from? Make it far harder to hunt them? And just so you know, yes lion fish have been observed to communicate with one another about how to hunt different fish.
Oh come on, this is the same as going hunting ptarmigan for god sake. Ptarmigan is a game bird in Northern Canada that you can walk up to and kick or reach down and grab by the neck !
Congrats on you, Tyrone and your wife finally having baby Tyrell. Can you make a video with your wife’s boyfriend fishing. You still haven’t introduced him in your videos. He seems like a great guys. Congrats man.
It never gets old watching you!!
The sound effects you make are high tech!! Which gets a good chuckle from us. Narration is perfect! Thx
Boom 💥
Thank you so much we are trying out there! I try to make it a little bit entertaining😂😂😂
What sound effects? Scooter and breathing, maybe boat propeller.
"Touch nothing, leave only bubbles."
I LOVE IT!!
I grew up hunting and hiking all over Alaska and the motto was- "Pack it in? Pack it out!"
I think it's take nothing, but yeah...the sentiment stands

So many big ones, love that. I love the hard coral and the soft coral, so many different types. 💚💚

You guys are just having WAY too much fun!! I'd love to go after lionfish myself What is the pole spear you have? I could use a new one myself.
This is called a foldspear! Thank you very much. You can use any old spear though.
@@Lionfish_Extermination_Corp thanks! I would SO love to do this myself, but it would be a really long drive!
@@Lionfish_Extermination_Corppeople are asking u questions and you’re just ignoring them
Just love your videos. Glad people are now willing to eat these invasive fish.
How do you get into selling to the restaurants. I'm ready to dedicate my life to our coasts.

Here in Florida you need a license to sell but not to kill as many as you want.
Dude doesn’t even answer you cuz he’s rude
That’s the spirit :)
I've just found this channel and I am bingeing through the content. I want your job! It is the coolest thing ever to do!
Nice vids mate. We do a lot of lionfish hunting in Grenada - I had no idea they were so prolific in FL.
Wow! I never thought I’d have so much fun watching this. Thank you 😁
My man, you are 12345678 times better than watching Nat Geo! I love your style of ocean & marine life education thank you!
Awesome job you guys are doing👍 thanks man🙏🙏🙏
It's a cool video to watch, but my suggestion would be to film in landscape mode instead of portrait.
What was the water temperature and what type of wetsuit are you using?
As usual, Love your videos.
This is a 5 mm wetsuit. It’s a new one called bare. and I was in like 74° water maybe 73
I truly enjoy your videos since I'm afraid to get into the ocean and would love to do what you are doing if I wasn't so terrified of sharks. I'd never be able to relax at all but it's relaxing watching you
Thank you for all you do
nice work. great eating and controlling a big problem.
Nice job another zootube's worth that won't be doing anymore damage keep it up!
An expert lion fish hunter!
Keep up the good work, great vid!
I was wondering. When several lionfish are put in that canister, do they sting each other with their spines and then would that venom be in the fish's flesh, possibly making inedible?
Thank for doing this! What do lionfish taste like?
Your doing the lords work lad
This is cool! I’m in Hollywood, need to check out this spot soon
We got tons here in the treasure coast. So many that there’s flag warnings at beaches now when they get too populated.
It would have been a great video. Why portrait mode?!

In Australia birds have learned to flip caintoads to eat them. Something will adapt eventually.
Nice video. What do they taste like? Anything like striper?
Their white flaky fish people say they taste like snapper grouper I think they taste like perch walleye that sort of thing
There seems to be very few fish on the reef.
They taste like what you cook them in- butter, peanut oil, etc.
Man that's sad to see so many of them. I live right near here. Haven't been diving in years but I don't remember this many the last time I was out there. I've been told we had the population in check a bit.
Are the lion fish in the tube like coral laying eggs there and guarding their offspring?
How many lionfish does that container hold?
Don't know how many, but i've seen other vids from him, where he says about 15 pounds of lionfish in each of those containers.
@@felipescheibel5217 Very interesting. Thanks!
Thank you for cleaning our oceans
How many longish can fit in that tube? An estimate of course since you can catch babies to monster size?
You can see them empty them out in some videos ans provided they aren’t all huge they’re easily fitting 15-20 of various sizes in there
"BUMM"!! XD In Europe the gray-squirrel invaded from the US and is superior to our fox-squirrels and so our squirrels are dying out. So I can understand people that try to help there own animals :)
Isn't fox-squirrel also from the US? I checked Wikipedia since I wasn't aware of this problem and our local squirrel seems to be red squirrel instead?
since i got headphones for christmas and i used it since a bug kept buzzing in my ears, its way more realistic and feels like im underwater too :0
Were you north or south of the pier? I used to dive from the beach and a boat there all the time.
Cute pufferfish thumbnail at 6:08 :)
"PSYCH!!!!"...LOL! LOVE IT!
You can't beat me, I have spikes.
Ya, wait until you see my spikes.
How many lion fish can you catch in one dive on average in pounds or kilos? If you sell them, do you sell them whole or do you filet them? What do you sell them for?

Hi - which spear are you using? Thanks!
thanks
Dumb question - why arent they ever bleeding?
Excellent 👌👍

i am all for ending this blight on our reefs.
Are you possibly messing up the bodies of previously speared lionfish, each time you load* a newly speared one into that container that is almost as deep as your spear heads?
Wish i could do this with ya thanks for cleaning up the world
They should have been called Peacock fish... They way they
Display what looks like feathers
With so many speared fish…how does it not attract sharks to the area?
"lionfish, you've eaten your last minnow
Good job! Curious why your videos aren't widescreen format?
Bam!
I can't believe how arrogant these fish are they are not scared at all.
Where are the juveniles?
Respect
I tried looking for your Venmo and I couldn’t find it
I have to ask you. As a man that is pretty scared of sharks, you must have hand scary encounters carrying these bloody fish around. I mean come on... They say sharks can smell blood from miles away.
So have you had scary encounters?
👍🏻
I noticed no blood.
They are such a pretty fish it’s a shame idiots released them and now they invasive to Florida.
These are the type that decimates species
The Design of this fish is very Native American.
I don't know *Where* you?
I need to slow down when posting and stop talk texting ha ha😂😂
Turn the small ones into cat food
Do you get a salary from this nonprofit? I wouldn’t mind doing this for a living
Well, you weren’t successful with your spelling in the title. Nice catch though!
Ha ha I corrected it I use talk text for everything. Maybe I should double check!😂
You need to leave a couple of injured ones as a message to the others.
Obviously kidding for all you sensitive folk.
So they can share their experience of the strange predator with a spike they can't fight off and should run from? Make it far harder to hunt them?
And just so you know, yes lion fish have been observed to communicate with one another about how to hunt different fish.
I’m afraid they can propagate faster than you can remove them.
At least you have something left to hunt. Lol your reefs look dead
you have the invasive Lionfish to partially thank for that
Oh come on, this is the same as going hunting ptarmigan for god sake. Ptarmigan is a game bird in Northern Canada that you can walk up to and kick or reach down and grab by the neck !
It's insane how bad the sea lion population has gotten.
This is one of those rare kinds of fish. Your video is somewhat disturbing !!!😮
Congrats on you, Tyrone and your wife finally having baby Tyrell. Can you make a video with your wife’s boyfriend fishing. You still haven’t introduced him in your videos. He seems like a great guys. Congrats man.
Wtf? My wife’s boyfriend is also named Tyrone 😮
Why can't we release it's natural predators in the same waters?
Do you solve a roach infestation by introducing tarantulas?
Global warming ... come on. Jeesh! You and Al Gore.
...what?
