Yea buddy it’s only going to get worse you good until chapter 11 on up then you gotta work an you gone get handed a lot of L’s it look easy cuz he got the ultimate weapon which gives u full limit at each fight an fills up again fast an the only way to get it beat them on hard mode without it def was a fun challenge

I love to see how everyone uses other build like with this one Cloud is played raw damage instead like others that build him magic based and still get world record times. Shows how great of a battle system this game has
Normaly i give people shit for not getting this run done with RTA in consideration, but man, was that just crazy! For some reason this runs feels nostalgic for me, and reminds me of different Jrpg boss rushes and the crazy times them went to. Looking forward for your improvement.

If you have fire + elemental in your armor slot, ifrit literally heals you with his attacks when he comes out (if you have a maxed elemental materia). Also arcane ward and mp up really help against leviathan and bahamut, if you start spamming them with magic they will become pressured. Best of luck!
I guess one way to get your time to go even lower would be if everytime you entered tactical mode you went straight to the command you want without wasting any time cause I believe time still passes during this mode only really slowly. If everytime you press a button leads you straight to what you want to do you'll be able to get an even better time. Here's hoping you do, it's a great watch, I gave up after getting 4 mins 😅
Yeah As im getting more used to the strategy im going to become fasterwitht he menus, but I dont think switch to a character and doing a fast command would go faster than going through the menu, the time slows down very slowly, but who knows maybe theres a hidden mechanic ill see what I can do :P

So for bahamut (and maybe others I can't tell) on the opening uppercut with tifa, what do you do if concentration activates and you have her tier 2 chi level? Do you just triangle twice? Or just one triangle still to get that atb charge and fit in the upper cut later?
Wow killed fat chocobo so fast. Wonder if it's possible to kill it before the moogle is able to do their attack. After watching these daily new records the moogle seems to be on a timer for when it does it's move. Congrats again
It's possible to win without the moogle acting; there seems to be a small bit of variability in when it acts, and sometimes it's just slow enough. It doesn't seem to make a difference in clear time, though, since time is slowed for the moogle's scene.
It is possible, but its kind of random. Although, the times Im able to kill it before the moogle "Fingers cross", is when I have not enough ATB with cloud to do braver + triple slash right after I stagger, so I do 2-3 AA before doing the breaver+triple combo and it would delay the moogle (for some reason). What I find weird is that its supposed to be taking me more time because of the 2-3 AA and it end up alllowing me to skip the moogle. Not sure how this mechanic works...
@Shinryu Often on my fast clears and when I do low timers, I skip the moogle "fingers cross", I don't know if its just coincidence, but in my experience skipping this greatly reduce my timers ( but this is just my observation), I will do some testing tonight to know if its true or not :P
@shinryu Just tested it out with every possible scenario and the moggle "cross finger" attack does not affect the timer, but you can actually prevent the moogle from doing the attack by moving your camera away from where it comes from which actaully doesnt do anything in the end but thats something I guess haha
I sometimes used different materia so when I know I don't have a potential record run I try new stuff, Like use aeroga instead of thundaga on bahamut, If I would commit to aeroga or thundaga I would prob go Gil/xp up on cloud for the +2 luck
It reduces the atb required do an action, and when doing focused strike, it actually give back more atb than you used. Very useful with atb assist when you trying to do as much actions as possible

You are not the first one to ask, but I myself never understood why. maybe it has something to do with a hidden mechanic in the game, but my guess is it has something to do with procing the "Skill Master Materia" multiple times, but this is just my guess, I never investigated this when I was doing World record since all my time and energy was poured into trying to beat the record

Who came up with this strategy? Everyone does the same thing against top secrets. I prefer my slower and more reasonable strategy vs this game breaking
Well like any game, when you are going for a world record, theres a "META" that any player who wants to compete needs to follow. Right now or when this video was created the meta was this strategy, I am the first one to have really pushed this META foward, but I myself mashed a couple of strategy together before coming up with this startegy. If you want to play for fun, suit yourself whatvever strategy you like the most, but yeah when it comes to World record theres not a lot of way to go about it

Leviathan always gives it to me, rarely I get to see bahamut and when I do he always manages to summon ifirit when his health is low 🙄

I have remove that node because on some fights its just annoying and doesnt allow me to get as much atb as I would want :P

Yeah it is, no matter what difficulty your game is at, the fight will always be put at hard. It is written beside the challenge in the simulator menu
