if the $$$ bag that MS gives to the developers to put their games on GamePass covers all potential game sale or more, then i dont see an issue here. For example, if the game was going to sell 500K copies of their game and MS pays them the amount of what 500K copies is worth, the developer still makes money. No issue here lol

I think MS' long-term plan is to acquire Netflix (after the ABK deal closes) and create a $50 tier that replaces the current $15 GP Ultimate tier. It will include Netflix/GP Ultimate. They increase the price, but they disguise that increase by giving you more value in the form of movies/tv shows.

With all of gaming jumping up to $70 per title, Game Pass is easily the most consumer-friendly service out there. It may or not be financially sustainable for Microsoft in the long run (only time will tell), but for now, I can say without hesitation that it’s financially sustainable for me. 😆

But for a lot of these games when it comes to me, I would have never even bought them in the first place if it wasn’t for gamepass. Phil Spencer was really thinking we were retarded enough to pay 10 dollars a month for a service, and pay full price at the same time for a game that is on the Game Pass.
Of course it's gonna tank the sales. Business-wise, Microsoft/Xbox is playing a really weird game (no pun intended).

Storage Expansion -> both Playstation and Switch use Standard Storage devices, µSD for Nintendo, PCIe 4.0 m.2 for Playstation. XBOX uses proprietary, firmware locked stuff.
And the BIG one that people don't like to talk about: Controller features. If you experienced the PS5 Vibrations, you know what I mean. Its stronger, more immediate and also finer. One of them is talking about something happening in the future (Section 7 part 83 page 99) the other one is talking about game sales going down after one year(Section 5 part 61 through 64 page 58). Honestly, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bought the Series X this gen. I still like buying physical copies of games. Gamepass ensures that many third party titles will miss a physical release entirely. Nintendo and Sony consoles get a physical copy, so why are Xbox owners getting skipped? Think about this for a second, take away Gamepass Ultimate for a second and say 100 million at $10 a month, that is 1 billion dollars a month 12 billion a year and yes that's gross revenue but that is an awful lot of gross revenue. All of their games are riddled with micro transactions and release in a near unplayable state now, worse than what has become acceptable in this era of gaming. Gamepass promotes laziness on the part of Microsoft to no longer need to put out quality products as long as they have the quantity. Disney plus and Netflix are having the same issues. If xbox only has to give money out to 100+ games companies (and eat the cost for the ones they own), that surely can be a larger payout then what Netflix has to do to produce /purchase media in the thousands.
