That triangle window is called a vent window. It used to be standard on all cars. Way before air conditioning, young whippersnapper. Best way to get into your car when you locked the keys inside also. 💘 🐂 🌽 🐕 🚜 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Farmers are at the mercy of Mom Nature. That side vent window was our "Air conditioner" on every car. It blew in bugs too! Sorry for the structural damage on the big shed.
Love yaws relationship. Even on bad years you guys will pull thru because of your tight relationship. Pops wanted to hold your hand so you wouldn’t fall in the ditch!! Love it. Good stuff
GREEN ACRES !! Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor!! What a hoot!! Cole! That was some outstanding loadin, haulin, dumpin, re loadin, and managin the grain to the ethanol plant. You really nailed that job. Glad that storm kinda skirted your place. Not good to have mother nature destroy all you've worked for. Thanks for letting me tag along again. I really enjoyed this trip.
Thanks for another great video Cole. Most interesting with the storm coverage. Wow. That storm moved in on you pretty quickly. Had prayers going for you and the farm. It appears your crops are going to weather the storm that moved through. Very good. So glad your crops are ok. The drone footage was outstanding. Great overview of the crop land in your area. Looking good it is. Trusting your crops will produce good this year. Nice to have shed space for all of your equipment when it storms. Good to get it inside before the storm hits. Good job Brian. What-no song of the day. Missed that. Glad Storla Station was ok and no damage. Ya!!!! Tami’s flowers were ok but a little wind damage. She was checking them out to make sure. Thanks for showing us around the fields. That was interesting. We used to do the same thing back in the day. One year hail took everything. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. Forgot something about what Cole was talking about. You were talking about the side vents on the truck you were using. A little info. Those are called side window vents. Also go be a few other names. Most people called then side window vents. Were real common back in the day before air conditioners. Most cars had them also. My old cars had them. Just a little info for you. Thanks The Iowa farm boy.
Send the rain to South Texas Cole, We neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed it. Hope all farmers are blesses with the needed weather they need. Prayers friends from South Texas Cattle and Hay.
@@America-First2024 Yes sir, we did mention that we hope all farms get the needed weather. Its getting to a point where our city is telling us not to water our lawns. Check us out we just started. keep safe friend.
We sure are glad you all survived the wild weather. That wing window is what you call vintage air conditioning. Takes me back to being a kid. I am around the same age as Brian and even though my grandparents didn't have farms they grew up on them and some of the family were still farmers. I bet Brian has great stories of growing up in that summer heat and the winter cold! Every spring the first time you pulled the vent rods (mechanical vents under the dash), in our old cars, the fir needles, dirt and leaves would blast out at you in a cloud. That big green beast had regular crank windows, wing windows and the electric roll down window in the back gate. You worked it with the key. Woooo fancy! Every summer mom and dad would pack us three kids up in the big green '69 Ford station wagon with the rumble seats and no ac to go back to the homeland in Wisconsin. The wing windows were the greatest! They should still put them in cars. When it was hot they worked great except when they caught bugs or wasps and sent them straight at the people sitting in the front seat. Bees in the car was not fun. Going across the country before I-90 in the summer was fun though. I remember going through SD and it was over 100 degrees. We all put on our bathing suits and soaked the beach towels with water in a gas station sink every time they dried out. With all the windows, vents and wing windows open and the wet towels draped over us we had our own personal swamp coolers until they dried out again. We made up games to play and learned a lot because our parents would tell us all about what we were seeing outside. Farms, towns, fields, livestock, history. Years of those trips shaped my whole life and I appreciate all the hard work people do to keep us all fed. I have a lot of stories too. It was an adventure I wouldn't trade for anything. Kids who don't grow up outside and always in conditioned spaces need to build some character. Farm kids have lots of character. That is why you guys make the best videos for us to enjoy!
I commented on the wings but had forgot all about the pulling the vent rods! Hard to believe that was 40 years ago when I was 16 driving that 56 chevy pickup. Yeah, the memories of those times just feel like something every young person should get to experience, the world feels like it has taken a hard turn in the wrong direction.
Green Acres. I watched it all the time.. Great Home and farm. Very nice place . Awesome video Cole and Mr. B. Sorry about the corn crop.Glad y'all got some rain. Thank you guys.
I was the 457th viewer of this video (I almost never catch a new video right away) and by the time I finished watching, I hit the refresh button and now this view number is 3952! Good showing for this one, Cole! I'm glad you guys got more needed rain and very little damage to boot. Thanks, guys.
My first car was a very, very old VW Bug....they had those wing windows which were the earliest air conditioners! My husband and I (then boyfriend) toured Europe in that car until I came to the US after his tour of duty was done.
"Green Acres is the place to be...". I was sure worried about you folks as I watched the weather forecasts. ---I haven't heard any horror stories from the farm neighbor nearest the Farmstead in ND, but it looks like they got on the edges of one of those storms too.
Glad you came through ok... I was concerned once I started seeing images of that storm hit the media. BTW, that moment of Brian holding your hand down into the ditch had me rolling. It was completely sincere and yet somehow designed to generate maximum awkwardness, which he achieved given the look on your face.
Storms like that are a regular occurrence here in Oklahoma. Except for the past 4-5 weeks, we have had zilch in the rain department in my area. One town out in western Oklahoma actually got over 5” of rain a day or two ago. They were the only town in the whole stats that got rain.
Haven't seen that Green Acres thing in a while! There is something about storms coming through that are just hard to describe. It might just be the really old fashioned version of what our ancestors would have thought of a rollercoaster. It helps some people and hurts others, either way you have to deal with what you got. Glad yours wasn't anything to bad, thanks for sharing!
Glad everything is relatively OK. As a kid, my Dad called that window the wing window. It's great until it funnels in a bug or two or more and you get it right in the face.
Thankful you guys are okay. Your faith is amazing to see. Green Acres is the place to be and you have many green acres now. Praying for a good harvest. God bless. Love the channel
Green Acres. I am happy you two showed the aftermath of the storm. I saw that you were going to get something. Tami has a claim on her flowers, for sure!
Perfect timing on loading, looked like it was going into truck and the bin in background. Always watching here in NEW ZEALAND. Keep up the great work mate. 🇱🇷🇳🇿
Nice to see you had some rain, we sure could use some. We've had only a little over a half and inch in 5 weeks, with averages in the mid 90s. Monday my son and I had to work on the baling tractor for a few hours, it had broken down in the hay field. It was over 100 degrees and the tools and panels on the tractor were so hot, we couldn't touch them. After the tractor was running, we had to rake and bale hay, for 2 to 3 hours each and load hay to haul home. Green Acres on the theme song, Brian. Thanks for the video Cole, hope you have a great week.
I absolutely love how y'all turn the bad into good. All you can do is get a laugh out of it, that's the best way to live life! Here's to hoping those roots hold well and the corn straightens out 🤞🏻

called vent windows '2-50' model, best were 2-65'. 2 windows @ 65 mph!
Yep, I'm a smoker and I'll never get rid of my old vehicles that have wing windows just for that reason! LoL
I wish vehicles still were made with them

Cole, the great relationship between you and your Dad always inspires me. I hope it inspires others.
Green Acres ,love the humor. Glad you guys got a decent amount of rain. Hope the building damage isn't terrible. Thanks for the videos!
Millennial Farmer lost an entire storage barn & a bin in a storm earlier this year. It was bad 😔
Oh man I hope it's just some rain, a little thunder and lightning. Prayers you didn't get anything destructive.
Glad you were spared the hail. Nice rains for everyone

Green Acres. I always compared my farm to Green Acres. The past couple years it’s been leaning towards Little House on the Prairie.
Nothing like the smell of rain coming across the farm in the summertime. Good to view Ellie doing her duty. Bless your efforts.
