Your Dad is too funny. That comment about the clouds rushing back to refill was spot on. Now I know where you get your sense of humor. Great video.
I got a good laugh out of it.
Yes! Thank you!
Got power???? Thank a lineman 👊. Left my family 22 days ago chasing storms restoring power. Hoping I make it home for my daughters graduation 🎓 ......
Good luck and thank you feerless linemen for what you do!
Linemen are amazing, thank you!
HV Lineman. Thank you for the thankless work you do ! Rain storms, Snow storms, High winds,Hail, etc. The "Lineman" is there. When I get the chance. I always say "Thank You" to a Lineman..(West Penn Power) district.
Thanks for all you do! I hope you make it home too. Peace ✌️
The old Generator story, warmed my heart! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Cole : "I guess the hired man aka Cole has to go out there and clean em up before the harvest." Dad: "I love that guy." Too funny.
Thank you Brian!!! 😊
My old line of work (electric) necessitated working mandatory 16 hour shifts in the worst of conditions. At the time, they could be like a living hell. Retired now, and looking back they’re some of the most memorable times (in a good way) of my life. Something about overcoming adversity, with hard work, that is very satisfying.
Glad you didn't lose any bins. And your dad's humor is so amazing! You must have been raised with laughter!
it's sept 2024 1st time watching this. i'm 77 and i miss my dad love this video and this family
Hey Cole, ur Dad has such a dry sence of humor!🌲🇨🇦
They got flooded but Mr. Brian and Cole still smiles for us😊💜
That was so depressing to see. At least Cole had some positive points that it will dry out so the work can continue. All that work you did, I hope you can recover from this devastation. GOOD LUCK!!!!
I love dad! I want to hear all of his stories! I love his humor!
Your Dad is awesome Thanks for making this video, I miss the farm life.
At the beginning of the video your dad looked wiped. But by the end of the day you had him joking and smiling. Good job. You are good for each other. Praying the waters recede very soon and your farm dries out. Keep smiling young man and you too Dad.
OMG Corn Palace...saw that place on a family vacation in 1963 when I was 9 years old! One of the only things I remember of the trip from Pennsylvania to Seattle. Love your vids!!
The dramatic ringing of the wet gloves awesome maybe an Academy Award
I feel your pain. In 2018 hurricane Michael wrecked us. 9 pivots flipped, barns tore down and over 200 acres of cotton completely lost. After the storm the cotton that we did picked only yielded around 500lbs. Hope you guys don’t get too much damage.
it sets a guy back
Could watch you two all day
Great story. I’m sure never gets old.
I really enjoyed your video today. In today’s world we all need a sense of humor. That’s what we need some days to keep us going. I am sorry you have had so much rain but al least you were able to harvest the hay before the storm.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The relationship between you and your father brings memories back when my father was still with us. I thoroughly enjoy your videos!
Thank you so much!
Hope you guys don't get more severe storms.Good thing you bought that generator Brian. Keep up the great work.
Hey Cole and Brian,it`s good that you didn`t get, hopefully, any major damage from the storm.I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Frank!
good you didn't get hit few😮😮
"They're going back to refill." Boy, that's a way put it. As always appreciate the videos and Dad's wisdom. 😉👍 For all of us facing diversity this season, keep the head up y'all, you're not alone. But that's what makes US great in this country. When one person goes down, there's 10 to pick you up! I'm pulling for ya, we're all in this together. 😉 MERICA. 🇺🇸🐮💪❤️
Thanks 👍
I like when your dad says the rains clouds are going back to the refill
Hopefully you will have a good crop with all that moisture Bless you all
Hey there again you guys! What an hilarious video, Brian is growing more and more into the camera, I love his dry sense of humour. I thought when he was driving the Gator he was going to plough through that flood on Maxi-thrash but true, it's not the best idea. You both did a fantastic job on the railroad ties, it was a neat and tidy looking job and I'm sure the 'Cattles' will love it.
I can't believe you were both so laid back about getting so much rain and the crops all flooding out, I would have been gutted about it. So, Arby's, I know it's good but don't Westy's still do wings Wednesday?
Thank you for the ongoing entertainment guys and stay safe......Danger don't take a day off. (love that)
Thanks Dave!
"the traffic today" -- I had to laugh. We are out in the middle of nowhere in SW Wisconsin, and I think there is a traffic jam when there is more than one vehicle on the road... 😊
I've heard the generator story twice now. Love it. Yet another video where Cole gets something messy on him. Brian's clouds going to refill is comedy gold. Hope you are all OK. Thanks!
Thanks again!
Tough break on all the rain but GOD will provide. Love your videos.
I like your father. Treasure the time you have with him. Even in the dark stormy nights.
Glad you didn’t forget to have your Dad tell the generator story. Also glad you got your electricity back and hope your crops aren’t too badly damaged. Enjoyed the video!
Yes! Thank you!
Cole, you have a great imagination. Keep feeding it.
when I saw the title of this video my heart dropped past my belly button.I quickly said a prayer and watched the rest.Glad you have a sense of humor in all of this, love you guys hope for the best at harvest time,Hugs .
Thank you!
WOW...such respect for what you guys do! When things go right its a easy to appreciate and watch. But honestly when they go sideways is when you see what people are made of. Your some of the best! 💋
Wow, thank goodness you got your bales done in time. Hope you don't lose too much of your crop from this.
Hi Guys,it never rains but it pours.Great to see your positive attitude and sense of humour shining through at the end.
Hey, Cole! Never leave home without a good pair of work gloves! Nice imitation of a bawling calf when your hand got all gnarly. 😂😂😂
Power Pole down! "Hey are you ok?" LOL that was good!
You two are so fun to watch! Let Brian talk more...😉
Great video. So sorry to hear about the storm. Amazing how you are able to stay so positive even when things get tough. You two are fun to be with. (PS In spite of the fact that I am from Ontario, I have in fact been to your Corn Palace in Mitchell.)
That's awesome!
Those stories was one of the reasons I subbed to your channel lol
Hey Cole, I've been watching all your vids and they are all entertaining. my dad looks alot like your dad. He grew up in Winner, SD. He didn't farm but his family raised cattle, chicken and crops. I commented on this vid because I've been to the CORN PALACE, and all the other tourist traps in SD like Wall Drug, Flintstones land, Dinosaur mountain, mt rushmore, crazyhorse... So my dad passed away too young a few years ago and I really like seeing you guys banter and chide each other. Sort of reminds me of my dad. Thanks for the vids.
Ouch! Nasty storm, you were not kidding! Glad the power is back on and no one got hurt.
Love Dad stories! Cole get Dad a sweatshirt with generator story on it! I don’t want you to loose power but I look forward to hearing it again. 😃 👍👍
Watching older videos and can say this is a good one too. In it I got to see the ‘Only Corn Palace’ for the 2nd time in my 52 years. I drove from Brookings thru Mitchell to Grand Island back to Lubbock and stopped to see it back around ‘15.
I hit the LIKE button....not because I liked the storm...but to help support the channel...just wanted to clarify
Thanks Ryan!
Enjoy those dad stories my dad is the same way. The same stories over and over!
The Hay Bailed before the storms. LMAO! You're so witty!
Hi Cole! It kind of looks like the weather that's typical here in the Netherlands. Wet and windy. I like you and your videos a lot! I wish I could see your farm myself someday, but it is a very very very long trip😁. I look forward to more of these nice videos and (I almost forgot) I like the way you and your dad work next to each other. It is very loving.
Greetings from the Netherlands! Love Elise
Thanks for watching!
Cole & Brian:
The generator story never gets old; always plan for the future. Your father made a very wise decision in purchasing that piece of equipment at a great discount. 👍👍
Oh my goodness!!! Your farm looks like farms in Oklahoma!! I’m glad that your grain bins didn’t fall and all your cattle look good! Y’all are my two favorite guys on RUclips!! Much love and dry weather!! Kristin from Oklahoma 💕💕💕
Thanks!
I like being a favorite thanks!
Brian Sonne, I love watching you guys!! Y’all remind me of me and my Dad!! I’m so glad that y’all were safe during that storm! I hope your rye fields make it through!! 😬😬😬
Your Dad is so funny love his generator story
I mean, their use of dams too is pretty amazing... the other week I went out to cotton country and I swear to god I saw a dam that was like thirty feet high and the size of an entire field... it was nuts...
You guys seem to have a lot of fun it ain't everyone that has a dad that will cut up with you and make the day go by better it brings back memories of when we grew up thanks for ride along good video thanks for sharing
This was a very sad video, glad to see you and your dad can keep your sense of humor. Take care guys, hope it dries out soon.
Thanks so much
Sucks about the rain...but what a great day to fix that leaky wheel bearing on the tractor! :D
We have it repaired thanks for the reminder though!
Wow, that was a wicked storm with all of that damage! You were so lucky , in so far that you got only flooded, and only after you had baled. It could have been so much worse! I’m so glad everyone is safe, no silos blew over, etc. It stinks to get fields flooded, but it could have been so much worse. I hope thing will dry out week, keeping a good though for you all. The generator story will live on forever! Lol. You both have great senses of humour. 👍👍❤️❤️🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞sending you some sun here. .
I feel your pain. Being without power is a bummer. In February of 1998 we had an ice storm and lost power for 3 weeks. Temps dropped into the -20C range. Good to see all worked out good for you. Great vid ... Cheers
That sounds really rough!
The first time that I really remember being at the Corn Palace in Mitchell was in 1968 , I was 9 years old. And Wall Drugs was a thing to see and I swam in Wall Lake.
I was about 10 when we drove all the way to Mitchell to see the Corn Palace. 200 miles each way. It was way back before the internet & cell phones & we only had 3 channels on our black & white TV. We had nothing better to do.
never a dull moment for the soones
I have more stories to tell. my arms tired 🤣🤣 great video
Mounds and contouring to pen borders is a cheap and good way to meet water/flood conditions. Smart farming.
You can send some of that rain up here in Saskatchewan Canada ...and Cole i want to hear your dad chat more tired arms or not 🤣😂
Love your videos, I am not a farmer or rancher and I have learned a lot about farming and raising cattle from your videos.
We are so glad you are interested.
Thanks for watching!
You guys are so cool and funny I love it
There are a lot of stories to tell--and we want to hear them. Great video, wet and entertaining.
Glad you enjoyed it
Its raining at our place we were baling but we had to stop almost half done with the field mite have to wait a couple days before we start up again thanks again Cole hope some of that rain dries up
I'm glad the Slappy boys are dry and warm thanks Mr Stick
My wife said the same thing about our generator lololol. Electric goes off there in love with it
Cole, you and your dad are too funny😂😂. When I watch your videos I know I’ll be laughing at you two. Sorry about your farm. That stinks but, it happens🤷🏼♀️. My granddad was a farmer and we always had to help with the cows and planting. I do miss it though. Give your dad a big hug for me, my dad passed and I sure miss him. 💔❤️❤️
Sorry to hear that, thank you!
I really enjoy all of your videos. I watch a lot of farm videos on RUclips pretty much everyone that’s on RUclips. I will have to say you guys are my new favorite ones to watch. Ps your dad is pretty awesome and funny.
You guys are great always end up smiling at you please keep it up
Your old man's a funny guy 🤣🤣🤣
Cole, great video like usual. We hope you are drying out, that is a lot of rain for your fields to absorb at once. A group of us 911 dispatchers in PA look forward to your videos to keep us going. Keep up the great work and showing off your industry. P.S. Mary likes your dad, she follows him on instagram.
Dang. You mean I could have called you guys when my boot got pulled off in the mud? Lol. Just kidding guys. I bet you guys have your share of stories to tell. We had a knock at the door during the night many years ago. There were three young men at the door. The first one said can i have a glass of milk. I said sure whats that for. He said he heard if you lose a tooth you should float it in milk to keep it alive until you put it back in. He opened up his hand and showed about a 2 inch long tooth. They had missed the curve up on the highway and wrecked their vehicle. His tooth didnt break off it came completely out.
That Mary sounds special!
AWESOME! Hope the videos help to take a little of the load off!
@@briansonne814 we could have our own RUclips channel for the things we hear but you wouldn't believe it! I'm glad you were there to offer up some milk to save that tooth!
You two crack us up ... LOL. WOW on the damages, but happy that the farm will be okay. Watch out for clouds going back to fill up ;) ROFL
Tom from Ireland really enjoy watching you
thanks!
I love how you moo when your hands got dirty on the trailer x3..laughed out loud.....
I went through that Corn Palace with my mom many years ago
What did you think?
@@SonneFarms I thought it was cool that it even existed to be honest! And fun to visit. If you ever get a chance try House on a Rock in wisconsin. Aldso your live chat was fun. Get a po box ☺
The farming ranching life can sure be tough. Chins up and positive attitudes. It will get better.
I hate to hear and see all the destruction due to the rain. Glory to God that you are all safe and no one was hurt including the livestock. Have fun and be safe. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks John!
You guys are great..I love to watch your videos..Always a copious amount of dry humor. Man we could use some rain it is dryer than a popcorn fart down here in Tennessee. God bless ya.
Man you guys keep it interesting and fun while working so awesome to see your pops he is classic
Brian and Cole. I hope that you do not have to re-plant. Best of luck ! Sorry for the Farmers that lost so much.🙏🏻
Your Dad is awesome
Guys, you are very entertaining. Love your show !
Wow that brings back memory’s seeing the corn palace we played their several times hello from Nashville Tn
Howdy!
Awesome story dad. I'll bet you got some great ones. Man you guys are a great team, love your videos. Funny as heck.
Brian and Cole
Water Water everywhere.Funny how grade of your lots and fields hold so much water.
I live in the state of Washington where we are born with Web Feet.Good luck draining your fields.
We sure could use some of that rain up in Watertown. Another good video Cole
Thanks Craig!
I'm just glad y'all are safe.
Here in Texas we get the same huge thunderstorms, and we've lost several whole towns to tornadoes.
As long as your family is safe, you count yourself blessed.
Even though it really, really sucks.
Sorry about that.
Thanks!
LOL Your Dad is a character!! Says the funniest comments and keeps a straight face. Glad nothing really serious. You guys know that you just have too work with the hand that's dealt. I'm 60 miles west of you and got good rain but no bad storms.
Great video, love your spirit and attitude, funny too. Wow, lots of rain for 12 hours. When I mentioned the other day in another comment having rain for, what 6 or so days here in our mountain valley; about the same amount you got it in one night. Hope it dries out quick when the warm weather arrives! Our fields just about dried up now. Was out doing some electric fencing this morning......still muddy in places but standing water gone.
Thanks again fella's.
Hey Cole great video as usual. Will you do a video talking about the damage ye had in 2015. Saw the video you uploaded in 2018. Would love to hear your talk about it but maybe it’s a sore subject still.
Your LIVE broadcast teased The Generator Story...always prepared non-Boy Scout!!
definitely invest in Yellow Rubber Duckies!! Bummer crop mosquitoes in the future???
turn around don't drown........too late
Hopefully Lake Sonne, Lake Slappy, and Lake Sticky dry up real fast. We are actually needing rain down here in Illinois. Send it this way
Cole i hope that you guys dont have to much damage and you recover quickly God Bless
Thanks
Great video again guys. Had me laughing. So sorry that you have had to deal with storms. We have had thunder storms here in UK.. More rain tomorrow. Oh the joy of summer. Keep up the good work. Stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it
my laughs for the day, thank you xx
So glad!
