"The presentation of children has to do with the respect that we must always keep, for the individual human being of any age, of any color, of any breed, of any religion. That the individual must be respected for his individuality which means..he's unique as a human being."
He also knew how to command attention from the audience. I don't know how you can't watch anything that Yul Brynner was in and not enjoy his work. He was a great actor, but from what I've read he could be difficult to work with.
I was lucky to see The King and I live on stage in Chicago. I enjoyed musicals and had seen the movie a number of times. When I got married I use to watch them with my daughters. As they got older they remembered my love for this movie and surprised me on my birthday and got me a couple of tickets to see Yul Brynner live on stage in Chicago. I went with a friend who later took me to a little pub right off of Rush Street that Yul Brynner frequented and had a couple of drinks. We listened to stories from the bartender who he knew Yul Brynner very well . What a treat that was for me.
He was so handsome in his youth. Certainly not at my time but my mom enjoys the classic movies. Great actor. The accent is hot. People of that time had class. Not like this generation of fools.
Fascinating man, would've been lovely to meet him. Anybody here ever seen his film "The Double Man" from 1967. Very good I think but very seldom seen nowadays
I am watching the King and I with my three year-old granddaughter. There are so many lessons in this amazing and timeless story about cultural diversity, sharing, learning, mutual respect, geography, history and Love. Thank you Rogers and Hammerstein, Yul Brynner, Deborah Kerr, Rita Moreno, and the incredible cast, for such a sweet and inspiring movie! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏽😘
I had the privilege to see Yul B. 2 times at the pantages in LA. He was Great.the whole play was great. The man was captivating. The second time there he was doing chemo by day and preforming at night. There were some changes. He didn't go bare chested. And he wore slippers.not bare feet. But he gave his all wonderfully.
It was online a couple of months ago (I’ve seen the whole thing including the other one he did with the same interviewer) but they now have it private where you got to sign up with a school or library site to watch it 😞💔
Just purchased The King and I. Had never seen it all at once. What a treat I will enjoy many times and hopefully share. I am amazed at how many have never heard of it. Fantastic human being and actor.
1:04 - 1:12/ So true, it's creepy to know the medical fact that even twins are born with seperate fingerprints! I get that Mr. Brynner was speaking on a grand scale in regards to one's place amongst humanity. I just find it so beautiful that even medical science proves his observation to be true. Hell, we can't see wind, or taste wind. Yet we can feel it and know that it's there. The little things we as humans take for granted. May God bless and keep you...🇵🇷🇺🇸🗽🦂😎
They will then have to tell yul Brynner which side of family threw out Maureen by phares Daute or daude by Moses too. By they immediately acknowledged katziner sizing

A hugely intelligent man.
One of the greatest actors whose ever lived.
So true
A great actor with a wonderful voice, who moved like a panther. I had the great pleasure to see him onstage in London in the 70s 💖
He also knew how to command attention from the audience. I don't know how you can't watch anything that Yul Brynner was in and not enjoy his work. He was a great actor, but from what I've read he could be difficult to work with.
His voice was so gorgeous, I clicked just to hear it.

Yul Brynner was a wonderful photographer. He understood actors. He would have made a very good movie director. It's a pity it never happened.
I can hear a twinge of his Russian accent. He had an incredible presence and deserved his success.
