Bosch Keypad Demo & Sounds

- Short demo of the functions and sounds Bosch keypads make. These are the same sounds that Radionics keypads make.
Keypad is a B920 connected to a B4512 panel. Bosch has really improved the classic radionics panels, with a sleek modern keypad design, a little bit better UI, and a very affordable panel loaded with features such as an onboard ethernet port and the ability to send email or SMS alerts.
I'm getting ready to install a security system at a friend's house and this is the panel that I chose for him.
Enjoy!
New design, same old sounds. :) Always enjoy seeing Radionics systems at commercial sites.
Radionics has always felt like the weird kid nobody pays attention to. You either like them or you don't.
It’s good to see you still uploading occasionally.
Your videos are what helped me conquer my fear of sirens and alarms.
same
Nice seeing you around!
Cool stuff man! I love Bosch and old Radionics panels, I really like the older keypads, like the D1255 or the D360, they just look neat, and were a big part of my child hood.
Wow i’m glad to see you’re not one of the people who just purely hates the Bosch and Radionics panels. The B series looks quite nice, not my taste though, I’ll always stick to the classic 9000 series. We’re you able to program it without the d5370? I can’t find a clear answer on that.
B-series panels do not require the D5370 key.
However I would like to get a panel someday that supports the SDI keypads just because of the classic look they have and the fact that VFDs are awesome. 7000 or 9000 or even a G series -- but I'll have to figure out how to get ahold of a key to be able to use RPS...
Well if you ever need help with them, let me know, i’ve dealt with them for a long time now. They’re pretty simple once you get used to the programming, and have all the features you’ll ever need.
Me and KJ7BZC have been working on a neat project … I don’t want to give away too much of what it is, but let’s just say it has to do with some security panels, NPSTN, and a couple of central station alarm receivers. If you’d like to know more, feel free to email me or him, my email is in my about section of my channel. I think you might find our idea really interesting.
@@HiSmartAlarms I may or may not have been working on something similar to that...
I have never accually seen one of these systems in the field. Nice demo test!
That first sound sounds very similar to one of the sounds from the "Inside Your Computer" theme from Windows 9x. I remember hearing that sound every time the door to my former dentist office and noticing a similarity to the sound I just mentioned (at the time, I actually thought it was *the* sound).
Still enjoying your vids
Very cool, thanks for uploading this
The thing I've been wondering about Bosch equipment is why a decision was made to have a dedicated "GAS" indicator on the keypad, as opposed to fire or some other indication.
Makes me curious as well. Why did they do one but not the other. You would think that if you're going to do one then you might as well do both but I guess not.
2:24 is the best part
Always like a breath of fresh air when you upload
Interesting how the sound it makes counting down (& when reporting a supervisory condition) is the same one that commercial Bosch/Radionics fire keypads make in trouble.
I could have sworn I once heard a Bosch/Radionics commercial keypad making that same sound at 2:54, but I don't know for sure (as well as why it was making that sound).
Coincidentally I just acquired a DSC HS2032 the other day, I'm waiting on a keypad to use it though.
3:10 I hear this in my nightmares at this point
Whoa an upload, welcome back Andrew!
Am I the only one that thinks that the keypad beeping sounds like a midland wr-120 weather radio?
@HoldenProductions It sounds similar but the WR-120 is a bit higher pitched.
No ur not lol
it does
you back
Wondering what plans Bosch has up their sleeve , They now bought Paliden Security (Can and USA) now Bosch is in the service arena . As a old ADT /Tyco Tech , keeps you wondering
woah, he uploaded
Wow, I’ve always wanted to see one of these in action since they seem to be so common where I live. Thanks!
Yappers and the other y-word is what I see in the comments
3:02 When I have to listen to 30 minutes of that it drives me insane at work.
Interesting that it uses the same sounds as the old D series keypads, but I guess that’s a good thing since if the system were upgraded from an old Radionics/Bosch keypads homeowners/business owners/employees would already be familiar with the sounds and know what to do without looking at the display.
The only new sound these make is the code 4 beep for the "Gas" alarm, meant for carbon monoxide.
At the old high school there’s a fire lamp don’t know the model but the school was made in the 50’s
Fire tone starts at 2:24
Yeah you posted after a while
0:07 sounds like the Wr120EZ button beeps, where is my Weather radio enthusiast?
true
turned off the beeps cause it was annoying tho
1:22 I hate that sound when it happens at my work. We have the older Radionics panels and it’s annoying when someone is delaying the panel and it does that.
COMMAND 4 is how you silence one of those
@@NewAgeServerAlarm Thanks
So is there a interior bypass arming feature?
Holy hell this is cool! Glad to see you back!
Wait can you do the fire alarm sound?
Is it true that the Bosch B series have that?
Does the Bosch P series do a fire alarm alert?
finally you up loaded and i very want to ask would you set all your loudest fire alarms off if you still have them i miss those days
He'll do it if he wants to, *not* if he doesn't.
A lot of them are in storage apparently
happy to see you’re still alive man, we all miss you.
Just wanted to say cute pfp!
@@Roxxofoxxo we’ve met before, i swear
but thank you!
@@astrabarks Oh yea I think we have! But np lol!
Adorable pfp
@@huxleywolfkin1202 Awww thanks! Yours is cute too!
yay hes back
0:27 The sound that's constantly playing at Any home depot
They probably have some sort of trouble going on with the system whenever they open roof vent that it might sound of a trouble
I swear I've heard that EXACT hi-lo sound before, but I have no idea where
Glad to see another video! My boat VHF or UHF (I forget) has the same button beeps
It's always good to see and old legend in the community make an appearance. Kinda like the undertaker in wwe.
Hey man, do you think you can start making music videos with your fire alarm covers? Have them sound along the beat of the music?
I thought you wouldn't make videos anymore
Yeah we all do
Love these keypads!
2:25 that one sounds familliar because i saw it in one of SER Safety's videos
I've seen this in a convinience store but when the door is open, it plays the supervisory tone
I love the font of the LCD display text too, it's a very unique keypad in almost every way!
0:28 the bosch keypad at my school is different but with that same sound
I’m getting a napco security panel today and I’m going to hook it up to some of my fire and security alarms that I have collected. All of my knowledge and interest started with you and your channel and I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and the community.
Napco makes pretty decent stuff, although some of it seems a bit dated.
The biggest thing I don't like about Napco is like DMP they only sell through dealers so getting systems and components can be a challenge.
@@NewAgeServerAlarm I’m getting an older system. They are great. My grandparents had one that had no problems and was working perfectly for over 20 years until it was hit by lightning. But I like their old systems. They were old and dated but they were good. The panels from the 90’s have things about it that interest me.
I’ve got the old keypad from the system that I will hook up to the panel I’m getting. It is a Gem-Rp8 led keypad
0:29 the sound inside every public store ever
Ah yes the dreaded trouble tone
I hear those all the time
Great to see you still upload sometimes!
Pretty much the same system you see in every Walmart you walk into.
The reason why Bosch/Radionics and DMP systems are so frequently seen in national chain stores such as Walmart is because they're very easy to remotely manage. Companies like Walmart for example do their fire/security installation, monitoring, and service in-house. They can update the program on a Bosch panel in any of their stores in the US from Bentonville, AR.
Are these available in UK
Yay!
I am glad to see you back
Welcome back!
Welcome back. Is there going to be a new home system test with the Bosch panel?
Hi could you send out the design for some of your pannels like the 6009-M please I want to build my own and a vidio about them or realising designs would really help
Sorry I wanted you to make some designs public or maybee make a vidio auto correct let me down
@@jmw4835 Dude, please don't harass him with such questions, he's been through enough. Also he never made plans for the 6009, he did for the 5001-DC however: d38yc33ldby8vb.cloudfront.net/original/2X/9/95dbc2f20ffa66cb875c56909b30dcf328077d74.png

Nice to see a new video from you! I do have one question and that is do you still have the 8005 and i8005 and if you do can you do a video on them please.
They're both in storage and there's plenty of videos of them on here.
@@NewAgeServerAlarm I know. But it’s been 8 years since they have been in a video and it would be nice to see a new video on them

Yea no. This is not what I wanted to see. I liked the actual fire alarm videos.
Well this better then having no videos. I’m glad he still uploading then quitting his channel completely.
@@SomeDudeWithAnExitSign Indeed.
Plenty there to watch again
@@NewAgeServerAlarm Like classics like System Test 28 or the unlisted videos which are going to be privatized because of RUclips.
Bruh……..
This is why he doesn’t upload more often
